Paul "Fat Daddy" Johnson

The greatest DJ ever! From WSID radio in Baltimore in the early 60's the Fat Daddy would wail and play the latest tunes. He was amazing... Please if anyone has more of the Fat Daddy, please post it.
Bo Diddley Bodiddleyitis very rare in concert
Переглядів 76 тис.16 років тому
A lot of people thought that Bo could only make songs like this in the studio with editing, but here he proves that he can do it in person. Note the close of shot of him playing chords below the bridge of the guitar. Also, note the groove that he gets going before the bands starts playing.
Bo interview in 1978 interesting to Bo fans.

I'm sorry that this interview is not complete, but it's all that I have and I hope that Bo's fans will find it interesting.
Leslie West live killer guitar in a nightclub
Переглядів 78 тис.16 років тому
Leslie West playing in a Wash. DC nightclub. He arrived at the club with no guitar. It was stolen at the airport. Fortunately, my brother had his guitar in our car, so Leslie used it. You can see where he earned the name "Mountain" in this video.
Bo Diddley for real hard core fans only!

Real poor quality video of Bo in 1978 in Wash DC. Hard core Bo fans might find it interesting, but casual fans will probably not enjoy it because of the low quality. I posted it because it is the only copy of this concert and better than nothing.
Bo Diddley never seen before footage pt. 4
Переглядів 40 тис.16 років тому
The final song of this show starts off with Bo missing all the strings on a strum! He plays the guitar, sings, plays the drums and dances.
Bo Diddley never before seen live video...

Bo kind of made this tune out of nothing. He was in a playful mood and just started playing this and the longer it goes on the better it gets. Unedited
BO DIDDLEY never before seen footage!! Diddley Daddy

I shot this footage of Bo doing Diddley Daddy in a small club. This is a different version that you've ever heard before. It is live, raw and unedited. Check out the guitar playing about 3:20 in. Bo was in a good mood and just playing around.
Bo Diddley- Greasy and combs easy!

A little of Bo's humor between tunes.

She is over the guys right shoulder in the scene showing him talking to everyone and then in a closeup on the right.
BO DIDDLEY "NURSERY RHYME"
Переглядів 68 тис.16 років тому
Bo had a way of turning a simple nursery rhyme into a rockin' song. I think his guitar work on this song is amazing. This was recorded about 1956.
BO DIDDLEY playing "AZTEC"

This is for all the people who think that all Bo Diddley songs sound the same. I think it shows his versatility as a guitar player. Bo was a close friend and gave me permission to post this and other songs long ago.
Bo Diddley "When the Saints Go Marchin' In"
Переглядів 127 тис.16 років тому
Bo starts off this classic tune kind of normal as as the song progresses, Bo adds more and more of his unique guitar style to it.

Bo Diddley backstage & onstage! Bodiddleyitis!
i could only wonder what caught bo and the audience's attention at 1:40!
Bo was one of my favorite live performances I have witnessed in my life. Just a side of the road night club named the Mohawk Club in Shirley MA. I was hoping the roof didn't come crashing down from the commotion going on! Way good time!
A true guitar hero🎸a real rocker
He didn't make the "tune out of nothing". It is "Crackin' up".
The Rolling Stones did a version of this song in 1963
This is my favorite video on youtube.
❤ A ROCK Hercege BO DIDDLEY!✌
This was nine minutes of my life that I enjoy listening to Mr Diddley on guitar.I wish I was there.
Much credit to the band here! Keeping the focus on Bo while still showing chops.
He is superb.

Our Baltimore Soul R&B broadcasting am radio DJ Legend in the late 50s and early 60s.
Dude had the most one dimensional playing I've ever heard. Thank God guitar playing has come a long ways from this.
Thanks for sharing.
This is amazing, thank you for recording and posting. Bo was a gem.
One of the greatest to do it man
am i the only one who hears a lot of this guy in some of pageys riffs?
The soundboard guy changed settings at 1:15 from good to bad. Too bad! But, even bad sound cannot kill good music.
With out a doubt the greatest guitar player in the world , had the pleasure to watch Bo live in Melbourne Australia a long time ago unforgettable
That is so cool
Bo is certainly one of a kind. Love it!
If blues and metal and rockabilly had a baby.
thanks for posting this. it's bloody fantastic!
gorgius
Funky Bo
That was the best.
A real musical magician
I saw this guy right about the time this footage was probably taken. I've never seen anyone mesmerize the crowd like this guy did. I've never heard a better guitar player.
Bo was a friend of mine in G'ville. FL. An amazing artist as this jam shows. I saw him take command of stages several times. "Walks like Bo Diddley and don't need no crutch" Bob Dylan
Rock n roll Bo. Rock it on Bo diddley and Chuck berry.
Sorry for the delayed response. I stumbled across this tonight, 15 years later. This really stands up to the test of time. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Wow just listen to master didley do his thing to say one of the greatest is such a understatement wow brother thank you for this ,youve made today tottaly kick ass thank you for sharing this beautiful performance
Oh my 🤩
❤️

I know I shouldn't but... Bo must have let a little of Jimi Hendrix in?
That is the biggest load of shit
A true genius, no more needs to be said.
Wish more people could see him play like thid
One of the Great Creators Of Rock& Roll Guitar Sound!
Mid 80s. We stumbled Into a bar in Chicago. Sat down ordered beers , sitting next to me was Bo. Had a few the he took the stage. 50-60 people in this dive bar , at the most. Probably one of my finer RnR memories
Anything you ask of them, they will do.
Comfort lies in the hands. They can speak volumes.
What a absolute L E G E N D 🤩
These types of videos are a part of musical history. The great Bo.
❤ ❤ ❤
Outstanding
Ok this song is the Rolling Stones cover of Just My Imagination by the Temptations. I don't know who wrote Just my Imagination but it sounds exactly like the Stones cover. The Stones were pretty big Bo fans as well as Temptations fans they might have heard this but whoever wrote Just My Imagination had to have heard this song unless Bo Diddley wrote and later gave this song a title
Priceless!
