While I agree with the chat around Origin, however Origin is an Aussie thing run by the NRL. International football isn't, so the NRL will never prioritise International Footy of origin unless the NRL is allowed to run/partial ownership in the International game.

Losing 90k a yr based on your heritage would not fly in any other industry in the land and im prusuming the NRL still fall under Australian workplace laws. Im not saying open up the doors to origin but a player like Victor Radley for example, who qualyfies for NSW based on everything cant play because he wants to represent his fathers heritage is unjust. Get rid of the tier systems and aslong as players are either born in in nsw or qld or arrive there before their 12th birthday let them play origin and play for any nation the wish. Tonga and Samoa will not remain tier 2 nations for long esp if the keep beating nz and England and then players like luia, critta and teo'o will be either forced out of origin or worse still turning their back on their national side resulting in them nations becoming teir 2 yet again

Still don’t get how James Fisher Harris is ranked high. He’s proved when playing for the Kiwis that he’s a system player who’s benefited a lot from a team like Penrith who have a great back 5 to get them out of yardage! Especially ranking him above AFB who not only plays longer minutes, but has better stats, and better impact on a game. Ofcourse Fisher Harris is a top 10 middle in the game. But having him that high up is only because of team accomplishments and nothing else. Respectfully

L1 from D1. The OG Benny Barba putting in work out in WA. Played for the indigenous side in the annual 9s 3-day tournament, beating Hawaiki Roa. He had 1 try assist and 1 try with 18minutues in the GF the bala was so accomodating to everyone all weekend. Absolute legend. 🙌🏾 Good to see the OGs still have time for the community.

For this weeks episode boys.. love the podcast… it’s been frustrating to see Todd Payten not utilising Jason Taumalolo properly or not giving him enough minutes… nor the respect!!! After the Tongan boys win last night.. Jase proved he still has what it takes and dominated in the middle with AFB and led from the front, against Fisher Harris and Tapine, Thompson and Whyte. To think that even during origin when numerous players were out, Payten still had the nerve to bench Jason. For whatever reason Payten isn’t getting the most out of Jase. What’s your thoughts boys?

Crosslands best position is 9, Wishart best position is 9 but honestly think he would make a cracking 13 in todays game Not skilful enough I don't think to be a legitimate No7 or explosive enough to be a damaging 6. But handles the middle can ball play well & good leg speed around the middle could be a real breakthrough for him if a team backs him to be their guy at 13

The tier system is silly now. Tonga and Samoa are strong enough, once you pick you should have to stick- but still be eligible for origin. Eg To'o grows up in NSW but wants to represent his heritage at internationals, fine. Why should tier matter, how would it be diluting origin to have Radley, who grew up in Bronte, represent his dad and family for England in internationals?

I think we need to move away from origin and international being either/or. There is room for both, especially when the season gets shortened with 20 teams playing each other once. It has been neglected but it's a selling point AFL doesn't have, the stronger the international game the stronger the game

Start doing juniors by weight and you'll have more Aussie kids participating.

QUESTION FOR THE PODDY! Drive to Survive really blew F1 up, way more people took notice of the sport and it blew up the profile of the athletes. Since than many other sports have follwed suit PGA with Full Swing, NFL with receivers/QB's, NBA with starting 5, and many more. I really think its a great way to get more eyes and gain fans of a sport. Instead of directly promoting the sport it focuses on the personalities that make up the sport, showing as talented as they are, at the core they're all human beings like us who just work really hard and also struggle with the same things as us in life. In turn it makes us fall in love with the players and then fall in love with the sport. If both of you were the GM/CEO of the NRL or a Club how would you guys want a netflix show highligting the NRL. Would you focus on a position for example Halves, or would you base it on the journey of a team, or the entire league? With social media and explosion of podcast and players now having more of a voice for themselves than ever I think its the perfect time for something like this!

Re Origin vs Intl. I can’t see a way to fix this issue. Unless we change the eligibility and consider all nations 1st tier like Samoa and Tonga. Rugby Union made the tough decision years ago to build the international game and now they are able to relax it. I don’t see a world where Tonga vs Samoa and/or England vs Nz and prob throw PNG into the mix, at the same time as origin to fix this and have the players make the decision who to play for. I see a massive cash injection into international game. Let’s be real, the clubs will be off it and it would need to be a three week break. Maybe Vegas is an option I don’t know but unless a tough decision is made soon I fear for the international scene. The game is pumping right now and may have to upset some people to move forward.

Benji gets that 6 jumper all day everyday. Won a four nations and a World Cup.. end of. Foran for Manly was a gun, but for the Kiwis he was good but didn't dominate like Benji did. Benji 6, Jones 7 and Johnson at 14. Matai and Kenny-Dowall a good shout in the centres.
