    I watch your videos and your video is very helpful. But I saw your videos has some SEO & Keywords problems. You do not promotion your videos on any Social Popular Media Platforms. Your video tags is not good. If you fix that problems then you will gain more organic Views because SEO & Keywords sections are the most important things for videos to achieves potential Viewers & Subscribers.

    You couldn't find five people who believe employee engagement can be accurately measured. I used to Google "measuring employee engagement," and I would consistently get over a hundred million hits. Given that Gallup has not that I can find done the research on why, despite the exponential growth of surveys, EE/EX experts, authors, consultants, seminars, HR Tech, webinars, coaches, social media and researchers, and billions invested, why hasn't the needle moved for decades? Who decided employers should expect that people doing work, that thing they have to to survive, should be expected to engage at a greater rate than 30%. Of course, Gallup is in the employee engagement consulting business. I've been researching this for 20 years, and I have not found examples of anyone in the EE/EX/HR business citing client success stories showing their EE/EX initiatives improved business metrics. Measuring engagement is a waste of time. Assume that whatever it is, you want to improve it, so the process becomes the critical element, not the measurement. The entire EE/EX market, based on results, is nothing more than snake oil. The clients keep buying, and the providers keep collecting the revenue; the employees and investors are left out. What am I missing?

    Michael thanks for sharing. Do you offer mentorship? I currently coach at a NPO organization and I'm a certified coach and also have a executive coaching certification. I 'm looking to get mentorship for my business to move to 1/1 Executive coaching clients and some corporate training. I've seen Andrews videos in the past and the Centre for Executive Coaching is amazing but I'm looking to step into the next level.

    Very useful video. Your explanation of the different elements of SCARF has improved my understanding of the SCARF concept. I am currently doing the EI (Emotional Intelligence) course at my school and the unit we are in now talks about the implementation of SCARF as a leader vs NVC (Non Violent Communication) which needs to accompany your understanding and implementation of SCARF. This is helpful. Very many thanks for this.

    Three great coaching strategies, Michael. The mini business plan and heartfelt conversation play to different types of clients. What criteria do you look at when suggesting either?

      Thank you, Luke! I would say the business plan works well for someone who's more of a logical thinker whereas the heartfelt conversation would likely work better for someone who's more of a feeling client. I would also use that approach when I have built up a good rapport with the client.

    I would like to add in my tip: 1. We should keep gap between their meetings so we can gather ourselves after previous meeting and be present back with coming meeting. 2. The owner can send the relevant links or reference files in invitation emails which help all the participant easily access during the meeting without spending time searching. (all in one email)

    Most UNhelpful 😢 Vague: get training? That’s not sound advice. It’s much too basic. If you actually are knowledgeable, you should be providing more value. This type of advice can be found on any bubble gum blog. Are you serious? Time wasted!

      Fair comment! I believe what Mike was getting at here is that many coaches go into coaching by getting coach training, but rarely ever invest in sales training. A little can go a long way to help a coach feel more comfortable with the sales aspect of running a business.
