Fr deer jerkey is the best snack for hunting
@@HagenSmith-w7u it really is. I try to always make a batch right before deer season each year so I can have a good snack, especially when I do some of those all days sits. Thanks for watching!
@@bcoutdoorsmedia yeah wr just made a whole bunch of jerkey
@ nice! That mean you had a successful harvest! Congrats!
@bcoutdoorsmedia thanks I've harvested 5
@ heck yea!! Get it!!
These have the same stock as the RS22 but with an added cutout for the bolt handle. I have the RS22, and I fixed a bipod to the front of mine for target shooting. These use the same magazine as well, but I also purchased a 25 round magazine for a Mossberg Plinkster which is the original, offered for about 30 years or longer. Those magazines work great in both the RB and RS, and Rossi also offers the RB with this magazine as well. Great fun can be had with these lightweight rifles.
@@AraceaeFanatics will have to look into that 25 rd magazine. I wouldn’t mind having a couple of those. I used one of these yesterday to take a squirrel. It was light to carry and did everything I needed. Sweet little rifles for sure! Thanks for watching

@@milkman2591 I did make roadkill jerky once but I just ate it wherever. Lol. 4point got hit in the highway near my house and game warden gave me a disposal tag for it so I turned him into jerky
Check out sharps brothers pistol grips for it. I have one in 6.5 creedmore and my son shot his first deer with it last weekend. Gonna pick up one in Grendel too. Wondering what is different between v2 and the v3?
@@kevinkiser9553 I will check em out for sure. I’m not sure the difference won’t he two but I know I sure love this Grendel. It’s so heavy it has basically no recoil. I tried to take a deer with it this season but never saw a shooter buck on my days off to get it done unfortunately. @@bcoutdoorsmediayes the pliers its to rusted and im stuck on that part
@@stkdrum1978 there’s is suppose to be a special tool. I would try an adjustable wrench on it if possible and if it’s rusted spray some liquid wrench on it and leave it a while or a day even and try again. Liquid wrench was one of the better penetrators in a test I saw online once in comparison to a lot of others
That view is incredable, it looks like a place where hobbits would live haha..nice video, a foam cover over the mikes help with the wind noise:)

What choke is in in it at this point?
@@billmuhs6448 I actually had a full. I remeber correctly I thought it was the modified but I was shooting with full I do believe.
The BX rocks. Highly reccomend takibg one apart and putting it together again. Used some UGLY TRASHY ammo and it locked yhe mag up. I do not hold the mag responsable. Rounds were norma eco speed. never again
@@Warlock-ke2sw yea I love it. Can’t hunt with it legally as it holds too many round so I don’t use it very often but I will definitely keep in mind keeping it clean and learning to take it apart. It is awesome though! Thanks for watching!
I hunt a weird property. Some of my spots are transitions on steep slope with no more than 50 yard possible shots, the other are various fields ranging from 50-175 yards. Would it be worth loading up 120 grain PSP for the woods and TGK for the fields? My worries are that the tipped would be too explosive at short ranges. If they’re generally the same retention then I’ll just stick with one or the other.
@@Killafisch69 I think there retention is most likely identical and at those ranges either bullet will serve you very well so I would keep it simple and go with one or the other. Both are cup and core bullets so expansion should be reasonably the same
My motor is super loud
@@Unknownlondonrider hmmm definitely don’t think it should be. Both of the ones we have are really quiet
Thnx.I'll try cleaning on my same 06. I bought it used. Do far no issues in ejection but haven't checked the brass..which I should have. Good info video .
@@wonderguyalive thanks for watching. Hope it work for you. Did a little google search and from what I can tell they are very few differences beside the move the gas port on the 750 for faster cycling.
Is this the same as a model 750? Cannot find any videos on a 750 plenty on a 7400 740
@@irishhazy3412 I assume they are similar but may save some differences. I know the 750 was the replacement for these older models but I don’t think they made em too many years before the whole bankruptcy and what not. I think you will find many similarities between them or maybe the 750 has some slight upgrades.
@ thanks for the reply! Luckily found a guy with a 742 and his mag fits the 750, looks like not much changed except the stock and the type of metal they used . Unfortunately both my 750 and his 742 are constantly jamming (skipping over the round to be picked up) or not closing the bolt to full lock … such a beautiful gun but I can’t trust it
@ I’d say a real good cleaning and oiling and you may be back in business. Wish you the best of luck!
Have you tried polypropylene liners in addition to your wool socks?
@@tatoo190 I have not tried those liners. However I did just buy two sets of liners for like $2 a set at Walmart that I found that are shiny on one side as to reflect heat and they are probably 3/8 inch thick and appear to be made of a wool Like material. We are having a very abnormally warm November right now so when I have worn them I can’t really say to if they are actually working or not in cold weather. I don’t know exactly what the polypropylene ones are so I will do some google research
@@tatoo190 so I just google and are ya talking about the ones that are like full boot liner. They look warm as heck if so.
@ the ones I’ve used are really thin & meant to wick moisture from your skin

Thinking about using the 6.5 grendel this year. Im kinda a little weary about it. I ordered the hornady SST in 123 grain. Gonna see.
Does it come with a scope base?
@@tracehamilton6948 it does not unfortunately and from what I could tell is traditions has their own specific base. They usually carry them are my Walmart but they were sold out when I bought the gun so I had to order mine from Amazon or Walmart.com can’t remember which. Was like $16-$18 I think
I couldn't find them on Amazon or Walmart. Had to online order it from bass pros for $10

@@bcoutdoorsmedia yeah hopefully, I went ahead and ordered some round balls and patches to mess around with at the range as well. Gonna hunt with sabot's but just excited to get it out and use it
@@lyontamer5464 absolutely. I have some cheap cast 44 bullets that I shoot for cheap too when I don’t wanna shoot all my sabots. Good luck with it!
My son just took his 1st muzzleloader buck with one , for the $$ i can't find a reason to dislike it
Same great all around I feel like and cheap. I like it much better than the optima I had. Thanks for watching!!
i think they catch on to the smell. i had a doe blow on me about an hour after getting into the stand. i couldnt see her thru the woods but she must have smelt the nose jammer from the last time i used it. i shot a nice 9pt. this guy came within 10 yards of my stand. now when i use the nose jammer. they seem spooked. could be other things going on in the area, but now when i dont use it, they show and stick around.
@@timbrowe that interesting. May be one of those things that they get wise and associate it with human scent once they have smelled it a few times. Deer are smarter than we give em credit sometimes.
I hope they come out with the 6.5 Grendel and a full-length rifle
Yes agreed. That would be great!!
Polish your shell cases will help also .
Yes that does. Help. I polish mine quite often as a reloader
I have one without the red dot
Awesome! I like this one without the red dot if I’m being honest but I wanted to try to take a deer with a few years ago and never did but the dot stuck for now anyhow. I love this gun though
Ozonic is better.
@@Xng88 I don’t disagree but way more expensive. Not everyone can afford ozonics up front but can afford $15 once. Year most likely. I recently bought a zero trace and have been sampling it but haven’t really had a wind to put it to the test yet
@bcoutdoorsmedia yes understandable but it's base on preference.
@@Xng88I can’t afford the Ozonic. A buddy gave me a can of nose jammer, found this video while researching if it works. And it’s not based on results. If free spray works half the time for free, I’d rather have that than a 250.00 device that works a little better than half the time.
@@bcoutdoorsmedia it's all good.
Really liking my RB22. Was a good plinker at 40 yrds but had to put a 3x9 scope out to 75yds with my aging eyes.
@@GluteusMax777 ours is a cheap 3x9 so I’d say it will be about the same. I may upgrade them to something better in the future maybe. For now though it will do for the kids to shoot at squirrels and frogs I hope. I really enjoy the little rifles though! Thanks for watching our video!

Nice shotgun ! I have a BPS Ducks Unlimited special edition 20 gauge , great quality shotguns, that will outlast you and your grandchildren and their grandchildren too . I have owned many many shotguns throughout my lifetime and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM ( pump / slide actions ) all rattled, I don’t care if it’s a Remington or Mossberg or Ithaca or Browning, they ALL rattled, some more some less . It’s just the nature of the mechanics involved in a “ slide action “ ( pump ) the action bars that carry the bolt group slide along the recesses within the receiver to cycle the action and there has to be relatively loose movement for it to effectively and freely move without binding . It’s gonna rattle ! End of story !
