🇱🇺 Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 - My Top 7
Here we have my top 7 of Luxembourg Song Contest 2025, Luxembourg's national selection for Eurovision 2025. This is a high quality national selection that builds off of and improves upon what they created last year, just with one less song for whatever reason. Though this selection is much better than last year's, part of it I imagine being from the fact that seemingly most of the artists are listed as writers of the songs that they're singing, unlike last year where that was only the case with one or two songs if I recall correctly.
Outro song: Sigga Ózk - "Um Allan Alheiminn"

🇱🇻 Supernova 2025 - My Top 20
Переглядів 79День тому
Here is my top 20 ranking of Latvia's national final for Eurovision 2025. This has to be Latvia's highest quality national final ever! Unlike the previous few editions where there were only one or two obvious winners, I can see about half of these songs in realistically winning. This is also evident by the fact that LTV selected 20 entries for this show, when there were usually between 14 and 1...
This is literally my top 7
What do you think about this selection? Who is your favorite? Feel free to let me know! Here on my comments on each entry: 7. Rhythmic Soulwave - "Stronger": The only reason that this is last is that it is not my type of music; not something I usually go out of my way to listen to. This song is not bad and it also stands out quite a bit from the other songs competing. 6. One Last Time - "Gambler's Song": Don't let me placing this song sixth mislead you. I do in fact like this song. My problem lies within the seemingly strange lyrics. I had ChatGPT interpret the meaning of the lyrics for me so I could get a second viewpoint, it helped a little bit but I feel like the message could've been conveyed with less-strange lyrics. Maybe it would be placed higher in my ranking if I didn't speak English, idk. The points knocked down from that aside, it is a basic, yet addicting track. 5. Mäna - "Human Eyes": On the first listen, I didn't really care for this song that much. Though, this one has grown on me with each listen. It is a very pleasant song to listen to. It is a pop song at its core, but the instrumentation is unique and interesting. I was reminded a bit of Tusse's "Voices" (Sweeden 2021) at some points throughout the song. Something that I can see myself occasionally going out of my way to listen to in the future. 4. Luzac - "Je Danse": I like this one quite a bit and I wish I could rank it higher. The instrumentation is interesting, switching abruptly between piano and electronic sections. The lyrics are catchy and are constantly stuck in my head. The song being in French is a nice switch-up from all of the others except one being in English. This song is definitely a contender to win if with good vocals and staging. 3. Zero Point Five - "Ride": This has to be the most underrated song in the selection. I'm not sure if I like this song so much because it is simply good, or if it is because I'm American and listened to many similar sounding songs growing up. It honestly would not feel too out of place at a 4th of July party 😅. I usually don't really care for country music at all, but I have streamed this one quite a bit. It is very rare that we hear a country song in Eurovision or even in a national selection, the last one that I can remember is Jay Smith's "Back to my Roots" in Melodifestivalen last year. This is definitely not winning the selection but it has already won a place in my playlist. 2. Laura Thorn - "La poupée mont le son": I love how dramatic and theatrical the song is, last time we had something on this level in Eurovision was probably Mimicat's "Ai Coração" (Portugal 2023). And this even beats that by a lot! This would definitely stand out at Eurovision and I imagine would score on the left side of the scoreboard. There is no question that this will most likely be the winner. 1. Rafa Ela - "No Thank You": Here we are at my favorite of this selection. This is the one I've streamed the most out of all of them, and the one I will most likely continue to go out of my way to listen to. this song is very catchy, well produced, and it will occasionally will be stuck in my head. I can see this one winning with the perfect vocals, staging, and choreography.
great video, keep going on! w top 3 in my opinion

Oh god, the Eurovision 2025 season has just begun and this video is already outdated 😭 The updated 2000 - 2025 video will be the first one out on this channel after the grand final of the contest.
i say wait until the end of the season bc you put 2024 and clickbait is technically part of 2025

Omg, I'm also like Bosnia 2016. This is their BEST entry from 2016 to 2024
ONLY 3 POINTS FOR ITALY 2018 IS CRAZYYYYYYYY ITS MY FAV EUROVISION SONG OF ALL TIME 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I agree with Bend 9 being the least favourite. Really nice video, you earned yourself a Subscriber!
I feel like the only person on earth who thinks every single one of the ballads sent this year suck except Nina and Tamara, and even then theyre just okay. Like dead serious Id rather Bend 9 or NeonoeN over one of the 8 ballads that all sound exactly the same.
Montesong 2024 - Top 16 1.Nina Žižić - "Dobrodošli" 2.Tamara Živković - "Poguban let" 3.Anastasija Koprolčec - "Kraj" 4.Baryak - "Dva srca" 5.Đurđa - "To ljubav je" 6.Kejt - "Obala raja" 7.Verica Čuljković - "Čuješ li" 8.Isak Šabanović - "Ljeto, ljeto, ljeto" 9.Nemanja Petrović - "Među zvijezdama" 10.Tina Džankić - "Nova" 11.Milena Vučić - "Škorpija" 12.Dolce Hera - "Repeat" 13.Luka Radović - "Kada dođe maj" 14.Glumci Band - "San" 15.Bend 9 - "Stop War" 16.Neonoen - "Clickbait"
Here are my notes on each song. These should give some idea or justification on why I ranked a song where I did. I would've put these in the description but I did not have enough room in there and comments strangely also have a longer character limit too. Feel free to let me know your opinions on these songs, favorite, overrated, underrated, predicted winner etc. Enjoy! 16: - Sampling a train horn was certainly a choice. - Song feels flat, not much progression. 15: - Lyrics that are simultaneously interesting and strange. - The occasional words in English are throwing me off a bit. - I have not heard someone use the word 'Clickbait' unironically since 2016. 14: - Kind of catchy? - It has a unique structure that unfortunately gets old quickly. 13: - Standard Balkan ballad, nothing crazy but nothing wrong with it either. - I like the sound of the instrumental, it reminds me of "Karma" (Albania 2021) a bit in some parts - He seemingly has an amazing voice. 12: - Out of all of the rock songs in this selection, this one has the most unique sound. - The voices of the different band members blend together well. - The bridge/spoken word part(?) does not feel out of place and adds something new that the other songs in the selection don't have. 11: - Again with the random words in English throwing me off a bit. - Chorus is catchy. It has been stuck in my head for the last couple days. - The saxophone adds something fresh to the song in this selection, but the saxophone solo part should be redone if selected for Eurovision. 10: - Strong opening to the song, also the transition from the violin to the piano doesn't feel unnatural or out of place. - She has a strong, powerful vocal. The backing is welcome and adds a nice sense of depth, but is not necessary. - Decent, well produced Balkan ballad. 9: - Background track is similar to "Stop War" but with much better execution and without that annoying train horn. - The voices of each band member don't feel out of place for this song. - Decent, contemporary rock song. But the staging will make or break this entry's chances of winning, which if it did I unfortunately think it would not qualify. 8: - Quite the opening. - It has a catchy chorus, also has randomly popped in my head over the last few days. - Gives off Balkan dad energy - I can see this as a contender to win, which I wouldn't mind. This could potentially be a borderline qualifier, placing anywhere from 9th to 14th in the semifinal. 7: - Interesting combination of Rock n' Roll and electronic music. - Catchy chorus. - I like this song more each time I listen to it. - I see this one as a potential winner or at least winner of the televote as it is the most viewed on UA-cam. Could be a borderline qualifier if drawn to the less competitive semifinal. 6: - Reminds me of both Growing up is getting old (Bulgaria 2021) and Oro (Serbia 2008). Feels like a combination of both really. - Very atmospheric song. - Seemingly good vocal. - I can see this as a winner. In Eurovision it could either qualify and place in the top 20 in the final, or not qualify and place from 11th to 13th in the semifinal. 5: - Very atmospheric song, perfect instrumental, the combination of piano, violin, steel pan, and electric guitar work amazingly together with her voice. - The staging and vocal would have to be perfect for this to be able to win. Unfortunately I think it could pull a No se me olvida and not score well otherwise. - I can see this placing anywhere from 24th to 14th in the final at Eurovision otherwise. 4: - Interesting combination of modern/contemporary and vintage musical themes. - Definitely my biggest guilty pleasure out of all of these songs. - Reminds me a lot of Čaroban (Serbia 2011). - Very catchy song, the only one out of these I could see myself dancing to. - Unfortunately I don't see this as a contender to win the national selection. 3: - Very atmospheric as well. Beautiful instrumental. - Very different from her 2013 Eurovision entry, and much better than that in my opinion. - Not sure why, but this song remind me of The Code (Switzerland 2024) in some ways. - Can see this winning the selection and becoming the country's highest place in the contest, but it would only score one or two places above the previous record of 13th. 2: - Stands out from the rest of the songs, being more of a pop entry than a Balkan ballad or a rock song. - I get a nostalgic vibe from this one, coming from the violin solo parts I think. - I know I'm not the only one that likes this song, but I unfortunately don't see it winning the national final. - English part doesn't feel out of place here. 1: - I love the way the song gradually builds up unlike some of the others. - Way more of a nostalgic vibe/feeling from this song, mostly coming from the use of the synth(?) i think. - I can see this pulling a Baby Lasagna and winning the selection, but would probably be a borderline qualifier in Eurovision. - She has a great, powerful vocal that would make or break if this song wins the selection.

CORRECTION: For North Macedonia, 2022 should show 7 points and 2018 should show 6 points. This does not affect the calculations at the end of the video, as the calculations were done with the help of my spreadsheet, which had all of the points distributed correctly. Simply was a typo from while I was making the video. Let me know if there seem to be any other mistakes!
