Hello, I am doing research related to lesson planning in different countries, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions on this topic. 1. Do you prepare a plan for each lesson? A-yes B-no 2. How much time do you spend preparing the plan of the lesson? 3.What part of the lesson plan is the most important in your opinion?

Never. Ever. Don't ever take stude6ny work out of the classroom. "I turned it in" is a slander that can easily be proven wrong. Share you policy with parents. Touch a piece of paper ONCE. This is way too much touching/time consuming.

I learned about 43 folder system with Bridget Spackmann of The Lettered Classroom and I"ll never go back. My kids also have an orange folder for their weekly work. Everything they do through the week goes in there. They have one pocket for unfinished work and one pocket for finished work. In the middle prongs are resources like ABC charts, hundreds chart, etc. On Thursdays, I go through them and anything not finished becomes part of their "Ketchup" work for Ketchup and Pickles. It has completely saved my sanity. I have a Turn-In Bin in the front of the classroom for exit tickets, formative assessments, etc.

There are so many little details when it comes to classroom management that we don't even think about. Little things like you mentioned: how to get materials, when they can go to the bathroom, how they enter the classroom , passing out papers, where do students turn in finished work....the list goes on. I did a tips for new teachers video on my channel, and I explain too that you have to teach and model everything-don't take anything for granted and assume they know how to do something. I understand what you are saying about there being so much information and you not knowing where to start and it's overwhelming but yes, I sometimes have to talk to myself to and say "pick what you want to do and focus on it" don't try and do it all. I provide a lot of movement breaks...I know what you mean about "the wiggles"...the students are starting to shift and move and I'm starting to lose them. I know you touched on it, but I'd love for you to consider doing a video focusing on what you do during those times when students need a break. I need to freshen things up for myself because I have been doing the same things for years and it's getting stale for me. Great video. You actually gave me an idea for a video on my channel (I'll credit you of course). Glad I stumbled upon your channel. New subscriber here! 😀
