All new bearings and 2mm oversize piston kit. I had one of these when I was a lot younger but it never went like this .

A short time laps of something we were working in today
Just come across this after reading online about 2017+ gsxr 1000 having a potential issue with snapped crankshafts when used high up in revs like on track hopefully not a common issue as im looking at buying one
did you buy one?😄
Beautiful work guys🍻 bet she’s a ripper!✌️
Beast, that would be fun to ride.
love from australia wish i lived near you guys for amazing motorbike expertise.
Dear Jhs, Mind giving some advice on what spring rates front and rear in your opinion is suitable for a 70kg intermediate rider doing mostly twisties and the occasional track day. Thank you.
I wish we had someone like yourself where I live. Guessing your in UK. The land that knows what good bikes are. Here where I live everyone likes Harley Davidson. My pops included. He definitely drinks the kool-aid
What year and is this a known issue on this generation?
This is very rare and normally found in crashed bikes.
@@jhsracingltd4924 appreciate the heads up. I just bought a 2018 gsxr 1000R two months ago. I had a perfectly running 2005 gsxr 1000 I sold and helped pay for my new gsxr. I read some forums about a couple modern gsxr 1000 having snapped crankshafts. Kind of maid me worried after having spent so much money on my new bike. Good to know it's a rare case. I had very good luck with all of my prior gsxr over the past 25 years. My 05 gsxr 1000 being absolutely bulletproof. I had almost 60k on it when I sold it. The only thing that ever happened to my 05 in 15 years was a bad water pump and a few batteries of course. I maintain all my vehicles very well. Hope this gen is as robust as the old. Take care and have fantastic weekend
@@mike216ism your gsxr still living?
@@wheeliesforthefeelies3995 yes it is. I sold my 05 gsxr 1000 last year and bought a 2018 gsxr 1000R. Absolutely love them both
hi JHS, which cartridge kit did you use as i cannot find the one featured in the video, thanks.
Hi sir, he said Andreani cartridge: it's Italian and very expensive.
@@solino2002andrea The question still stands. The only product on the Andreani website for the 3rd generation SV650 is an Öhlins rear shock damper/spring. No fork cartridges. Was a generation 2 kit used?
180 rear tyre? Isn't that risky?
It is, very shameful
Does the 180 mount on the original rim?
Is this available and would it improve the V-Strom as well?
film in landscape
What would happen if you tried to machine that?
You'd lose the tolerance required for it to fit perfectly in the engine. It would likely just wiggle free from the bearing and cause even more wear and damage
How much were the shock upgrades fitted?
robdos2000 if you email the office at enquiries@jhsracing.co.uk we should be able to provide you with a quotation. Thanks
What would the price be for one of those?! I live in NL so I'm not a direct customer but I do own an MT07. Thanks James! ✌️
Dave Mulderij if you email the office at enquiries@jhsracing.co.uk
@@jhsracingltd4924 I'll give that a go. Thanks
I love it.
