Today as left Yoyogi Park, I saw a UFO looking building in the distance and walked over to it. Next to it I saw a place I instantly recognized: the concert venue scene from Lily Chou Chou! Once I got home I looked it up to confirm: Yoyogi National Gymnasium! Then I came across your video and couldn’t believe it. Ashikaga?! I just went there a few weeks ago for the Wisteria Park! I stayed in Ashikaga for four days. I had no idea it was the filming location for Lily Chou Chou and I honestly didn’t recognize anything. The place almost felt like a ghost town to me. It was a strange, uncanny place. But for some reason I felt a connection to it. Now I know why. Amazing video! Thank you.
No way, I had a similar experience with the UFO looking building. I was visiting Tokyo for the 2nd time and encountered the building and thought that it looked familiar. I'm so glad you went to Ashikaga too, albeit to different places. Thank you for watching!

glad to see you’re still replying !! i visited here last month but i ran out of time to explore the area since i had to catch the last train home :( by any chance do you have the location for the factory? i couldn’t find it anywhere and this was one location i missed out i live in tokyo so i will be visiting again in august when its green just like the movie the old lady still works in the ramen place she is absolutely wholesome !
