If that's the case I don't understand how they don't communicate, or is there a flow divider? I see there are an even number of pistons so is it really two rotating groups mingled together?

Why do these pumps have two outputs ? Are they independent circuits to allow equal flow to both track motors ? If you have pressure at P2 but nothing at P1 ports would that be a damaged port plate on one side ?

To insert the rotating groups you need to heat the the housing 230F and assemble the the drive shaft and driven shaft with all bearings retaining plate barrel and pistons center pin is threaded use an auxiliary screw and washer hold the rotating group together with the cup spring and shim stack and barrel to be assembled before hand. Note the timing marks on the drive and driven shaft during installation.
