Thank you! Turns out my side panels have to be bumped upward, but it's the same attachment style. Mine is a FAD504TDD. Every single panel on this thing requires some weird little trick to bend it almost to the point of breaking so it will clear an obstacle and come loose. Now I've got a pile of screws that I THOUGHT were all identical, but on closer inspection two are 1/8" longer than all the rest. Just because.
Thank you. I have a slightly older model I think (LAD704TDL) and the tabs face down. So, some folks should be careful in case your tabs might face the opposite direction.
Thank you, sir. I was fearing that I did not have a big enough hammer...

I have one that seems to have the humidity sensor out of adjustment. Hygrometer reads 65% humidity, but the dehumidifier is reading 45%. It draws water in continuous mode, but if I set the dehumidifier to 60% it ends up not pulling water. Can you tell me what the problem is?
*We liked it **Fastly.Cool** so much in the basement, we bought a second one for the main level. The amount of moisture it pulls out of the air is astonishing.*
I wish they would have made the fan cover easier to take off, since the slats face up and don't exactly stop objects from falling in there. This video helped a lot. Thanks!
Very helpful, thank you so much. I got as far as removing the side panels, but ran into your "three clip" problem. Didn't want to force it, it wasn't obvious, but your video solves the problem.
Thank you! You've saved my sanity! Now I just need to figure out why the compressor pump seems to stay on even when the unit is turned off... (it gets super hot) Anyone have any ideas?
I have the same issue and found the solution. Only just got my unit opened so haven't tried it out yet. Search for "Frigidaire continually humming while off"
@@scott150 Oh yeah, I found some info on reddit and posted my solution there. Problem was a stuck relay, and when I tried to remove it it clicked off and has been good ever since. I got lucky I guess.
THANK YOU!!! You saved my bacon on those side panels-- didn't want to break plastic tabs, not knowing how they are oriented. That's how I found you here. You saved the day!
Thanks for the great video, as I was trying to get the front cover off to clean behind the removable filter. I do woodworking and when not being used. Wood dust had accumulated on the inside grill. So now I place a large black trash bag over unit when it's not being used. Thanks again.
OMG you are my hero as well. Had a heck of a time trying to figure out the side panels as well. Thank you for posting. Grandson stuck something down in there somewhere and I couldn't get it out until the whole cover was removed. Thanks again......
Thank you! I was about to break the side panel tabs when I found your video. How did you figure that out? I never would have. all fixed and reassembled now. Thanks again.
This was very helpful! Saved me from buying a new humidifier when the inside fins between the coils were blocked with dust and gunk. I couldn't figure out how to get that front panel off.
Assuming you're referring to the radiator, I used a toothbrush and swipe up and down. Swipe one direction and then clean the toothbrush off as it fills up with crud. I'm trying to figure out how to get the water pan under the radiator cleaned out. He ended his video just at the point I needed him to continue!! lol
@@jinawithaj1 My pleasure. I just got done cleaning up the actual tray the radiators sit on. It's a pain and nasty, but hopefully it starts draining into the front bucket again.
Thank you Wendell!!!! My hero ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Thank you so so much for posting this video. Without it I would still be working on getting those side panels off. 👍👍👍
Thank you

Thanks! That was the part that I was stuck on too. Worked like a charm!

Thank you. That one detail about sliding the sides down out of the front is what I needed to know.
OMG thank you dude!! I can’t believe I found this. You are the reason for UA-cam! Thank you again
Thanks for the tips. The side panel was tricky until I saw how you did it.
Thank you!

horrible video. thanks pal, and from 2014 yet. I am pretty sure phones shot better video than this.
How to remove those side panels is worth it's weight in gold!
Those side panels, thank you!

Thank you Wendell, I would have definitely broke the tabs trying to take the unit apart.
Thanks! You are a big help on that pesky panel!
Thank you!
Thank you my brother
What is the yellow dough right on the left hand side of the back above the power cable? It does not do anything, and it is very heavy.
Thanks man. I would've broke the side paneling if not for you.

Very helpful - thank you!!! Those side panels had me stumped too.
Does anyone know what is that play doh oily substance right next to compressor? 1:16 bottom left side. (my is leaking oil out of it)
Thank you so much for creating this video! I don't think I would have ever figured it out. Such a great help!!
Thank you kindly, your video saved the day on removing side panels! Much appreciated!
Thank you! I had a different model, but same concept.
Thank you. Very helpful.
Thank you my friend. You solve my problem, I could not get the side panels or the front panel off, but you’ve shown me how. Blessings
Thanks so much for taking the time to post your video. Just the tip I needed to pop off those side panels.
Thank you

Thank you! I was struggling with the side panels too. Your video showed EXACTLY what was required and allowed me to succeed.
After getting panels off, how do you clean the Grill?? Thanks in advance!
