Wanting to get a rs660 this year but always hear issues around aprilias did you have any problems?

@ - Hey man. No issues at all with the bike when I had it. I put around 17,000 miles on in just 1.5 years of riding time and enjoyed every moment of it. It’s a great bike and has more than enough of everything to satisfy your needs. Let me know if I can help you further!

What made u decide for the rsv4 instead of all the other bikes. Its a very unique choice i feel like. Seems like everyone drools over the r1 and s1000rr

@ - Honestly, everyone has either a R1M or S1000RR. I wanted to have something a little unique, still knowing a majority of people own a RSV4. Nothing special, just stepping up from a 660 to a RSV4.

@@kevinridez true there is a fair bit of them out there but i just feel like its at least not mentioned as much. Im working my way up to a rs660 right now and also hope to own a liter bike one day even though incurance is really expensive like 270 monthly

Fully open exhaust, no DB killer in it.

Yes, running a T500+ Gabro UpMap SC Project no db killer tune.

This exhaust has no catalytic converter or baffle in it. The baffle was very easy to remove/reinstall if needed.

Stock for sure wasn't bad, but I couldn't pass up putting an exhaust on this bike here!

The CRT does not come with a DB killer at all. It will always be louder than a SC-1R with it without a DB killer. The SC-1R is definitely loud enough to have fun with and not give you a headache at the end of your ride. I have a friend that has a CRT exhaust on his RS 660 and it is definitely too loud for any scenario.

Aprilia only allows full systems to be made for this bike. There is no way with the stock exhaust/headers to have a slip on.

SC Project in my opinion is one of the best. Arrow, Akro, and Austin are second!

Rear brakes are not very good I was going to buy an rs660 but i found the rear break was poor and now you show it squeaky too, I then found out the paint work is very thin, no boot guard so swing arm gets damaged by constant rubbing of shoe, oil leaks engine light and water pump issues, real shame it’s a beautiful bike but quality extremely lacking so I ordered the new Honda cbr600rr which by chance has just come back on market and looks stunning

It was surprisingly cheap for the front wheel. Only $250 with bearings which is a bargain in my opinion.

Yes it does! It's an Italian bike, it is suppose to be that high.

CRT is way louder lol This one is just a tad bit quieter than the CRT with the baffle out. The CRT was definitely my first choice.

@@hddanman7263 baffle is out! I wasn’t going to compromise any sound or performance on a full titanium system!

I have 2700 miles on it so far and only brought it to the dealer once for the first service. Bike is immaculate.

@@kevinridezoh nice thats much i would say. Well sometimes my chain cam tensioner does weird noises but other than that its perfect. I hope yours runs better hahah

This spot is known for cops to be aggressive with any exhaust over 90-95Db so we knew he wouldn’t stop all of us lol

I started on a 06' CBR 600RR. The 660 is definitely a slight downgrade in power but way better electronics.

@@kevinridez thanks man! AF1 is about 20 mins down the road. Was debating the MRA or the Puig but I think seeing the MRA from your POV has me sold. Is that the light tint or dark tint?

I asked my dealer and they checked the database. It came back as a 23’ RS 660. It was probably finished being made in late 2022 but didn’t come to the US until January 2023.

It was my first time going to the place so if there wasn’t any sport bikes, I wasn’t going to bother going l. As I drive by I saw some so I decided to loop around and go into the meet.

I went from a 2006 CBR 600RR to the 2023 Aprilia RS 660. There is minimal power difference between the two. The 600RR has a slightly higher top end while the RS 660 has all of the torque. The reason I went with the RS 660 instead of a Liter bike or another 600CC super sport is because of the price tag, and the electronics on the RS 660. I recommend getting it. It will be worth it. It’s a 2023 model. I checked with my dealer and they said that mine is 2023, right from the Aprilia database.

@@kevinridez your bike is not in the 2023 models’ serial numbers… that color scheme is only available in the 2021-2022 model year serial numbers… It can be manufactured (completed) in 2023, and still be a 2022 model, which is what’s up with yours, it seems
