Brilliant video. Clutch cable snapped on mine terrain and I was able to replace it my self thanks to this video 🙏🏻
Great tutorial, can you advise what slack there should be in the chain when it is not under tension as dont have anyone to help sitting on bike.
Best check is to pull the chain away from the rear sprocket at about the 3 o'clock position as there should be no obvious slack lifting the chain. The main issue is don't overtighten as causes more wear.
Is it bout 1.5ltr for lc sinnis.terrain as got 1ltr in and not showing on dip stick
How easy is it to take tank of
@rich9726 watch the service videos it's on there
Hi Paul What gel battery can you recommend for the Sinnis Terrain 125cc E5 from 2022?
@@przemyslawchomicki4180 I would just use a Motobat MB9U they seem to perform well in use.
@@silktvPDR1 thanks♥️👌
Hi, thank you for getting back. I have recently added A. Dicha, and so that is fine, what are we meant by movement on the sprocket? I think it's moving from the the cranker case and you know that did the drive but stick, except from the side of the case on the engine it is moving aside to side. Open down, I have checked the bolts. They are tight. It just seems a bit to pizza iffy to me. If that is the case that they are supposed to move like a wobble. Could probably be 55 meal. Maybe 10 per a 3 top to bottom is this normal?
@AlexKitchener if you mean the shaft the sprocket is on absolutely no this is not normal.
Thank you for getting back. Sorry about the message. It was a bit gobbled. It is the front sprocket which is Panchin around not the shaft. If it was the chef I would be worried myself. But the sprocket is moving from top bottom. Is it supposed to do that when the nuts are already tight? Sorry for keep going on but the garage I bought my bike from at which was brand new they're not very helpful.
Oh yes this is AlexI have just checked my front sprocket and these movementfromside to side or from top to bottomon the shaft is a normal thingBecause I'm having problems with chain and sprockets at the moment and I'm just trying to eliminateany faults so if you could please get back to me and let me know as soon as possible I will be much appreciated thank you and keep up the good work as I have just recently subscribed to your site
Normally the issue is the chain itself replace it with the best quality you can get such as DID HD. There is a post on my Facebook page Sinnis Terrain Technical Talk
always luved the silks!
Thank you, it is a good idea to clean the callipers every year they collect a lot of dirt from the road , then the pads do not move as freely as they should. 👍
Thanks how about a video on changing the fork oil seal.
Very informative video enjoyed it just wondering whether or not you could tell me. When should they be checking the valves on the engine in the service? Is it the 6000 miles service or its if required?
Hi Paul I have pink coloured coolant in my sinnis terrain 125 E5, it now needs a top up, I cannot find a G13+ in Pink, but can find a G13 in pink. Does it matter if i get the G13+ and mix it although the colour will be different ? ,or should i get the pink G13 ? What do you reckon?
@@mrg6727 pink G13 is fine
When's the update video on the resistor?
Hi silk I filled my coolant expansion tank months ago, I’ve just taken the radiator cap off to check, it’s completely full, it hasn’t gone down in months, is this. A problem
No 👍
I only ever saw a couple of Silks, they were a quality made stunning British bike that deserved to do better.
Wjere can you find a delphi port adaptor, notjing shows up under that word online

Hi, when the sensor failed did it bring the abs light on, cheers
@davemiller2180 no this only affected the speed reading on ours as there is no ABS light? Do you mean the engine symbol for ECU failure? If so check the video on ECU MIL resistor failure.
Hi , thanks for the reply, the bike is a sinnis smxe 2023 it does have an abs light which is on, its been back to the dealers because it was blowing ABS fuses, they replaced the abs module but came back with speedo not working, checked fuses and there OK, thanks for your help I'll check out your ECU video for when that packs up 😅 cheers
@davemiller2180 that would only help on Terrain models. I'm not that familiar with your bike but it does sound like you have a combined failure! Where is the speedo pickup on your bike and does it use an ABS ring as pick up? I think first port of call would be to check wiring just in case missed by your dealer when replacing the module.
Is this sinnis terrain ,my bottom end seems slack ,thought it was sprocket carrier ,but still there after tightening and greasing it
@llewelynjones4158 no this is a Silk 700s twin
thank you👍
Do you know which JT Sprocket fits the front please?
@Motorbikes-xz6kx it is all on the Sinnis Technical Facebook page as there are a number of cross over parts and sizes
thanks
I remember when they came out there was one up west gate rd at Newcastle. They were twice the price as a 350lc. One of my dream bikes to this day.
Cr9 is on the cooler side especially for a 4 stroke.
best video ever!!!!!
Haha 😂
Great engine...I bought the last Harris Matchless sold before it all ended...
Hey Paul so is this where the water level is? It’s just coolant only? No water? Or isit that coolant is mixed with water already in the bottle?
Buy pre mixed coolant they are normally filled with Motul procool green colour
How do I fix it? Do I have to take out all the wiring??
Hi my engine mangement light flashes at me, I don’t know what it could be? Any ideas please? It’s 2021 and 3k miles on
Common fault its the MIL lamp resistor corroded. Discussed on one of the other videos and on Facebook Sinnis technical talk
Hello Paul I’ve got a question if u could answer please, my coolant is low, so I was gonna top it up, do I need to flush the coolant out? Or can I just top it up in the bottle thanks.
Yes absolutely just top up with similar or the universal clear coolant. They do just seem to use a little coolant nothing to worry about unless loss is excessive of course. Normally Motul Cool is the preferred choice if green coloured
@@silktvPDR1 I have putoline coolant nf and it’s green

Hi silk I’ve just bought this bike, second hand it’s only got 3k miles on, the engine management lights comes on off as it pleases but the guy said he took it to garage and they can’t find a fault, what could it be??

Thanks just wat i needed to see very helpful
Nice Motorcycle❤
Hey dude, just recently bought a sinnis t380 and I'm fairly convinced it hasn't had any servicing done, its currently at 1k miles. I've just done an oil change/filter change myself and checked all tightenings but this part is beyond me. Basingstoke is only down the road from me, what's the price to get this checked/rectified if there's an issue?
thank you, great help.
@silktvPDR1 Bought my son a Sinnis and he’s been loving it, however he slid on the ice 2 days ago, and we’ve not been able to get it started since. Checked fuel, kickstart is up, kill switch is down, spark plug is ok, and other that that it is trying to start, but just won’t. Plenty of trying, like it’s out of fuel, almost like the kill switch is on. Any ideas? Was working fine until he slid. Only went down for about a metre on the right hand side, at 3 mph.
Very informative, and simple to follow. Thank you. Subscribed.
Where can I get these hand guards please
They are on eBay or were I will see if still there
@@silktvPDR1 thanks mate I’ve found some
Do u have LINK for this? Thks
They were on eBay but this was ages ago!
Thank you . I have been searching for this item , I think I am going to fit it now, cheers👍
Hello from Germany. You have a beautiful exported Simson / MZ. I have a question; is it correct that it is throttled to 40kmh via a longer manifold (It should be around ~460mm long I think) and a larger sprocket? I am very interested in the type plate behind the headlight. Are there any export markings on it, or what does it say? German type plate says: Baujahr: 19XX Zul. Ges. Masse kg: 230 Typ: S50N/B/B1/B2 Fahr. gest. Nr.: Doesn't matter
Hi yes absolutely correct on the manifold but this has been put correct now and the UK extra clamp removed. I will check the plates as it has two. One is the Simson plate and it also has a UK MZ plate used by Wilf Green when imported. I have a S51 and an Enduro too great bikes
@@silktvPDR1 Very nice to see that there is a small Simson fan community in the UK too, although it seems to be relatively small. In Germany, the Simson community is very big because although they are mopeds, they are allowed to drive 60kmh instead of 45kmh. I would like to see the type plates, without the VIN number of course. Can you share them somehow? And what colors do the other Simsons have?
Will do
@@bennett394I also have a DKW 2000 and MZ Skorpion and RT125.
@@silktvPDR1 Those are great motorcycles too! 👍
Is it exactly the same process for the Sunnis Hoodlum?
Yes, absolutely same for any bike really with a few minor changes subject to design
@@silktvPDR1 thanks
I'm buying it today guys, is it good???
That's a beaut, so rare. Same indicators as my Laverda alpino
These are Lucas not CEV but yes very similar
That's a beaut, so rare
What is the gap between between the spark plug as I have done it as in the manual and it did not work and I'm getting a orange spark now
You are better off throwing it away and fitting a CR8E or CR8EIX new plug. This is a much better plug and gives a better burn with less soot build up on the Lambda sensor
Thank you will get one today from Halfords
Thanks for your helpful videos. I recently had a 600 mile service and after returning home realised that the service light was showing on the display. The garage apologised but stated that because the light was not on when they serviced the bike they couldn't clear it and I would need to call in when convenient and they'd do it. I can't find anything in the manual or online and it hasn't as yet cleared itself so, can you help please.
