I really like how Indians present their history glorifying their culture. (Nothing against you)
He isn't Indian. Dr Careem is Sri Lankan ❤ 🇱🇰
@truecomrade975 I know
I knew you were NOT Muslim, so you are a PARSI. No wonder you only speak about NON MUSLIMS. Please accept Islam to save your life brother.
What is Dr Careem is a Non Muslim and Parsi, how does it hurt you. Please try to respect other's personal choices

Love this channel keep it up 👍🏼
Don't talk about silly things,The reason why this community is disappearing is not anyone's blame because they Marry only among them so their fertility rate is very low.
He has very clearly stated that it is strict marriage rules, hence their numbers are low. I don't understand whether you watched the video in the first place, before jumping the guns and attacking for no reason.
Sir answer my question. Are you also a parsi? 🤔... I think in an sirasa tv podcast you said you were afghani...but do you have parsi ancestry too? 🤨
I think Dr Careem has some Parsi connection. As all the videos on UA-cam on Sri Lankan Parsis have been done by him, and in one interview the Parsis ask him "aren't you a Parsi" so yeah.
@@KumariMadugalle-n4u 👍
I though Khan Tower is in memorial to Muslim person. Today i realised 2 things other is Victoria House (eye hospital)
Thank you. Very informative. I still respect and admire them. They have been mostly a MERCHANT COMMUNITY of honest businessmen having DRAPERY SHOPS lining Main Street, Pettah, like Kundanmals - Handlooms, Pestonjee, Customer, Mottimal and Rustomjee at Dam Street and even one in Kollupitiya, to my knowledge.
School days we played a cricket match with a Parsi team They brought food for us too delicious food Kind polite people Thanks Dr Careem for your research Keep up your good work
It's lovely to hear about your positive interactions with the Parsi community.
Be an ex muslim like me from KATTANKUDI.. so many ex mudlims friends are in KATTANKUDI.. Thanks, a lot my friend..
Love how passionate and enthusiastic you are Dr Careem in explaining such a wonderful story on the Parsis, who seem like an interesting religious and ethnic community. Keep up your good work Dr.
Thanks a lot for the support - I appreciate it wholeheartedly.
So glad to find your channel ! Subscribed ! Great story ! But I wished you shared history as is … without injecting abit of conspiracy into it! I think it adds a stain to a memorable Moment of history ! This sort of conspiracies / assumptions is what have left us SLankans hv forgotten the great history & try to Rewrite it with local-nationalistic notions. Anyhow just a thought, Otherthan that … great video ! Thankful ! 🙏🏽
Very interesting Dr Careem!
Thanks for the compliment! I’m glad you found it interesting 😊
Great story. Thank you.
There is an anaconda Inside my pants.
Wow. The script and the flow is unbelievable. Like its pure AI 😮
If you mention references in description, it might be great
King Senerat was an Idiot. Some of his stupid decisions basically guranteed a future conflict. We all know what it is.
As a Sri lankan catholic i appreciate your wonderful work. Thanks for this and may God bless you abundantly.
Yes, you are right in another sense. They may have left some traces. That's the reason one of our men who sat on the throne appointed his buddy to the highest body of the world, the UN as our representative. They say birds of the feather flock together. But our nation filled with people having empathy. See what empathy means as shown pictorialy by two people in another country Play: Schlager hits 2025 die Amigos.
Danish were try in English ruling time again. Anagarika Dharmapala warn about this . Danish spy are working around here at that time.😊
Great video as always. If you haven't already, pls invest in a basic clip on mic. This will greatly improve the sound quality further ❤
They are the true 'Yamnayas' (not the so-called 'aryans') who would steal other people's wives, and children without any mercy killed their men. They got mixed with the people in the land where sun never set and perhaps gave that character. Is it not, dude?.
Even the French came to sri lanka...
Awesome video
Excellent thank you
If you could add information about the exact source material or books you referenced in the description of every video, it would help us read more and expand our knowledge.
Fascinating! Thank you Dr for teaching us our untold history.
❤👍
You really illuminate us, Dr Careem! Suggestions: (1) Can we know some things about the gems that adorn the British Queen's crown. Have we asked back for them, and if so, the British response? (2) A piece of history that has personal interest to me - Rajasinghe II. (3) Sri Wickrema Rajasinghe, the last King of Sri Lanka. (4) Uthuwankande Saradiel.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I appreciate them. In fact I did a video on Rajasinghe II's menagerie ua-cam.com/video/zy92NcLgK78/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
The grill is called the neriya, isn’t it? Odokkuwa is the lap.

Your english is very fascinating professor.
'Aanai-Kondran' tamil word is more meaningful. Here Aanai - elephant, Kondran - killer. Although these 30 feet snakes may not swallow larger elephants they can swallow baby elephants or smaller in size. South Asia / Sri Lanka may not have Anaconda species. But south asian people were great sailors in ancient times. They used 'Kattumaram' to sail all over the world. This Tamil word 'Kattumaram' was later borrowed into English as Catamaran. The Mayan civilization of South & Meso america had a strong similarity with south asian culture. The words 'Mayan' and 'Mayapan' (name of a Mayan city) are common between two cultures and are used by Tamils as person names. Pachai Amman & Pachamama worship are common between Tamils & Mayans. Temple architectures and many more things can be matched. So, obviously people could have travelled from one part to another. This way the word 'Aanai-Kondran' could have been coined. Later Europeans borrowed this Tamil word and called it Anaconda.
UA-cam's algorithm is pretty good. This video showed up in my feed now and I just returned to Norway from Sri Lanka today. I stayed in Trincomalee...
This would have been great. We would have some Danish genes mixed. Tall and strong
Well the Dutch are taller than the Danes, in fact the tallest in the world .

Great content! Have you thought about improving sound quality?
Please explain the French that controlled Trincomalee according to Dr. Lorna Devaraja
Senarath seems intelligent, he took the opportunity. I think they didn't fear Portuguese, but the Sri Lankan politics🤭😂
Our salute to you Dr for bringing to light our rich Sri Lankan history, and how Europeans tried to exploit our country and the Sinhalese Kings. Danes & Norwegians, is a subject that should be spoken more of, as there is limited knowledge on it. Historians like you Dr, should work on rewriting our history, especially the colonial period, highlighting how Europeans were desperate to colonise our land for their own self gain.
Thanks Dr Careem for this incredible story & appreciate your efforts. Didn't know that the Danes & Norwegians tried colonising Sri Lanka. I wonder what did they steal from Sri Lanka, must have taken something before they left. Again, please keep up your good work and we wish to see more stories from our Sri Lankan history. Hope Danes and Norwegians watch this video !!!
Can you support to correct our history manipulation by English. They erroneously marked many important locations to manipulate many religions including buddha history and allowed indians to get atmosphere to manipulate buddha Subject . And our origin too written with utter lie.
Do you believe Buddha was born in here srilanka ?
@හේෂාන්පෙරේරා Sri lanka is name given by Sirimawo. Its sew helaya. All Buddhas exits only on this land , in a page of pujavaliya india and napal listed as lands where no Buddhas ever born. Some ppl explain physical sources on stone inscriptions, ruins or books from local or foreign . Some by ppl of spiritual relationship or development . There are lot of things visible on this land we waited until all stollen or destroyed. If you interested i will send links to support. Even marco polo knows than us about buddhas tomb .
