Not living in Cornwall any more but i do now where you can find gold in a stream around the port Isaac area i bet you know where !! .Rumer had it that the vain ran out in the cliff spent a few low tide and long board paddle expeditions along that stretch looking for the quarts seam never found it LOL.. The land owners tried repeatedly to get open mining rights (The powers that be said NO) to get to the seam up in the valley where gold was mined a long time back by tunneling a very large nugget came from that seam .I did know of a chap that got enough gold over several years panning in the stream down from that particular mine to make a ring LOL. I wont reveal its location on here but research on the net will find it .

Please don't take this the wrong way but do you make sure that you aren't destroying fish spawning sites? I have no idea whether the locations you go to have any fish in them but dredging up the gravel from a river bed could kill lots of different wildlife.

Each time you dig up dirt, you should be testing with the detector, or wand if the targets been hit or not. You appear to be doing it the opposite way🤷🏽‍♀️🤣🇬🇧

I think youve run your battery down to zero by pinpointing to no end , pin piont once thrn dig the darn target. Also you should always run your detector over your screen , you might save hrs of useless digging ,cause sometimes there are more than one target. Cheers.

There’s gold on the river dart on Dartmoor near finagle bridge but I don’t think you can mine there anymore. Look for black sand

If you extend your sluice and change the angle so there's less flow you will increase your chances of catching more and get some minors moss.... ( big gold rush fan) lol
