It remains the greatest multi-watchable series written. I think that those who enjoyed this series felt that they were there and definitely would like their lives to reflect any of the characters and to belong in that environment. I have lost count of the times I have watched the whole series. It never fails to please and entertain. A genuine delight, with wonderful characters played by talented actors.

I just discovered this INCREDIBLE SERIES!!! The Characters are exquisite!!! Mrs. Bale and Lol and Madge will be a part of my life FOREVER AND THEN EVERYONE ELSE!!! I am quelled every evening by a television series!!! My gratitude for each one is ENORMOUS! You are a part of my Canadian soul who STILL makes a GRAND CUP of TEA every single day. Bliss YOU!!!

What i liked about the show was it wasn't just a bunch of one liners, all the conedy came out of conversation not jokes, athough there are jokes being made through the conversation, love this show, one of my all time favorites

I'm in Australia and I never tire of watching repeats. Sadly Geoffrey Palmer has passed, I agree the proposal is my favourite, so sweet what he said " I fell in love ...."

A lot of times describing a show as a gentle comedy was code for saying it isn't very funny. ATGB was a gentle comedy and was very funny. The laughs came out of the very well written and acted characters.

I saw this for the first time with my mother the other day. At the end, when she asked what I thought of it, all I could say was, "They don't make them like this anymore."

Love their dialogue and especially their acting

I love this show and am still watching it every day in 2023 even though I have already seen every episode many times.

There will never be another sitcom that comes even close to the cast and writers! Pure class! 👏👏👏 I've seen every ep. a hundred times and still laugh like it was the first! 🥂

What I love so much about the show is it’s a nice quiet comedy with well written natural humor. It does not have a 30 minutes of a cheesy laugh track and one liner after another. They all felt like real people that you have known for years. It’s very cozy and safe when you need it.

Just a wonderful, wonderful show. Did I say wonderful. Anyone can watch this show. No swearing, no drugs, no sex, no religion and no politics just a wonderful script. And all the characters are so real. God bless the actors who are no longer with us. It is so sad watching Geoffrey Palmer on this video.
