This style of music was very popular in the UK and parts of Europe [ Holland ] between 1960 and 1962, it was known as Traditional or "TRAD" jazz. Great music and brilliant to watch the reactions of all ages.

Tuba skinny is fundamentally different from other current bands. They’re not recreating something from the past. They’re an embodiment of the music. The way they swing, the big ears, the loose, throw away lines, tuba skinny is not a reenactment band. Tuba Skinny is essentially another of the period bands time warped to today

Each band member seems to know exactly what they came to do, and they do it well. They also have the look of very nice, down- home good people. And the singer makes the stories of the songs come alive. Excellent presentation. Keep up the good work. pd

Night slowly falls on New Orleans. The lights switch on silently and mosquitoes 'dance' en masse on vibrating beams of light. Here and there a window is closed, a door opened and... the old jazz slowly comes back to life as the nighttime passes. The past never left, we just couldn't find it. Everyone greets each other, smiles or a fleeting kiss on a warm cheek and although everything has changed, nothing has actually changed. The old music, blues, Dixieland, is still the same. There they sit, on simple chairs in the late heat of the night. Sometimes when a text touches me, I cry. Sometimes when I feel lonely, Erika puts an arm around me with her voice. And Shaye ... If she ever stands at the door and asks me to go with her, I take her hand, close the door behind me and go with her, tenderly smiling ...

Bringing my granddaughter to the big easy in oct. for her graduation present and will definitely try to find your band. First time for us both. VERY EXCITED

I’ve been following them for a few years. My daughter and I were driving north from Florida in April 2023 and took a detour to New Orleans to see Tuba Skinny. First time she heard them, she danced all evening.

I travel to French Quarter Festival every year, and the first thing I do is find where Tuba Skinny is playing. Truly brings joy to my heart. My all time favorite New Orleans band!
