After you change the valve body will you need scan tool to bleed the system?

Question? 2013 journey, leaking coolant from under oil cooler, changed the gaskets and o ring, never had an oil leak, its leaking coolant, could the oil cooler be cracked?, or is there another location under the oil cooler that fluid could leak from, oh and i checked the oil cooler coolant hose for cracks as well, still leaks fluid after gasket change, need help. Lol

Hi. I have a 2016 Fiesta Titanium Hatchback 1.6L sigma "J" engine. Approximately 11k miles after a complete tune up the passenger side mirror was torn off by accident. I got home with no issues. The next morning i had to jump start the vehicle and it ran like crap on my way to and from work. Rough idle, loud sound from front of engine, irratice shifting, and absolutely no power. I ran obd II and got P0365 and P0369. CMP sensor circuit B Bank 1. And same sensor intermittent. I know where bank 1 is but circuit B? So i replaced the both. No change. Sent to a shop they replaced coil pack ran better but still not right. So i did a real tine drive test and still got the first 2 codes and some pending misfires after further investigation i notice fresh oil under the complete left side front to back. Pull the air filter and a puddle if oil . I somehow lost a qt. Of oil. Also the ruthenium plugs i put in look like they had 200k miles on them and one was loose. So fixed the noise by tightening the plugs new AF new evap purge valve went for a drive and the car died with the code P0111 IAT sensor out of range. I got it started limped home and she cranks tries to fire but just wont start. Then found faulty plug wires replaced plugs with oem replaced the map/mapf sensor, checked all sensors the intake and exhaust VCT solenoids were out of range. Weirdest if all i cleaned the Throttle body . Checked the intake no residual oil. Pulled the PCV hose no oil there either. So where did all the oil come from in the air box? When i get the new solenoids and warranty plug wires and swap that relay . If she doesn't start, keep an eye out for a floating fiesta on the ohio river. Any ideas?

The 4100 was definitely not a "big block" V8. The '79 and '80 Eldo had a big Caddy V8, but not after 82.

Maybe you need a new oil cooler

Hi thanks for sharing such a practical and informative video I have a Alfa guilietta which has the the very same transmission I’m having a problem.The transmission was all fine but for some reason I had to remove the battery and after reconnecting the battery I lost all gears no 1,2,3,4,5,6 and no reverse while the car is idling but when I switch the engine off I can select reverse neutral and D1 I’m getting a diagnostic trouble code “P 290E -55 clutch self calibration enable” I tried doing a clutch calibration and a end of line service calibration but the end result message reads failed “Plausibility Error during engage R gear Can you advise me as to what the problem may be Thanks in advance

Hello, I’m having problems with this same car setup, the side on transmission there is hydraulic actuator with sensor was bad and broken because they puts automatic fluid not gear oil, but I didn’t know that first, so I took the valve body hydraulic assembly out and it wasn’t broken so I went and took the side hydraulic sensor it was broken now I put the new side in and put the valve body back in and put d3 brake fluid as the search says, but not working car won’t start and says transmission not available or clutch disengaged, do you think the fluid is wrong or the wires I put wrong or it needs bleeding the system, or i put the valve body wrong?

I just got a dart exactly like the one in your videos now I’m haveing a few problems with it I’m hoping to hear from you hopefully you can help me. Now my dart does turn on the problem I m have is same service transmission comes on but what it does is when I put it in to drive it won’t read all it’ll say is to put into n neutral and shift back to gear when I do it still won’t go and t’ll make this grinding noise and it’ll say service transmission gears unavailable if any ideas or questions lmk please

I have a 2011 Ford Feista that when you turn the ignition it's trying to start but it just want start, and when you take your hand off of the key it keeps on trying to start, please help me, because no one seems to be able to help me.

I swear this has to be one of their worst designed engines ever and I love the Wranglers.

I’m thinking that mechanical genius only works on four wheel disc brake cars! I always clean and adjust the drum brakes every oil change or when I switch from summer to winter tires . The e brake handle should only pull up 3 clicks.

When you replaced the sensors where did you get them from ? My crank shaft position sensor was bad went and got one from advanced auto parts and the car didnt wanna start at all so i put the old one back in and it started right up but was still messing up and throwing CEL . Went and got a OEM crank shaft sensor from jeep dealership and issue fixed .

got two tipms both did the same thing could'nt figure it out then checked fuse bingo! both tipms blew the same fuse. thanks !

I bought one for 950$ had it listed as a bad trans. Ddct had to jump start it. Got it home put my battery out of my other dart in it started up drove great no shifting problems put a little over 1000 miles on it then it started doing this “gear unavailable” “go to P then n blah blah” so I popped hood and my speed drive sensor was super hot let it cool down car drives great again for about 15-20 minutes then SDU gets hot again so I bought a used speed drive unit from LKQ and it does the exact same thing with that one any idea what it could be? Car has been setting but would like to drive it or fix to sell

Hey! I'm in almost the same exact situation you were in. I just bought a 2016 Jeep Compass with 108k miles, that a shop diagnosed as having a bad transmission. So the person decided to sell it, and I got it for insanely cheap. I have a snap-on scanner but only updated to 2013, so I used my cheap scanner to scan for codes, and got the same codes you have, P0741 and P0777. I also got P0506. The same thing is happening to me where I start it and put into gear, it tries to move and then the throttle pedal stops doing anything and the idle rpms go down(that might be where this P0506 is coming from). Do you know of anyway to test the transmission control module? I am about halfway through taking my transmission out when I found this video... I did drop the pan and drained the fluid; I don't think the fluid had ever been changed. It was brown/black and smelt burnt, and there was some metal fillings in the pan. Metal in the pan can be normal, but mine was a little excessive I think, some larger bits. I think I'm still going to tear it down and inspect everything. There are some pretty common wear/failure points, that have aftermarket remedies that would be a good idea to replace, especially with how bad that fluid was.

My mom has kia soul 2014 hers does it when hitting gas and oils just gone outta no where loses power she gonna call kia see they change engine i did vin showed up home they just outright replace engine they always do maintenance they were on loan just paid it off

Mine at cruising speed will Rev up and catch Rev up then catch. It totally shifts fine till i get up to speed and then do that. No codes though. 2007 caliber. Do you think mine is similar? Thanks for the video. :)

Slide some fishing wire through the clip, so that if the clip falls or pops out when you pull it out, you can retrieve it with the fishing wire.
