I saw Chicago Union Station in person for the first time last Spring when I boarded the Empire Builder and I was absolutely blown away by how big and impressive it is. Easily one of the best train stations on the continent, it's beautiful.

What’s up with the bridge on the other side of the river? It looks like an old walkway carved into the rock decayed over time. I’d be interested to learn the history of what it was used for.
