If I tell Bobo, "cium, peluk" (kiss and hug) in Indonesian Bahasa (language), he'll give me little pecks on the cheek. Here he's also giving me another bonus of "preening" or grooming my "feathers" and fixing my "nest" of hair. LOL

It is very hot outside in the morning here in West Java, Indonesia. We're right on the equator and the sun is extremely bright in the morning. Bobo was apparently too hot and decided to get in his water bowl for a little dip in the "pool". He is preening his feathers and doing a "rouse" (shaking his feathers out for grooming).

Been a fan of the cars since the mid 80’s. Therefore I have discovered some of their stuff that came earlier than that time in the last several years like “ The Dangerous Type” and “ A Dream Away”. I love both of these songs. The rythym beats of this song are awesome. First the percussion , then the bass cutting in. A great start to a great song. I saw The Cars live in the same year as this concert. That makes those cute young blondes in the front row “twerking” to the beat in their mid 60’s by now. Yet here I am in the same age group listening to this music in 2024, and still loving it. That makes this group and their music timeless. It also assures that they will always be great. RIP to BEN ORR and RIC O’ CASEK. Also RIP to my good friend GINO who turned me on to THE CARS 40 some years ago. He lost his courageous battle with Parkinson’s in 2019. The world is less interesting without him in it now.

Although Ric wrote all The Cars' songs, lead vocals were given to Benjamin Orr on many songs from their entire catalog; Let's Go, Drive, Just What I Needed, Candy-O, Moving in Stereo, Cruiser, It's Not The Night, Double Trouble Coming Up You to name a few. When Ben took the lead vocal, Ric did not harmonize with or on top of Ben's vocals, there was no need to and you'll see as in this video that Ric just kicks back and focuses on his rhythm guitar parts while Ben sings. The harmonizing was done in the reverse when Ric was on lead vocal and Ben would often harmonize with him on some verses. There was some great harmonizing between Ric and Ben in Milkwood, and you can hear a great example of it on the Buddy Holly song they covered together "Everyday".
