I cut my hours at work in half

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 5 months ago about self development. Now I have 323 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Fear sucks.. I'm fearful for losing my apartment, my lil $13 an hour job, my family getting sick, just so many things that my 9 5o 5 isn't enough.

I quit my job I do have a backup I want a cdl. I just couldn't take the environment the people I worked with was toxic

I tried quitting my job last year and was promoted. i decided that I will take on this new promotion and see if its for me. Next month will be one year. I am ready to quit again but i have an upcoming surgery so i need the insurance. Im 51 my 3 kids are adults my fiancee and I dont pay rent or mortgage no car payments and one small loan. I know that by the end of this year after my recovery i will be submitting my resignation again because after 8 years there I'm really tired. I live on a beautiful island and I know with my background I can find something part time or online until my side business takes off.

I wanna quit my job too and wanna do the job God wants me to do for him. I can't hear God's voice for myself but I need to have enough faith to still quit without no backup plan but do it just don't say it I have a different feeling inside when thinking about doing the action of quitting my job but have quit jobs in the past a lot of them but the difference now is I wanna live in a place somewhere on my own get the place then quit my job but not only quit my job but work for God's kingdom after I quit my job. I know I don't wanna keep wasting years working at a job working for someone else company I wanna work for god where it really matters not making another person's company richer I been working jobs for someone else since 14 or 15 years old I know it's time to get out of working for someone else I actually started feeling like this 8 or 10 years ago now.

So I also just typed my letter of resignation. And I have a meeting to "talk through it" with my manager. I love reading these comments to see people doing the same. I'll check back to update my progress. This was a story Wisdom!!

I would advocate careful thought and strategy before someone walks off. This is my weekly topic for my own subscribers. Career. One thing that can really bring a person into depression is 40 hours a week of hating their job. The job is literally almost half of the waking life. The problem many people have is that they have a craving for security. The person will tolerate being unhappy if that is their normality. People would rather have secure bitterness than the fear of stepping off the cliff. The fact is that you can change your career anytime. At 40 or 50. I once knew a car salesman of 30 years who did really well but started to hate his job--so became a nurse at 57. He is now a travel contractor. His friends told him he would be 57 by the time he got licensed as an RN. He told them he would be 57 anyway. So he will now spend the next ten years doing something he likes instead of something he hates. But you have to decide if it is life on the sea you hate or just that ship you're traveling on. In other words--do you hate your trade or just the company you're at? But whatever you aren't happy with you must change and continue to advance yourself. Hope this helps someone---Charles.

I'm going through the comments and looking at all these people's opinions and views, realizing that their comments are over a year old thinking about how successful and happy they look now. Truly inspiring!

Lose friends, lose family, lose your job but don't lose yourself. Surviving equals fear but living equal happiness. Stop doing what you are used to doing and start doing what you should know how to do. The risk of all risk.

This requires much prayer, and making sure there's some type of savings in that bank account. Especially, if you have financial responsibility.

So...I have a confession to make. I quit my fist formal job without a backup plan and I had absolutely no fear!! The reason was....I DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BACKUP PLAN! I had enough money to support myself for a month but I had not even started applying to other jobs. Ignorance or stupidity in this case was bliss for sure.

I think worrying what others will think is what bothers me. Plus cant really afford to.
