This is a showcase of tripwire block transmutation that worked from 12w22a to 12w26a (1.3 snapshots). This is a very simple method to change the data value of blocks. Hey, is there any way transmutation can be used to obtain a grass block in beta 1.7.3? The end goal is getting grass in the nether, I don't even need the block in the inventory. Thank you!
Hey Sugary! Interesting question! In just Beta 1.7.3, there is no way to get a grass block in the Nether. The block transmutator only allows the data value of blocks to be changed, not the data value of blocks. However, if you play in previous versions, it's possible to obtain the grass block. In some Indev versions or Beta 1.6 Test Build 3, there were debug chests that contained grass block items. If you obtain these items, you can place them into the Nether. Otherwise, you have to wait until Beta 1.9 Prerelease 4 or later after the introduction of silk touch. Hope this helps!

Dont know if you will see this but for MCDF wiki for 23w_13a_or_b cant you get barriers, bedrock, pertrified oak slabs and all of that from fishing (There is a vote where you can fish any iten)
Yes, you can get any item from that fishing vote but also from several item replacement votes. I've been working on a page on the MCDF Wiki called "Any NBT on Any Item" for several months, you should check it out!
