At least you have a coax connection site on the back of your new TV. My smart vizio has No coax option . I would have to purchase a converter box first HDMI to coax ! 😮

I seen a transistor radio of all places family dollar for $8. I bought my granddaughters 12,10 . They thought is was so cool because it wasn’t apple play. They came with the old ear phone. I told them I used to run the cord under my shirt to listen to the World Series. I told them we used to sit on the school bus with the radio up to our ear. They played with them for a couple of weeks so I got my money’s worth. Brought back memories.

I have a similar Admiral except mine is plastic and a clock radio. The dial is exactly like yours. Still going on original filter cap. No hum yet. Also, I believe yours is mono, not stereo, even thoiugh there is two speakers.

Holy Crap! That brings back memories. I used to have one of those Alarm Clock Philco radios, my uncle gave me, when I was in Junior High (1977-79). I mostly used the alarm function to get up for school; sometimes I'd listen to Paul Harvey commentary via AM radio while getting ready for the day.

Beautiful radio from when everything had style. Philco Ford also made the consoles for the Appollo program.

In the 60's I got a little radio that size for Christmas. I don't remember the brand name. It was a turquoise color. That was my very first radio.

My father had a transistor radio. He threw it down the incinerator and kept the trash. Got it out before completely melted
