@@jmwilliams88 I always find the recommended ways to combine the Hogwarts castle systems are less than ideal… especially with the tasks from the philosophers stone and the girls bathroom from the chamber of secrets… those literally have to be in a specific order, haha! I also change them around with other sets incorporated to be more accurate!

@@JJOSamsung thanks for that detail, I didn’t know that! I dragged my feet in the set for a long time and finally pulled the trigger a month before retirement!

@@JJMLY They also describe the Model on the sticker as a GWR 5900, rather than 4900 which is what it should be. If you want a replacement you can contact customer service and send them a quick pic to show you've got the old version of the sticker... they came out with a new version soon after it was released but obviously there are still loads of the mistake copies out there. They will send you another complete sticker sheet for the set... which really is not a bad thing to have regardless of the mistakes! Might want to do that before it retires though, since they will stop printing them at that point.

@@PACasey I will display the ticket with the train becuase I bought a display case that has a place for the ticket… the coins are on top of my bank - but I like the idea of moving them to the icons set!! Might do that now, haha

@@MikeSmith-sz8my it was a fun build and I am excited to display it in a case. This is the first set I sought out a specific case for and will display in the non-Lego portion of my house 🤣

@@mausje1968 so true - especially since it’s unlikely we’d get them anywhere else. Even another HP Minifigure series would be a stretch for ALL of them!

@@marissarice3666 as Lego continues to make bigger, more expensive sets with complex building techniques with see these geared toward older audiences. The 2020 Diagon Alley is marketed as a 16+ set. While the newer version has less pieces and an open back an is marketed as an 8+ set. They can all be displayed and played with, however the the display sets often have fully completed roofs, etc for display on a shelf, while the design of smaller playable sets will prioritize play features and such.

@@holliewoods181 I agree many of the prints and pieces that now exists post 2020 version are really great - I’ve been thinking of buying extra online to scatter into my 2020 set!

@@cowsonzambonis6 since we got Gringotts AFTER the Weasley Wizards remake … I think there is still hope we get a Leaky Cauldron / Knockturn in the scale of the 2020 Diagon Alley … at least I hope so!!!

@@dorothywong2362 I totally agree - the smaller details seem to have been forgotten, which is weird because all it would take is an extra 15-20 pieces of fun Easter egg type things scattered around

@@dorothywong2362 for the newer ones I just put the repeats in Hogsmeade since they are the same scale (and add some “snow”) to the roofs. I know it’s not accurate, but o need more buildings in the village haha!

@@JJMLY It would go well with the set that does have snow. All of the shows do show them in winter months because of how the school year works, so I don't see it as being "not accurate" (just my take)

@@dorothywong2362 I love that they make lots of sets, but it also make is massively difficult to collect with how fast they are released and retired - very much a double edged sword

@@JJMLY Agree somewhat with how quickly they release and retire, with the option of picking up a set in a different configuration... but if you miss the set that you really love at the time... do you wait and see if the new set is better? LOL... that for sure is the double edged sword. lol

@@LegoCastleAndAdventurersFan it’s funny how sometimes our tastes are impacted by the order we see things! I do prefer the 2019 version, but there are many sets where I prefer the original (like the chamber of secrets !!)

@OJODO to be fair for the 2019 version, it may just be for her to sleep in the bed, which I realized after filming the video that the top half of the carriage (when opened) was 2 beds… BUT Fleur’s panicked face would match the second task sooo maybe it was for both reasons haha

@@JJMLYI think you’re on to something though! I’ve always felt like we missed out by not having them in the black lake set, but I never put two and two together that we’ve had the ability to include them since this set was released

@@sonygod5418 it’s so hard to say. I think it sells well (often backordered) and the 2018 castle is still available, But with the new playscale and now micro scale versions idk. If the 2025 collectors’ set is a Leaky Caldron or expansion, I can see it lasting a bit longer … otherwise I can see it retiring with Gringotts following a year later.

@@skycolinregan that was a rumor for a while and it kind of got squashed with the new 2025 knight bus … but in theory they could release 2 this year so who knows!
