DIY Pull Up Bar - Cheap and easy project for under $25
Переглядів 24 тис.4 роки тому
Due to gyms not working I decided to make a build a Pull Up Bar in my hallway. The only prerequisite I had was the bar to be removable, I spend good 2 hours in the hardware store looking for things I can use to build it. As I mentioned, this can also be installed on corner walls, just have in mind the angle you need to cut the metal pieces to be able to fit.
How to Test 18650 Batteries Capacity if its Real or Fake

How to Test 18650 Batteries Capacity if its Real or Fake
I'm not saying you are wrong but, this test is incomplete. You verified the capacity. However you didn't verified the 20A load for a period of time which is really important for an ebike or any electric vehicle. From just looking at it the AliExpress one is certainly not original just a copy. Although if it can discharge 10A for example for a period of time without getting too hot it most likely a good copy. But you didn't check. There are many copies now that have the capacity rated but they suck on high current loads. There is a problem if you need high current draw for periods of time. If you don't the copies are fine. The real issue is that it is dangerous because your ebike may catch fire if you using it to the max.
Peel and stick? We call it self-adhesive in England.
❤Thanks for the inspiration
How do you like the Panasonic NCR18650GA?
Da m ks u
so you are paying extra 1.5 dollar just for nothing china is just great it makes europ company incapable of competting
you should have shown breadboard connections and setup process more clearly. I have tried so much but this thing doesn't works. specially the IR system. also there is nothing mentioned about the IR sensor in the description
did anyone successfully made it ?
Good job.
Hi, when is the continuation? Regards, Cezar.
Is the complete video out yet?
flex seal works great
If i have high drain 18650 and written on it 30 a how to know if it is real 30 a?
Thank you for the review
Where can I buy that discharge heatsink fan device?
I have a battery tester that goes up to 20A 200w 30v
Ed, can you show us how to use the AA battery to power this
This is gold. 25$ including the tools?
Did you ever figure out what the "barn door lock" thing is called? I didnt find anything like it at home depot and i have no idea what to look up online
So essentially, if it’s from China, it’s fake.
What is an exiting feature? Will it exit your life when touching it?
Is the wiring diagram or the video correct? In the diagram the A4988 driver RST pin is connected to D2 & the DIR pin is connected to D1. In the video however it is D3 & D2. I soldered everything together and loaded the code onto the board, but testing the IR Hex codes doesn't work (nothing happens) and Alexa doesn't find it? Im not sure what the problem is...
P.S I got it to connect to the wifi :D only over usb-c though
The same sphere but this time cure the concrete with the light roof fibers of a rolls Royce on the outside 🤯
Came over from your reddit post. This is brilliant man!
You can also use a sponge to smooth the concrete
This is such a nice project, I love it. Mine would be painted mat black on the outside with the inner surfaces in metallic gold.
Gorgeous! Hit up jlcpcb for a sponsorship and get some custom boards for your next one!
Great idea! Make one for a doggie door and you will become a rich man!
That would be an easy thing to make. Just to glow when getting in or out? I might just make one and give it away.
If they are Chinese then the latest scam is to fill them with sand to make them fill heavy
Hi, may I know how do you supply power to the microcontroller?
Awesome video. The big question is: how does the stepper know where the shade is if the controller looses power and then gets it back?
It will be very unlikely for power lose to occur on a regular base. But what did happen few times was Arduino crashing and rebooting. If you have watched my concrete lamp build, I have improved on this by writing the current steps in the memory. So even in case of power lose or reboot the stepper would always know where it is. I am implementing the same thing on my second smart blind build. As I am testing it now, when I will be happy with the code I will update it for this project too. Thanks for watching!
@@thediyed Awesome Ed! I look forward to check that code when it's finished. The thingiverse file helped so much! Subscribed. Greetings from northern Argentina!
Absolutely amazing! 👏👍😍
Thank you! 😊
Nice job! I love it!
I'm glad you like it
I am so thankful for you posting this. I can diy many things and am always looking for ideas. My wife wanted me to build her nightstands with a drawer, but I havent built a drawer yet.
You are very welcome!
Clean, simple and elegant. Thank you!
Glad you like it!
This is really nice! I like how you did something very modern while respecting the warmth and rusticity of wood. Great Job!
Thank you very much!
Happy new year missed you man
Happy New Year! Thanks man, good to be back! Looking forward to push more DIY in the 2023.
I think the concept is really cool and it's extremely eye-catching. I saw a comment below that mentioned adding a spiral motion like that of a screw. I second that recommendation I think that would add to the elegance. I personally love critique I think what you've made is awesome take this next suggestion as a suggestion 🙂. I found the inconsistency in the concrete sphere distracted me a little bit. I totally understand that pouring concrete is extremely difficult and I can't claim to be an expert. I think if you make a second edition if you can get the spheres to be more uniform, especially if you decide to implement the spiral motion, it will increase the allure. If getting perfect spheres is too difficult to acquire then I'd suggest sticking with the linear motion without spiral and leaning into the rough cutt features of the concrete by making it look like a stone 🪨 cracking in half.
Thanks! I agree with most what you say. Not sure about spiral motion. That actually would be easier to do. The only way I personally can Imagine a spiral motion to be more interesting is if the bottom and top will spin while opening. Atm I am working on a another concrete lamp, but this one doesn’t have moving parts. It’s mostly interactive and it looks like an art peace. Hopefully a vid will come in the following months.
King
Thanks!
Podrías darme el link del proveedor o vendedor de Aliexpress que te vendió las baterías 18650 originales?
Links en la descriciòn del video.
Thank you, appreciate the links too :)
Thanks!
🤙 best time is after midnight!
Yep, nothing like working on your stuff when the world is sleeping.
@@thediyed I just used the opportunity of my 3 kids sleeping to tackle another Orlandoo Hunter micro diy fix! 😅🤣🤣🤣🤜🤛
Try using clear 100% silicone caulk. Same as for sealing around a sink in a kitchen or bathroom. Use a small paint brush and apply it in thin coats and let it fully cure. That will also make it easier to remove than epoxy.
I managed to fix it and it was working fine. I did had a fun time in the lake. As this was mostly for testing I will do a video of a 2.0 with adjustments
@@thediyed cool!
Looking forward to the DIY! :)
Thanks, waiting for some parts and will start working on it also doing some code changes for more sensitivity
Nice , love your vids.
smart idea! gonna steal some of that for my own doorway pullup bar build, thx for sharing
I am glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching!
Where can I get these I have never seen
Build it myself. Planing to make a full DIY vid eventually
@@thediyed oww please! I did it your other smart diy! Saludos desde Argentina :)!! Espero su video, gracias!!!

Bang goes any Warranty. Very risky to drill holes in your frame. They are built that way for a reason.
I am no worried about it. Its more then 2 years since I build it and 0 issues.
I dont have these machine metal cutter. So frustrating
If you don't have the tools. In almost every big hardware store they have a workshop you can pay a small amount to get access and do your project there. The one close to me charger something like 10EUR per hour, nice deal.
Hi. Great job. What do you call the rubber ring you put in the frame hole please? Do you have a link?
Not sure how to call that part. but I made it and 3d printed to protect the wires from getting scraped and make it look more sleek. I will need to find the STL and attach if you want to print it out.
