Best move you ever made. Remember, 3000 4000 are the best X is nice also. The 60 is to old
This is a backsound that I'm gonna use whenever I forgot to flush my toilet on the hotel
This is fuckin CRACK!!! I just saw your video about why you went to an MPC.. Salute, king! I remember my journey into the MPC world too.. Started making beats back in the early 2000's.. Magix Music Maker.. Sony Acid Pro 5.0.. Then to Ableton 6.. A 1st gen Maschine was next.. It was cool but it wasnt an MPC.. From there I traded a laptop for an MPC 1000.. Fell in love instantly.. Held onto that for about 2 years.. Sauced it up with parts and wraps.. At that point, I told myself I need another one LOL.. So I went and got an MPC 2500. Let me tell you -- he's a fuckin BEAST! To this day, my 2500 has been the sole source of my studio.. Still rockin with the DAW too.. Even tried the MPC Studio Black, 2 MPC Lives, and 2 MPC X's, along with MPC Keys.. But my 2500 is my soldier.. Congrats on making your way down this MPC path, brethren! I know you'll enjoy it!
💯💯 Appreciate it bro! I found my home. Sooner or later I'm going to get a 2500 or 3000 and play around with some vinyl. Might get on my j dilla shit.
ngl this is hard
This is heat, lets raise together
The reason MPC in general is better is the clock resolution from the microprocessor...which isn't tied to an OS like a PC, and the MPC microprocessor isn't necessarily 2024 power--which is the key. You want that in a DAW like FL for example? Timebase: 24 is about the closest.
I've experience in Reason, Ableton Live (great with the Push 2/3), MPC Live 2 (standalone mode), Koala Sampler (very intuitive), and Logic Pro (iPad). And my experience is that you can get fantastic sounding stuff out of each of them. In the end IMO it just comes down to what you enjoy using and making music with.
Baua ❤
Fire. Pure, fire.
I love my mpc live two had it for six months still, learning but I can say it’s much easier than a daw I cannot figure out abelton out worth a damn
Dope bro
💪🏾💪🏾
Bro I have a mpc 2000xl and a MPC live 2 this is how to get the exact older MPC sound . Go to dynamics and choose composer vintage , click it and the red interface will pop up , the knob at the bottom on the right turn it up 🤯🤯🤯🤯 you will get the MPC 3000 sound more so than the vintage 3000 effect.
That MPC hit different I used FL before but went back to MPC cranking them out
Prolly your last keyboard for at least the next 10 years.
I had the MPC 1000. Then when the Native Instruments drop MK1 the software and hardware was the best workflow for me. I started with ProTools and tried other DAWs but always went back to PT. My workflow is NI and PT.
Keep bangin 👊🏾
Naw you ain’t tripping I I’ve barely ever mixed the drums and it just comes out sounding great
Same , the drums got that powerful but settle vibe to it . I have a bunch of sound packs that sound low quality in FL but on the MPC they knock.
Amen
I started with reason myself back in 05 then before the balled dropped in 07 I went out and bought the 2500 and I’ve been a MPC head ever since.. I’ve tried almost every daw and have owned a Mashine and even way back when I had a Roland MV 8000.. NOTHING has the swing & feel of a MPC unless you go in the basement and dust the cobwebs off a SP 1200, nothing else will ever compare
I can speak the quality of daws. I've never used one. I feel like everyone has their weapon of choice but the mpc has always been mine. Especially as a former drummer. I have to physically connect with my art. Daws have amazing utility akai will always be a part of the beat culture.
MPC is in a class all of its own.
MPC is in a class all of its own.
I love my MPC Live 2 but I still use Ableton and Push the most. I start music faster on the MPC, but I finish more music with Ableton.
UA-cam algorithms put you on my timeline 🔥🔥🔥 just subscribed salute #mpcgang
Bruh this sounds like outside freestyle by RAAHiiM 😭
Same sample 😂😂
Very relatable! I went from cubase, to studio one, then reason since reason 4. Now I’m at the sp404mk2, EP-133, and koala. Why do I still feel like I want an MPC also?!
Follow your intuition bro, but the sp404 does look nice though. How is the workflow?
@@likemindsproductions225 for me it’s a slow process, but everyday I learn something, it makes it so much more fun. So I really enjoy it for the versatility.
Honestly, I think you are Trippin on the sound quality being better. I think you might be caught up in the mystique. My first MPC was the 60. Then I got the 2000. Then I got the 2500. Upgraded that too JJOS. Got the extra large screen upgrade for it. Eventually, I got the X. I fell in love with that thing. But honestly, it doesn’t sound any different than a computer to me. Nothing wrong with that. Computers sound great. Obviously in the right hands though. I have been mixing and master and for over 20 years so I trust my ears. It is possible that the workflow inspires you to make slightly better decisions maybe? That could impact how the overall beat feels to you. That is still a W as far as I am concerned. On a completely different note. Dot the algorithm brought me to this video and I have never watched your content before. Are you from Louisiana? I grew up in North Louisiana lol. Something sounds familiar.
Gotcha, good perspective! "It is possible that the workflow inspires you to make slightly better decisions maybe?" is a solid point, and could be true. I might do a comparison video one day. And yep, I'm from Baton Rouge.
@@likemindsproductions225 honestly, I have never done a proper Null test. TBH, I hope you are right and I am wrong. It might give me a little bit of bragging rights L O L! Either way, welcome to the MPC family bro! Enjoy!,
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 1:57
Dam,I also started on Music Generator then FL Studio,I used FL for 10years then I used Maschine for awhile and I finally got an MPC Studio (the silver one) after that I upgraded to the MPC One and I'm rocking with that now,I also use Ableton when I'm in the box..And you ain't tripping about the quality of the MPC,I find myself not having to compress or over processing when I make beats in standalone
I’ve been making beats on the IMPC pro 2 on my iPad lately. That thing nice too.
I use koala sometimes, but didn't try IMPC yet. Gonna look into it.
Nope! You ain’t tripping. The MPC is fire 🔥. The beat knock.
Facts I love the sound you get from the MPC
I’m a firm believer in using what works best for you.
I lost myself and vibe when I sold my MPC 1000, searched for years for something else, multiple daws and plugins. I bought a keys 61 3 years ago and I am back! Workflow is everything I know if feel a part of the machine
Soundwise they's all the same...MPC One, X, Live or Studio are technically all the same.Only difference is I/O, keys or no keys and internal drive.... ENJOY your MPC!
Yes the mpc is definitely my go to i be wrestling for years whice one sound better in sound quailty fl studio or the mpc it was a no brainer the mpc so iam full time committed to the moc still learning the mpc but how it make my beat sound incredible didnt have to do to much mixing fl u got to threw to many effects to make it sound good had alot of mixing problems with fl but fl dont even come close to sound quailty
Must ppl have a hard time with the work flow of the new joints... But the mpc one has been the best thing I've bought since I started making beats
It took me a day or two to adapt but it's no turning back nah
Same here
MPC is king 👑 #mpcgang my love affair started with the MPC 2000xl cut my teeth on music generator too, lol even went a similar path with Reason and the MPD too, lol. Akai changed the game when they released the Touch, that's when I knew they were coming back for their position as the go to Music Production Center
Couldn't tell me nothing about my MPD, I thought I was J Dilla 🤣 #mpcgang for life!
Nah you ain’t tripping. I was a longtime Maschine user and last year I bought the MPC X before the SE was released. Soon as I turned it on I could hear a difference. Been using it ever since. I use it completely stand alone, which is why I wanted it to begin with. I’m real partial to the MPC 60 emulation in there, I hear a difference with that one that sounds good to my ear. And you right, Roger Linn said they had great sound quality and circuit design. I was just messing around with the X before I watched your video.
I got my eyes on the se. Gonna get one sooner or later 💪🏾 I didn't try the mpc60 emulation yet, might use it on my next beat. Keep working bro
Maschine workflow is hands down the best
@@user-vb9lu8kr3l Never tried Maschine yet, but explain?
Peace.....imo as a diehard maschine user that workflow ain't for everyone. Gotta find what's best for you. Plus the MPC is dope in the right hands.
@@user-vb9lu8kr3l I like the workflow but I just got tired of it after ten years. I like being able to just turn the X on without needing a computer and make music.
You sound like me! Whenever I lose inspiration I jumped from daw to daw trying to find that new sound. Finally came to realize it ain't what you use at all it's whatever gives you the best workflow!
Thought I was the only one 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Welcome Home Brotha!
Yeah man, you’re not tripping at all. You reminded me of my first time when I got an MPC that was back in the days I got a MPC II we didn’t have good DAW’s back then, but I was using a rackmount sampler and a external sequencer with a keyboard, but it was nothing like the MPC it changed the game. I’ve been a MPC guy every since although I have Machine and other stuff, but the MPC that’s my go to until I need to finish up my song I got to hook up to the computer you know..
💯💯 Yea, I'm sold. The quality was the main factor.
The mpc is in a league by itself
Yeah man cool video. I just got the MPC One+ after using Logic for years. It’s a steep learning curve but that sound coming out of there in standalone is crazy. I still use controller mode with MPC software as a plugin for Logic.
Appreciate it, I haven't tried it as a plugin yet. Good workflow?
Just came across your video , you planning to do tutorial beats on the mpc ?
yessir!
@@likemindsproductions225 alright , gonna sub, cuz ur music sound great. Greetingsfrom the netherlands
@@ipainthouses3084appreciate it! 💪🏾

Appreciate it. Guitar is a sample. I played the strings and laid the drums.
