Hello! I'm Matias, I'm a game composer and audio designer from Finland. My channel's content is pretty relaxed and irregular, and it's mostly about chilling with my beloved Dark Souls, fighting games and horror games.
I worked on the music and sound for 'Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax' by Dreamloop Games. You can listen to the soundtrack here: ua-cam.com/video/5IvlXWVTK1A/v-deo.html
I also record, mix and produce music. If your record needs an audio engineer, go right ahead and leave me a message!

One of the loneliest, most somber melodies I've ever heard. Once you hear it, it lives in you for the rest of your life.
This weekend, we celebrate Doom Eternal's release. It's Hell on Earth - Doomsday, once more, and for all eternity. A thousand thanks to id Software, Bethesda, Bobby Prince and Mick Gordon.

Doom E1M3 Toxin Refinery - "Dark Halls" Atmospheric Cover

NOW ENTERING: TOXIN REFINERY This calm and suspenseful track is one of the influential pieces that formed my love for Doom music so many years ago. It has a straightforward beat and a semi-technological vibe fitting for Episode 1. Dark, moody, awaiting... It sets the perfect mood for those early moments of a full Doom playthrough. Enjoy, and get ready for DOOM Eternal! Update: This track is now...

Counterhit pushback from Chun-Li's jab (SFV AE Season 3)
Переглядів 2756 років тому
Apparently the collision box of Chun-Li's jab did not get changed in the AE update unlike other characters' jabs. It causes less pushback if it gets counterhit by something, and therefore we have... Chun-Li specific combos!

Hong Kong to Budapest - Hitman: Codename 47 Tribute
Переглядів 1827 років тому
A tribute and a thank-you to Jesper Kyd, for his atmospheric and inventive music from the Hitman game series. Jesper Kyd is an unbelievable mastermind of textures and subtle touches, whose works are a modern goldmine of inspiration for handling pads, hi-hat grooves, samples, delays, chord progressions, you name it. Hitman: Codename 47 (2000) was somewhat of a prototype game, but it laid down ne...

Ensiaskeleet viimeisen Souls-pelin maailmaan. On tullut taas aika palvoa aurinkoa, kunnes kekäleet vain jäävät! Ensimmäisessä jaksossa vastassamme on pomo Vordt of The Boreal Valley, sekä ritariryhmä, kapteeninaan jo Demon's Soulsissa ensi kertaa näyttäytynyt Red Eye Knight. Loppubiisinä demoilua omasta Demon's Soulsin Maiden in Black -kappaleen koverista.

You ever wondered if The Vault Dweller from Fallout 1 ever felt like this entering the Master's den?
can anyone recommend me any bands that have this style (somber slower metal that includes acoustic guitar)
Masterpiece!
listened to this for the first time while killing a cockroach. really set on the ambience. 10/10.
Damn... This is perfect
como me da paz esta canción
The use of the choir from Kadingir Sanctum was EXCELLENT. Two masterpieces in one, great work
@@masterknuckles1888 Thank you! It was the last thing I added to this cover, after the first ”ready version” was already rendered. I’m glad you like it! 🙏
It just resonates with my soul. Brings back a lot of good memories, and a lot of bad, bitter sweet ones. But you need to lift your head up, and push on forward through life. Every experience, good and bad; made you who you are. Those experiences make you stronger, but at the cost of slowly becoming numb to the hardships around you.
omgggggggggg so badass ^_^
This sounds most meaningful on Armistice day each november 11th
Damn, this is pretty good
There's only two games that left such a deep permanent imprint on me, that I look apon its levels with the same nostalgic comfort as a childhood home.. Dark souls (Lordran), and Doom/Doom II. I was playing doom since I was 5.. Maybe it'll be one of the last games I play.. And that'd be just fine by me.
@@squishybrick I get what you mean. The land of the ancient lords and the UAC Mars base are home for me too ❤️ Some of the rooms and spaces in Dark Souls and even Doom can have a soothing, nostalgic effect. Like a sigh of relief when you enter. Like, okay phew, made it to a comfy spot, time to chill for a sec. Hard to truly describe, but it’s a 100% real emotion. Video games, man.
@@ShreddingDragon Nothing like just beating a horde of demons by the skin of your teeth, realizing you forgot a key or switch somewhere, and just backtracking through the swathes of corpses you left behind.. You just don't get that feeling in any other game BUT doom.. That feeling of being reminded just how badly you wrecked this place.. That feeling of pride, comfort, and safety. All your hard work, so neatly displayed all before you to walk past as you tour the level for some extra pickups or a key. That's partly what made doom such a comforting experience.. The backtracking was never frustrating, because of the display of corpses you'd left behind, so you never felt 'forced' to get familiar with the terrain.. It was a fully organic side-effect of the process. Same with darksouls.. You never felt 'forced' to backtrack, and whenever you did, it was never unpleasant to do, and gave you time to really 'settle in' to the environment.
Listened to a bunch and this is the best remix/cover for this song.
WE NEED MORE!!!!!!
Beautiful, beautiful work! lml.
Hello ! I hope you see this ; I love this piece to bits, and I really love this version. I'd love for you to check out Meganeko's version he put out for the 30th anniversary of the game, I adore the fact that both of your covers went for the lonely, powerful feeling, yet they're so distinct.
Hello! I just listened to Meganeko's version - very cool! I especially love the new, dramatic chord changes around halfway through. It's very musical and powerful. One of the best Sign of Evil covers for sure. Thanks for the tip (and thanks for listening)!
@@ShreddingDragon Glad you liked it ! He's been one of my favorite artists :) There's a lot of very varied music in there. Including the cybergrind track that gave birth to the cybergrind mode in Ultrakill aha
Quick question: Found this recently and I really love it. Clicked on the Download link to Soundcloud, and there's no download. Any way I could get this from you?
Great !!!
I love this. That's all I can really say. My love for it is hard to put into words.
There's no one else, in my House of Pain.
Beautiful! 🖤
@ShreddingDragon thank you for inspiring me. 🖤🤘
...that poor imp.
Alabado sea el DOOM SLAYER
This song feels like it's telling a cinematic story And i love it
автор трека гений, снимаю шляпу. одна из мощнейших вещей, что я слышал за последнее время...
By far the greatest DooM remix I've ever heard. DooM music always been special to me, I have a DooM playlists I been adding stuff too since 2009, have heard every Sign of Evil version youtube has to offer, yours is next level, perfection. Gave me a feeling I only felt once from a Legion of the Lost remix (Ty Halderman tribute, RIP)
utterly sublime. thank you
This has that sepia tone sound to it. You know. It's brown and hot. Like a Brazilian lady walking to market hot.
The Brazilian lady is hot.
Is the first part of the song inspired by "wondering about my love ones" from Wolfenstein 3D
Why was this on my music mix? Im not complaining though im just glad this got in my mix because this is goddamn beautiful to listen
Excellent!
One hell of a cover!!! \m/ ❤
These are quality covers, I need a wad/pk3
Holy crap. i wasn't expecting you here
Majestic.
1:03 I imagine this would slowly build up in the background when doomguy steps through a portal. only to wind up in a feild finding daisys head on a pike with her body on the ground next to it.
I wish this was one of the songs in the new doom rerelease
it really did live in my head rent free lol im back to it after 4 years
Better than idkfa too. Thank you.
POV: You suddenly remembered this video existed from 10 years ago
The sauce never ceased!
@ShreddingDragon man you've no idea the memories this brought back! Thank you haha. Glad you're still on this channel too.
After listening to Hulshult's version, I wanted to check out some more. I can confidently say, that this is the best one. THIS SHIT ROCKS🔥🔥🔥
This is so beautiful i really love it that a shame that they dint put your verison in the doom + doom 2 update.
@@lorik1426 Thank you so much. ✌️
This is so beautiful. Hellishly beautiful. First time playing the classic doom. Haven't played the 2016 version yet so I'm just taking time playing the OGs before the modern releases. And I came across this OST in this level and loved it. And now your cover version blew me away to hell on earth. Thank you for this. 🔥🌹💎
Thank you so much! Beautifully said. Thank you. ❤🤘 I truly hope you're enjoying your playthrough of Doom, and high respect for playing the originals first! If you choose to play the modern ones afterwards, you're gonna find so many cool references to the old games there. I'm actually really curious: How are you liking Doom, as someone who is playing it for the first time in 2024? How does the game feel for you, has it surprised you in one way or another? What's best about it?
@@ShreddingDragon Oh, I'm loving every second of the levels. It feels like I'm experiencing an immersive documentary of how video games have come so far. Like, in my current gaming sessions, I have Red Dead Redemption 2 and the classic Doom. So going back and forth between these two games makes you appreciate the craft that has been put into them despite the different generation. The surprising thing about Doom is the community behind it. Guys like you and the gaming youtubers (shoutout to @Decino) who are still releasing mods, wads, doing playthroughs and making music covers keeps the game alive. Just this recently, id software re-released the game with a super-bundle running on new engine and I'm stoked to try out the new 16 levels. You know what they say...Doom is Eternal! 🔥🤘
@@abidchy4479 That’s tight man! And thanks for the tip, I’m gonna check out that id Software re-release. It’s just fun to try out different sourceports and versions. If you end up wanting more og Doom and appreciate horror games, I highly recommend playing the PSX version of Doom. Same game, but it has a completely different soundtrack (dark ambient by Aubrey Hodges), colored lighting, and everything is just creepier!
@@ShreddingDragon Yo! Damn! The PSX version is really dark and gritty. It's crazy how Aubrey Hodges' score and lighting gives it an ultra-nightmare dead space type of experience. Playstation folks were smoking something back then.... Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Dinocrisis and this? Holy shit!
As he gazed upon the blood of his enemies that stained his hands, he realized that his mission, his quest, his crusade… had only just begun. He approached the portal, shotgun drawn, blood boiling, and heart full of rage, ready to do what he was created for… to *rip* and *tear* the forces of Hell to shreds…
He chose the path of perpetual torment. May the blood on his sword never dry, and we never need him again. Wait a minute, near the end I heard a bit of III. Dakhma in the background. Nice dude
The way the guitar is played... you can feel it in the bones!
Suena increíblemente bien. Me encanta la atmósfera de soledad y poder que transmite. Esto es insuperable
Muchas gracias! ❤
always loved the tone of despair to this track, went hand in hand with the theme of Doom itself. Great cover.
your vidéo suck
Stfu goofball.
This is a great mix of E1M8!!! Keep up the great work!
Shredd you have an uncanny ability to really encapsulate the haunting atmosphere of DOOM. i feel like that element has been really lost in the new DOOM games and its a huge turn off for me ugh
That means so much to me. I love Doom so much, both old and new. But they are two separate worlds, two different kinds of love. For me the old Doom is where it’s at. Dark Halls is a track that really stuck in my mind as a suspenseful, strange mood after hearing it for the first time as a kid, playing Doom - on my uncle’s computer. 😂 It had an absolutely ghostlike sound to me. I had never heard anything quite like it before. Thank you and keep on rocking!
best track in DOOM
