In response to your question of the day and “The Queen’s Gambit” Netflix series, I already watched the entire miniseries once. As I was doing my own research on this, I found that it increased the popularity of chess and given that this series was at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, both of those factors contributed to more people taking up the game of chess. As for me, my love for the game grew stronger because of these aforementioned factors. I even played the Netflix mobile game that is based on the miniseries of the same name. It’s great for all skill levels, especially with that mobile game offering a campaign mode that contains various interactive chess lessons with 3 difficulty levels (novice, intermediate, advanced) depending whether they are a beginner who is just starting out in chess, an intermediate player who understands the basic rules, but is learning about the tactics and strategies, or a more advanced player who has been playing chess for quite a long time and is ready to explore complex tactics and theory and also seeking to take their game to expert level and beyond. It also offers the opportunity to play chess games against bots based on the characters of “The Queen’s Gambit” Netflix series including the main character, Beth Harmon, herself.
Great tutorial! New sub!
