      Let this be a sign that you are on the right path for you. The messages always find you when the time is right. Having a little nervousness or fear come up before ceremony is totally normal. Personally, I think it is necessary because it shows that you respect the medicine. The moment you said yes to entering in ceremony the medicine already started working with you. Everything that comes up for you is coming up to move through. The more you surrender to the process the more expansive and enjoyable the experience will be. The more you resist and stay attached to old patterns or energies that want to move the harder the journey will be. Set your intention and then surrender to the process and watch the magic unfold. May you receive all the messages you need to hear, see and feel. Come back and share your experience if you feel called. Would love to hear about it. Aho. 🙏🏼

    Love your healing path but “Shaman” and “Medicine Woman” are terms that belong to indigenous peoples.

      @TheEmbraceandExpandPodcast 6 місяців тому

      Thank you so much for watching the episode! I do agree with you that the term Shaman, medicine man/woman, healer, etc have become terms that are over used by many. But if we actually look at the definition of such terms you will find that these names do not belong to any one indigenous culture. “Around the world shamans are called by many local names, among them sorcerer, healer or curandero/a, walker between the worlds, medicine man/woman, priest, transformer, psychopomp and so on. Shamans may inherit the role from their ancestors, come into it by surviving an accident or disease, display talent for it as a child, or merely seek training on their own.” If we all look back far enough in each of our lineages we all come from these indigenous cultures. These names are more so used for those that choose or are chosen by the people to walk this path. Those of us that have spent much time with these cultures, as Shaundra and myself have done, know that these names are gifted by these indigenous cultures. The world is large but these cultures are shrinking and as western culture continues to spread less and less of the decedents from these cultures are choosing to walk the path. That is why these cultures choose to share this wisdom with westerners in hopes that we will bring these teachings back to the west and spread them. I think we have to respect these names and the cultures they come from but also respect their choice to give people these titles as they see fit. Again, thank you so much for watching the show and your respect for the wisdom the indigenous cultures are bringing back to this world when it so desperately needs it. 🙏🏼

    Truly superb. I admit I am not a great fan of podcasts. I have been disappointed too many times. This however is a shining example of how to do one. To start, there is no time wasted on irrelevant chit-chat. Secondly, a host who actually listens and gives priority to the guest. Thank you. I have been into Druidry for around a decade and this is by far the best and the most interesting account that I have come across. I was so impressed by Mr Greer's mentions of Buddhism, another of my passions. His understanding of such issues was a breath of fresh air. His use of the term "A Path to Wholeness" and his description of it is also of great importance. The inclusion of such matters as the work of Carlos Castaneda and The Heroes Journey made this talk incredibly relevant to me on a personal level. Such writings and ideas were important to my development, I am glad that somebody of Mr Greer's calibre recognizes their value.

    One of the huge stumbling blocks in nature magic is the druid's insistence on "mother nature and father sky" or "Sun is father, Moon is mother" ... and so we raise our daughters to be disconnected and earthy and our sons to believe they are the dominators who are full of light. Meanwhile, the reality is.... simply not that dynamic. Most boys are lost in a digital porno Never-Never land, causing the girls to take on every single social duty to compensate. Frankly, these try hard daughters who sell out their sisters in order to write their name on a history that lacks adequate women role models have become the biggest snag in current north american, east coast magical culture. The social politricks that forges personal identity out of form alone whether it be race, gender, sexual preference, etc. IF your pagan beliefs claim to *not* enforce this dynamic, why oh why is this type of social coding bleeted by every magical sheep coming out of your clan? why are these druids ALL men with hidden hand wives who refuse to go on the record? Until "druidry" can be more honest about their sex addiction and gender enslavement practices, you won't find many balanced individuals signing up for it. You can say that you accept anyone and are open ended via beliefs and practice, but that is not what your mythology or social realities contain. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. Sorry Greer, I doubt the "quit working" mentality you promote will ever result in personal responsibility. The "have nots" typically blame the "haves" and create a victimhood culture where selfishness and selfies become the collective output. The mythical dream of more welfare or UBI so consumption can become their chief practice is what we see. People want/need jobs and roles more than the money itself. No one is humble enough to take the service job. Is there virtue in this? This conversation is about the plight of middle class american males longing for the subjective mother nature of the past. A nature who always says yes, unlike flesh encased wife or mommy-- and it's about 7 years behind the times we actually experience. The "who am I" question is answered by whatever the fool sees in the cosmic mirror of nature-- and this mediocre culture was the result. are you happy? every idiot couple with an instagram account promotes the road trip, live in a van thing. old news. Remember that kid that strangled his girlfriend after living in a insta van road trip dream reality?-- Gabby Petito. look it up.

    Please, talk about "medical plants" and how they might help people who have mental troubles. I have a friend who might have taken their life because my friend misunderstood what I said. Now, I want to die if I hurt this person emotionally. Will "plant medicine" help me, or this other person, if still alive ? My understanding is that the suicide rate is unusually hight with teenagers and elderly. I am 82 years old and was happy & healthy until I heard of the possible death of my friend. Now, I don't care about almost anything. I have "pain avoidance" and am under medical care for pain management.

    See “ Breath of Light “ , by Justin Baker . It’s a three step , Concious Breathing , and Cultivation Technique . 1. Tongue Mudra Practice . Place the tip of your tongue , to the middle of the lump , just forward of the soft palate , on the roof of your mouth. Suction your tongue to the roof of your mouth , with the tongue tip, centered in the middle of the clitoris like lump . This act, connects the psychic bridge , and allows kundalini to rise up from the throat chakra up into the crown nd third eye area , higher energy centres . Switched off in most people , ignorant of the need for its practice , to activate it. 2. Perenium contractions with the inward breath , to retain normally lost energy , with each inward breath . 3. Belly Breathing and using an upward wavelike contraction from the lower abs upwards with each outward breath . So you learn a technique to balance the body , using breath , and using more muscles to circulate energy as we naturally breath slower deeper more powerful breaths , all day long , reguardless of activity . It’s a daily spiritual discipline , that maintains a state of Balance , and allows Kundalini , to rise naturally to the crown chakra , when your ready , and in accord of your practice , and self discipline . I have sparks flowing through my tongue up into my brain , awakening dormant brain cells etc all day long . My tongue dances with kundalini energy , all day every day , by doing this one daily spiritual discipline continually . Breathe in Loving Light , breathe out Loving Light , with the above breathing technique Repeat , repeat , repeat . Once you get the bio-mechanics of the breath of Light , just breath deeper stronger fuller, breaths with the tongue Mudra and internal contractions , with each in and outward breath , combined with the visualisation of Loving light flowing in and out of you . Pay attention to your tongue , and sensations which will happen , when you do this .

      Copper, when coupled with zinc, creates the superoxide dismutase enzyme, which is a very important antioxidant that uses glycine to metabolize damaged DNA, and cells displaying abnormal division rates. It's important that metals be chelated, a natural and organic process demonstrated by most plants, which can be replicated with citric acid when chelating metals for supplementation. Ingested in it's raw form, any metal can cumulate over time in the liver, joints, eyes, nervous system, and labial folds of the brain, becoming toxic. If copper is found in the liver, it has not been properly metabolized through an organic process. Copper reserves are stored in the body to create proteins and energy metabolism using glucose. Many people take monoatomic copper and gold, which has been broken away from it's metallic atom using repeated exposure to molten heat and cold water, creating an entirely different atomic structure that's been used, at the very latest, since predynastic Egypt. Copper in the soil will have to go though a similar metabolic process as the chelated form in supplements, using acids to break down the mineral/metal into a form that can be absorbed and utilized by the plant. What the plant doesn't need isn't absorbed. You can also wear copper jewelry and your skin will secrete an acid that breaks it down into a dermally absorbent form, and once the body reaches a healthy copper threshold, your skin will begin to take on a bluish-green color, indicating the end of its absorption. This is arguably the safest way to ingest any metal, and is certainly not limited to copper. The majority of metals are not only healthy, but necessary (magnesium), when processed properly. Properly chelated metals are elements too small for any organ/plant to filter/accumulate, especially the monoatomic variety which easily crosses the blood/brain barrier.

      Um.. ingesting copper isn't at all what they were talking about. Use of copper-coiled rods in gardens is fairly wildly practice and has to do with the electrical field in the soil and air for aiding plant growth. You're NOT eating the copper wire! Lol 🤦‍♂️

      Absolutely Alison! They definitely have a time and a place but should never be treated as a stand alone thing. More like something you use to help you get to the point of not needing to use it. Just like using crutches to get around when you have a sprain or break. Once you are on the mend you don’t need the crutch anymore.

    Love this.. so many truths spoken and resonating from embracing limitations to navigating life as a HSP to redefining “negative experiences” as blessings in disguise. 🙏🏻 Thank you for this 💜🤟🏼

    Definitely feeling this one…. Feeling that disappointment & judgment from others when you just can’t do it all is something I need to let go. Thank you for this. 💜🙏🏻🤟🏼

      Thank you for sharing that Alison. The feelings are real, but we were never meant to do it all. We have evolved as a species living in tribes where everyone shared the load. Our modern day lone wolf mentality just doesn't work for most, especially those of us that are HSP. Sometimes we just have to back off, simplify and do what we can each and every day. 🙏🏼🤟🏼
