Hidden Cadillac found after 16 years
Were you able to do this swap? I have a Seville and am wondering if this is possible
I decided not to put any money into this car due to its extremely low resale value. I put the car in marketplace and basically had to give it away.
Gratitude
Thanks bro you helped me out big time 🫱🏿🫲🏻
ONLY get the OEM cooler again it comes with the updated smaller Oring. Cramming the larger o-ring with grease isn't a good option and Try to refrain from the aftermarket aluminum they can be ill fitting..
Where did you buy that oil cooler ?
Thanks for your Idea. I Installed oem Cooler on our 2017 Caravan 114000 km, ,torque them down nicely and i just put some reg oil on the main orange Oring and.the Cooler Oring, New Intake Gasket and new Coolant, 3 months later it leaks again ,.i can see it under the housing Not happy with that, i decided to take it this week to the dealer.
worse thing I've even have to try to find how to take off a carb thx 🫡
My cooler has been replaced 5 times. The last two were Dormans. Immediately the seal next to the o ring port blows out where the small channel is cast in the cooler housing. It seem to me this has to do with high oil pressure which is supposed to be normal per Chrysler. Piss poor design that FCAshould warranty
I had a similar issue with mine. I bought a set of Mopar(fca) gaskets and swapped them out and I think that solved that problem. I also use Lucas assembly lube on all the o rings and seals. Please take that advice because when you put the two different brands of gaskets side by side the Dormans are smaller by a lot. So much so, that they rest almost flush with the mating surface without being torqued down. I took pictures its hard to believe.
@@kennywylie3450 Your cooler has to be replaced 5 times, which is asinine because you're putting in aftermarket ill fitting junk, you should have just gotten the OEM. It comes with the updated smaller o-ring from '18 through '22 that the aftermarket doesn't come with for the down oil port.. It's not a Chrysler issue it's an ill-fitting aftermarket part issue
This part should be an aluminum casting from the OEM not plastic. You know it's going to age from oil and heat and eventually fail. Just like all the plastic parts on BMWs that are infamous for leaking. The next problem is the replacement units made of cast aluminum are from China and aren't manufactured to an OEM quality level of machining.
The screws on my carburetor are completely cut off. Theres no way to do that, Ima just buy a new carbuetor, Tamper proof screws suck!
Thank you so much this really help me
I have a caliber its doing jerk jerk when driving
Change your spark plugs
@MidwestMechanics done did that and coils its the trans iam sure
Replace crankshaft sensor
I am 72yo and 50+ year Mechanic and Retired Multiple New Car Dealership Owner. My Wife LOVES her 2011 1.4 Cruze. I have been chasing the "Random Misfire" Codes for over a year. Car gets 35mpg on the highway. Just has a reoccurring cold start stumbling and even occasionally dies, until warm. Have done the plugs once, Coil Pack, PVC Tubing and Valve Cover., Mass Air, Turbo Waste Gate checks OK and the little pink rubber is still in the PVC intake port. Just recently had to change the Thermostat for P0599 and Fan running full time. That is OK now.
Did the plugs fix it
In this case, yes it did.
Hi what size are the torque to yield bolts?
my 2013 Elantra GT with 70K miles and it is starting to have the piston slap at cold start.
The person you bought the car from is watching this video thinking 😨
Why on gods green earth would they put these screws on a carb. Been trying to remove for a week
Changing just the seals is a waste of time and money. Replace the entire assembly, or you will be doing it again. Some of the aftermarket housings use an O-ring that is too fat and even if you lube it up properly, will still fold over or split. If you're going with an aftermarket housing, probably wise to buy the OEM seals, and swap them onto the new housing. This will still be cheaper than buying an OEM housing if you're on a budget. Make sure the mounting surfaces are squeaky clean! I use 3M stripping pads for this. Saturate with soapy water, or WD40 and scrub all the mounting areas clean. When installing it, follow the bolt tightening sequence, and do not cinch one bolt down all at once. Go slowly through the sequence until the housing is fully seated, then do your final torque spec. I have seen new housings damaged on installation because bolt #1 in the sequence is the top-left bolt, and #2 is the bottom-right bolt. If you tighten it down all at once, the housing will go down crooked and you can stress the plastic and crack it. It's only 5 bolts. Go through the sequence little by little, until the housing is flush. Likewise, make sure the bolt holes are clear and clean of any debris. This area of the engine is a magnet for filth. The torque spec for the bolts is very low. Any debris will give you a false reading, and result in a loose housing that will leak. I like to hit them with brake cleaner, then blow them out with air. If the threads look sad, I'll chase them with a tap for good measure. Treat them with the same scrutiny as head bolt holes. If the valley is flooded with oil and coolant from the leak, it's probably wise to replace the harness as well. This should only be OEM. Do not put any faith on the cheap Amazon harnesses. Those are terrible quality and will drive you crazy with intermittent errors. This is not a hard repair to perform, but does require a "touch" you develop through experience. Just be mindful and pay attention to all the details, and if possible original parts only. That's going to result in the highest quality repair.
Just an update, so far this Amazon aluminum cooler has lasted almost 2 years. I do highly recommend it if an oem one is not an option.
Well written! Big ups bro!
I ordered a box of should get here in a day or so and then I'm going to have a reprogramming and then I'll come back with an update
@@Muttaqi757 let us know!
I'm convinced these motors run on the pain of the mechanics that fix them
Yep
I can't believe they design shit like this
What is the cost for something like that to be done?
Done right, with OEM parts? About 650-800. Depending on labor costs in your market as well as if you need to replace the wiring harness under the cooler.
Hello! I have a Dodge Caliber. I can't defeat p0741 for a long time. The error is floating. Sometimes it appears on uneven roads. I removed the variator wiring, found a scuff. I drove perfectly for 3 days, and now the same problem again. If it's not the wiring, then what could it be? I'll soon replace the cabin ventilation valves (they crumbled a long time ago), I think maybe because of excess moisture.
How long has this TCM lasted you?

How about gasket maker? Saw someone do that for a client
That's good that your safe thanks for the video definitely gonna check it out on my car cause it's burning oil
I’m not gonna get too excited yet. But you may have just saved me a complete nightmare. I got under my hood and started messing with stuff and all of the sudden I came across your video and searching. Why the hell I have codes all the sudden after playing under the hood. When I saw you come across that ground wire I remembered that day I was under there my ground wire, but I moved it aside and I think because everything is so dryand old, I may have interrupted it state of being. I’m gonna re-ground and see if that fixes things.
Let us know if it fixes it!
I had two shops tell me my Patriot had a bad transmission. I changed the spark plugs and its been perfect since.
That’s also very common on the 2.4 model, but there won’t be a check engine light on for the transmission in that case.
I guess the self adjusting mechanism on this car isn't working or perhaps he needs new rear brake shoes. Well as I sit here, I have the same problem. No leaks, full reservoir, new front brake pads and rotors, but rear wheels spin very freely and rear pads are worn (car has 135K and rear shoes have never been replaced). Will get back to you and let you know whether replacing the shoes and make the adjustmet fixes problem. If not, I'll replace master cylinder.
Sad bro thats nuts
Helpful video, my jeep patriot 2011 has the same issue of randomly doing nothing at all when I get on the gas but doesn’t slam into gears. Has a p0777 code and hopefully this will do the trick.
did it?
Did it work for you?
Quick question man do yu know where the TCM located on a 09 Pontiac
how would you program the new solenoid?
Where did you get tue replacement ecu?
Our kia soul is under warranty still and had the p1326 code, but... two different dealerships did not replace the engine. First dealership said it was not the engine. Second dealership said it needs a new engine but it passed the rod bearing test. The car still runs, but we are not taking any risks for it to lock up. Is there anyone that can help us get the engine replaced before it locks up? Pleeeease help us. We had to pay for the diagnostic tests at both dealerships! Around $180 each test 😢.
I just got the same car and same noise should I be worried?
Happened to me on my 2013 durango... Same spot. This fixed my issue. Thanks
I have that motor in my Cadillac
Good tip to lube your O-Rings, I did the same on mine, but used Lucas High Mileage Stabilizer for lube, very sticky
mine is the same changed coil. plugs. Moved the fuel injector. Has a new coil connector. Cylinder 3 still misfires. But only at idle when I rev it misfire goes away. Only code is p0300 but on a scan tool the only cylinder that misfires is cyl 3 counts over 1000 but does not turn on the check engine light. Also it only misfires when the ac is on blows my mind.
How are you dear. I have a 2008 Cobalt with a 2.2 engine and an automatic transmission. There is a problem: when I start driving the car, the transmission gear becomes hard shift after driving for 5 minutes. and then When I turn off the car and restart it and drive it again, the transmission becomes normal and smooth shift. But after continuing to drive the car for 10 minutes, the transmission returns to becoming hard shift , knowing that there is a code p1811( maximum adapt and long shift). what do you think about this problem?
Can a bad cylinder head cause glitter in the oil ?
Hey did urs do a loud cold start rattle/knock also, that went away after about 5 seconds?
Yes. What do I do? 2012 elantra
@@lol34321 Its likely a bad CVVT sprocket exhaust or intake side. Replace timing chain + sprocket

I got a 10 year old Hyundai with piston slap but it had 152k miles on it 😂😂 poor lady got screwed. Is the new engine different? Are they putting the same engine with the same problems back in it?
Hello thank you for this video ,so i m also in similar situation i bought hyundai santa fe 2014 and it has the p1326 code .did dealer charged you for inspection?
P707 is what code.
Totally agree! The sporty is a good bike. But I was ready for a bigger bike a couple of months after I bought it. Just get the bike you really want, and take it easy while you get used to it.
