I rebuilt a kids chinese copy of a KX60 dirt bike for under $200. Bike $50, Brand new 50cc motor $80, Throttle cable & grips $20, New chain $25 Air filter $6. Total $181 Cheap build but runs great! This video is not for kids, but is for adults wanting to restore a kids bike for less than $200.

Been riding for a couple years.. I have a street triple rs.. clutch was slipping in 5th gear, every time I went to 8k rpm, it would jump to red line but not increase speed.. I’d shift to 6th, the clutch would engage and the speed would rise until red line.. and even at the top speed it would slip.. revs going all over the place, speed struggle to get to the top (135mph to 150mph) (I know I shouldn’t but it was for science) I was scared the clutch was dead, or I needed heavier springs inside the clutch, or something really sinister.. I checked my clutch lever, and there was literally no free play.. the adjuster at the lever was fully out.. I put it fully in, which gives about 4mm of play.. now the clutch never slips, the rpms remain smooth and steady predictable rise.. 5th gear fully engages and is useable at the top end now.. couldn’t be happier.. Really felt like a noob after this journey this afternoon..
Man I had a slipping clutch on my ninja 400 adjusted the lever and the slipping stopped but my bike feels like its running at 90 percent power idk if an oil change is needed
@@theunluckycharm9637 ok so long term review.. the clutch was dead after just twenty minutes of trying to do wheelies (badly) So it had definitely got worn.. I had to replace the entire clutch basket, cost me £750.. Not sure what the takeaways are from this.. there was 20,000 miles on that clutch and plates.. and I killed whatever final life was in it very quickly by being dumb.. the lever adjustment might give you a little time, but by then, it’s pretty much gone..
I also blame the last service engineer, who out semi synthetic oil in, this added to the gunk up in the clutch box.. if it says fully synthetic, use fully synthetic..

Let’s talk about Weston running third though that man was awesome I bumped in to him in Seattle one time he’s a humble great dude. His crash in Paris is probably the saddest thing to ever happen in supercross
