The Cavaliers- "Africa" by Toto
This is a video of The Cavaliers performing "Africa" by Toto. This performance was a part of The Cavaliers encore performance after winning first place at the Michigan City DCI Competition.
I do not own any rights to the music, nor am I associated with The Cavaliers. I am simply sharing this wonderful music for people to hear!
Enjoy!

Dude...this is amazing
Warum finde ich die Bundeswehr gut ? ... Weil es den Bundesherreskorp gibt ... Wir dienen für Deutschland! ❤ (SPD)
The ending was horrible. That said, the arrangement is wonderful!
Van buren band on top
Trombone players where you at? love this
I would love to see the whole percussion section part to this?🎼🥁
How beautiful please 👏👏👏👏👏😍😍😍😍😍
When you watch this it makes you wonder why all videos aren’t filmed in 240p.

HOLY SH*T THE GODDAMN MELLOS!!!!!!! I’m a trumpet player and I tip the cap. Excellent work all around.

no way the audience actually claps 2 and 4 lets go
😡
My dad is in here
What year is this encore?
Why the heck is no one talking about how there is lightning detected 3.3 miles from this guy?? 0:00
Dude seeing all of these comments about the mellos as a forgotten mello is like - AM I IN HEAVEN OR????
G O M E L L O S !
When you have hundreds of trumpet players to spare
"lightning detected 3.3miles from Auburn, AL". Even the gods are a fan =)
This is another reason why I’m learning Mellophone even tho I have already learned a lot like Transposing from Alto & Mello and also play an instrument in the Key of F so about does it Almost. But I’m definitely thinking about switching within now & Next Fall of 2022. Bc I’m also looking forward to being a Marching Southerner next Fall as well.
The first time I ever saw this video I was in 8th grade, completely uneducated about DCI, literally had no clue the Cavaliers were one of the best corps, and didn’t even know that I’d be playing mellophone next year at the high school (as a French horn player). Genuinely thought it was a high school band and I remember being completely blown away. I came back to this video cause I’m a third year mello and I’m utterly in love with this sound. I wanna try out for a couple corps in the next few seasons and it all started with this video. Music can change people.
How did it go?
i was goin to make a snarky comment about the cavaliers in general, but then the mellos hit hard...
WOW!!!! WOW!!!! WWWWOOOOOWWWW!!!! A partir del segundo 36!!!! Maravilloso!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 BRAVO!
oh hey look, a lightning strike 3.3 miles from here. sick, anyways, hers africa by toto
Boy that sucks
Now this is my mello
I appreciate the amount of Mello Also careful about the lightning
Honestly the mellos are what make this amazing, their sustain is celestial
Nice 👍🏾
I should play louder and higher.
arranger?
The only bad thing about this video is that it was recorded on a flipphone
I watch this every other week to cleanse my soul
Simplesmente Magnífico!!!!
Fantástic,, Very Nice Song
Low brass 👌
This song gives me chills
why is this filmed on a banana tf
That PHAT mello sound
"Lightning detected 3.3 miles from Auburn, AL"
God is with use
excuse me theres lightning
What happened to the drumline?
I say this over and over but they really need to redesign trumpets for drum and bugle corps to be more like the G bugles from the 1980s and 1990s. 0.468" to 0.470" bore size with a larger bell. A 6 inch bell would be great. It would change the sound of drum corps so much. The lead trumpets wouldn't sound so thin against the mellophones and low brass then.
Those mellophones are really loud and with pretty good tone quality and intonation for overblowing.
