'Sometimes' final song of the night Liverpool 29/10/2011
This coming Tuesday - woohoo!
We were there too - wish he'd come back! What a great artist!
How good is this?
Just so good. Never gets old
Brilliant👍👍👍
oh what I would give to be there.
James were such a special band. Really love their early work. I remember being totally flabbergasted (crestfallen) when hearing the 'Come home' single. It was such a let down. That really was the breaking point for me. They were a kind of U2 from then on. What a shame...
can't believe no-one replied to this - 100% correct! Never the same after Gavan left ...
this recording gives me chills, time to wallow in some base and let leif sing right through me. seeing him live is something not to be missed
39 yrs ago tonight x
holy shit! x
And I was there! They supported Big Country (who I had gone to see) Went downstairs backstage afterwards to meet Big Country and Tim and the band were there as well. A few days later I went to see Kissing The Pink at UMIST and the support band were James!! I think there was around a dozen people in the crowd,
And if I remember rightly there was one song which he announced as very recently written so he had to sing the lyrics from a notebook.
T.B. or not T.B...?! ;-)
dis kinda trash cant li
lol

Why is Tim Booth trying so hard to look gay ?
They are both as bent as two 9 bob notes trying to out camp one another ha ha. Went so faaar left there's nothing left. 👎
The man is married ...hey be going since 97 maybe?. The guy has loads of energy at his age....that's the waybhe preforms....its not trying to look guy
Fully dead
Both bands died back in the mid '90's. Just a kareoke parody nowadays. Unfortunately
Cool !!! Can't wait until Saturday in Manchester to see them again
Thank you . A rare gem here
Wow how much has Tim changed unlike bass player Jim
a SMITHS copy
nothing like the smiths
formed way before The Smiths in fact and Morrissey was a huge fan !
Completely different bands. Nobody can beat Johnny Marr in famous indie riffs for example.
I've loved both bands for 30+ years, but this is nonsense. What Smiths song sounds even a little bit like this?
@@jam-nc8ut She’s a troll. Calls The Smiths “A James Copy” on Smiths videos too! 🤦♂️
Most bands have monitors with their own lyrics on when they play live
Yeah shit bands like bon Jovi!!!
@@simpatico1975 hahaha, brilliant!
I agree. I'm a big Charlatans fan and love Tim to bits but....COME ON, everyone knows the words to this. Although, he may have been a bit overwhelmed by Tim Booths "enthusiastic" moves.
Reading lyrics wtaf?? Well unprofessional. Learn the tune Tim you fucking mushroom head
Why did the original drummer and guitarist leave ?
Once read that they'd been convicted of assault. Necessitated replacements, for sure.
Paul Gilbertson got fired in 1985 due to drug problems shortly before the James II EP because it caused negative publicity and stagnated their growth (The band later joined Sire records, which didn't help). Paul now works as a taxi driver in Manchester and he hasn't talked to the band since. Gavan Whelan got fired in 1988 after getting in a fight with Tim at a party. Despite him begging to stay, he was kicked out as he got into physical alterations with Jim and Larry as well previously. However, he ended up being a roadie for Primal Scream and got into another band (The sources I got from him were from 1997 and I don't know where he is now).
@@jackobora3193 That did not happen
@@thescottishcrusader2781 OK he never looked like he was on drugs, his power of the drums are more than (David Power) he is more in to electronic and bass, Hate that shit and he is 15 or more years older than me, Fukka needs to grow up you can't be young forever, they call you Power for something lets see a crazy James album recorded or not, you can't beat one fan clapping you was not even there like One fan,
@@jackobora3193 I think I read that the original drummer Gavan Whelan had a fight with Tim on stage in Stoke-on-Trent, and that other band members had had problems with him as well.
Tune
was there brilliant as always
class as always ..
plus de 60 ans et je continue à t'aimer !!!
James forever in my <3
The first part was me shouting out to Newton hahaha xD, I was with two other girls shouting write it on your skin
See you in Norwich cannot wait to hear this
Won't they come to Bulgaria?
Great song but Dear John for me is the best - but have to say awesome album
Thanks for posting this. I was there and it brought back great memories of a wonderful performance
Thank you :-) It was an awesome evening. I had never seen him live and he didn't disappoint! The bonus was the amazing support acts too..a real musical feast.
best song on the album for me, beautiful lyrics and music. Can't wait to see them in Manchester
+Andrew Parker I agree! great song..see you in Manchester!
Same here mate! Going tonight 😀
simplemente la mejor banda del mundo...sin duda.James James!!!!
Thank you so much for taping and sharing! Cheers from Mexico!
yet again the guys show they only get better with age,i first seen james live 25yrs ago and they just get better, without a doubt one off the best bands iv seen live,iv seen the stone roses, the charlatans, the verve, embrace, oasis and none come close to james live.p.s johnny yen is a legend.
James at their best before big stadium titis took hold
JAMES JAMES JAMES!!!
whole album was great. doesn't sound as good here.only saying this so anyone whose not impressed listening to this needs to either see it live theirselves or hear it on the album. as this song is brilliant.
Yes...an iphone video will never compete with the real thing! Hopefully will just give people a glimpse of how good the new album is. James are just THE best band live and I can't wait for the tour!
Love it! Thank you for sharing! Greetings from Portugal! x
What happened at 1.37 - Paul Gilbertson decided to sing along, then changed his mind?
Great
the original line up was the best, gavan whelan was one awesome drummer.
in '89 Tim and Gavan join together in an hard Boxing Fight on stage ... ;-)
PERFECTION!!!
@rebelbhoy1888 I was dancing in the walkway behind the upper seats. I didn't give a damn that I was the only person out of my seat & just going for it on the balcony. The accoustics in the concert hall almost rival the Barra's.
@emilybronte2005 Even if I can't spell...!
thanks for postig... I'm proud to say i was there too ! x
