You're awesome! I had watched several videos and still could not get how to use mockups but you helped me. Thank you!
Thank you
THANK YOU!!!!
Idk why this doesn’t work for me
Make sure you're using the right file - a PNG with transparency. Another possible solution - Canva has this annoying feature of locking the image as a background image so then you can’t move it as a layer - at 2:34 - you can see how to unlock and fix it
@@marinistyledesigns yes you’re right it definitely works now I had to purchase a transparent png from Etsy Lol
@@chulo2135 this is a common mistake. Should I create a video specific for that? And I also leave the links for the mockups I use in the video description, so people can get them right away
HAGO MEJORES COSAS Q TU
Hi what size does the image have to be to add on as I have a design which is a4 will only cover 2 tumblers x
Hi Chelsea, 9.3x8.2" is the standard and most used size for the 20oz Skinny Tumbler design. Templates you can buy and use for creating the right size design (ad): designbundles.net/katineart/1380826-20oz-skinny-tumbler-template-svg-straight-and-tape?ref=LK9GLw and for the 20 & 30oz: designbundles.net/katineart/1933534-20-oz-30-oz-skinny-tumbler-template-bundle-svg?ref=LK9GLw
do you have versions of this in canva?
it is not working with canva
If it's not working for you, check if you have the mockup image attached (locked) to the background and detach it so it allows you to send your design backwards. How to fix if you have this issue - at 7:40 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/rvmcz5M0JqY/v-deo.html
which software you used ?
This video is for Procreate. The Mockup works also in Photoshop and Canva
Do you use the pro version or the free version of Canva??
The free one
Hi I'm not sure why, but the free version that I'm using is not allowing me to send to back.
@@confidenshal-learnwithkay1511 Hi, it shouldn't be because of the free version, it's because the mockup image is "locked" as a background. Check out 7:39 - I'm explaining how to fix it.
I purchased a mock-up from Etsy bf or wall art. The wall is slanted a little and the picture frames show the window glare on them for a very realistic look. However when I put my image over my mock-up, “send it backward” my image does not auto tilt, or provide the window glare mock-up. I know it can because many other Etsy users have used this same mock-up. Any advice?
Hi! Canva doesn't have an auto-tilt option at that moment, to create this effect as well as to keep the window glare visible, the other users should have used a PSD mockup file in Photoshop OR if it's a flat PNG file with a transparent frame inside - then again, in another program like Photoshop or other that allows you to tilt/edit the edges of your image and drag them to fit the frame. I hope this makes sense to you, this is what I guess without knowing the file and how the mockup designer created it.
kinda tripped out at the beginning (welcome Olga (my name lol))
Very helpful, my file wasn't working the same as it did in photoshop.
thanks
Hi my template disappears when I say send to back . I try go backwards and send to back and it disappears
Hi! If you hit "Bring to the front" after positioning your designs in the right places and you use the transparent PNG file, your designs should be visible, because the PNG mockup file has empty pixels and everything that's backward should be visible. Are you sure you're using the PNG file and not the JPG file ( which isn't with transparent pixels)? For further support please join my Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/1175696225953409/ so I can provide screenshots as well. Thanks
way to much work and how about trying to talk to explain
great video it helped me. but what are the next steps for once you did this? do you have a video on next steps to print design for tumbler?
Hi Jennifer! Thank you for your questions! I'm a mockup designer so my tutorials will be mostly mockup-related. I would highly recommend the videos of @DesignBundles for the next steps if you're a crafter or want to do tumbler designs. Here are some about the 20oz Skinny Tumbler: ua-cam.com/video/YNc4bA5x4g0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Ct_16YMsTNY/v-deo.html
do you really need the picture to be a mock up file?
Hi Claire, it should be a PNG file with transparent objects (tumblers). The transparent areas are empty pixels actually. It wouldn't work if it's a regular PNG with no transparency or a JPG file. I hope this helps.
Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Followed the video all the way through until the part I’m supposed to move image forward. But forward and backward options are there but don’t let me click on them! Am i using the wrong file maybe?
Hi Sonia. The only case I know when forward/backward options aren't active is when you've made the 1st image attached to the background (Set as a Background image). Right-click on the Tumbler Mockup PNG image and select "Detach Image from Background" to enable the forward/backward options. If you still have issues, I would invite you to join one of the FB groups (see the description below the video to find links) - there you can post a video of your actions in Canva and we can have a look together where the problem comes from. Thanks
@@marinistyledesigns Omg..thank you!!! I know nothing about Canva and this had me completely stuck. I felt so silly. Thank you, thank you, thank you🙏🏾
Very helpful video thank you. Now I’m trying to find a video where I can make liquid look like it’s in the bottle of a mock up
Thanks, happy to hear it. Not sure if I understand you right about the liquid look. If it's regarding the mockup and I can help - feel free to reach me out via some of the channels mentioned in the description/comments (FB, DesignBundles/Etsy PM).
Thank you for this helpful video, but how do you get you design image to curve around the bottom of the tumbler? I've gotten everything else to work perfectly thanks to your instructions!
Hi Alice, unfortunately curving the image is not possible in Canva as the program doesn't have this feature. So mine is also not curved. This will be possible in Photoshop / Photopea with the PSD file. Thanks.
What dimensions should the design be?
The whole design used in the mockup is 7.3x6.2" or 2200x1850 px (divided into 3 equal parts). You could use also the standard size for 20oz tumbler wrap - 9.3x8.2". In a nutshell, any proportions with height:width = 1:1.2. I hope this helps
THANK YOU!!
So far this is the best tutorial I have found for changing background layers. Thanks a bunch.
How do I save and use it again cuz I love this….I been looking for type of mock-ups for my small business. I hope my question didn’t sound silly.
Hi Cassie, you can hit File -> Save As and save it with a custom name, if I understand you right. If you need more help, please join our FB group mentioned below. Thanks
This doesn’t work even with a png file
Hi, do you use the PNG file from the skinny tumbler mockup you've purchased? It won't work with any PNG. For further support please join the FB group mentioned below or message me on the platform you've got my mockup from. Thanks
I think you need to use their template. The tumbler part has to be transparent. Mock up files I've found elsewhere for free are not transparent. When you bring it to the front it covers the image.
This was so helpful!!! Now I can do my mockups. Ive had affinity and the mockup since june. Found your video and did 4 mockups I was going to pay some else to do. Thank you!!!!
So happy to hear that! Keep going!
When I bring it forward my image I put on as the design disappears am I missing a step
Samantha, please make sure you're using the .PNG file with the transparent tumbler areas. So on these areas, you will see at the beginning empty pixels. When the PNG mockup overlays your design - your design will be visible exactly where the transparent areas are. If you're using the JPG file instead, you will see the tumbler areas in white and not your design there.
SO glad I joined your FB group! I was finally EASILY able to create my tumbler mockup in Canva, using your Etsy file and this UA-cam tutorial. Before I did that, I continued to struggle at 5:11-5:13. But now, it's so super easy! Thank you SO MUCH! ♥️
Thanks a lot for the comment, Susan!

Help! When I double click the little corner it’s not doing anything 😭😭
Are you opening the PSD file in Photoshop? For further help, please join the FB group mentioned above and post your question there. Thanks
Is it the same way with your sippy mockup?
The Sippy cup Mockup doesn't allow to create a transparent PNG file for Canva. It includes only the PSD file for Photoshop/Photopea - so you can follow this video: ua-cam.com/video/ZBoqLxXOAZo/v-deo.html If you have any other questions, feel free to comment. THanks
Has anyone gotten this to work ive tried several times and it never works
Hi Melissa, how can I help you?
@@Olga-xp3lh I can't get it to work either. Image disappeared when I brought tumbler mockup forward
me too it wont bring it forward :(
Same Looking for a new video at this point :/
So I’ve been trying to do this for several hours. It works all the way until the end. When I bring the tumblers to the front it just completely covers up my design instead of merging together. I am on a MacBook!
Hey Makayla! Please make sure you're using the .PNG file with transparent tumbler parts and not the .JPG file which has no transparent parts and it will really cover your designs with white areas. @@ebonyjerome5101 same here!
Thank you for this video. Very easy to understand. I did have the issue just like the girl before about the tile type. Thanks for clarifying!
I did everything and worked great until I got to the point of "sending images to front. It brings tumbler images to the front and doesnt wrap my image around the tumbler like yours seems to. Help!
Hi Casey! Make sure the image with your design (and not the one with the tumblers) is selected and then click bring to front. Where do you get the transparent mock up ??

Didn't work for me either. Both of my images are PNG's and when I bring to the front my image disappears as well.

Sorry to hear that. That's the way I can help for now. I'm not a native speaker, so that's why I prefer to text instead of speaking.
When I open my file the 3 cup view under layers are together. How do I separate the cup layers like in this video
Hi Shemeka, please post a screenshot on the FB group so I can have a look at how to help you: facebook.com/groups/1175696225953409 Thanks
I finally figured it out. Well I finally realize I was trying to use the wrong file
@@shemekajordan8320 Happy to hear you've finally figured it out! I'm sorry it was such an issue for you. Generally, the easiest and best way is to contact me via Etsy, where you've purchased the file or via the FB group I've invited you to and ask for support, so I can help you and walk you through the process. So please try this way next time. I'm really sorry to see you've left 2 star-rating to my mockup.
For PC users Open the tumbler image and add to workspace Go to top right hand corner of the tool bar and click on the "lock" symbol to lock the image Load the image you want to add to your tumblers Place the image over the tumblers and set transparency to 30 Right mouse click on your image and choose copy The press CTRL V to paste the image a second and third time Size your images over each tumbler with just a tiny bit over the tumbler sides Click on the tumbler image and click on the "lock" button again - this time to unlock it. Set your three images that you placed over the tumblers back to 100 transparency Right click on the tumbler picture - chose the "bring it forward" option If you need to readjust your pictures over the tumblers right click again and send the tumbler picture back - adjust the pictures and then bring the tumbler picture forward again Click the left mouse button and hold and drag the highlight box over the entire image. Then simply resize the image to fit within the presentation guidelines (the red dotted lines that appear as you move the outer lines of you image) Save your image and you are done.
Still didn't work. Image disappears.
Thanks this was perfect. It worked!
Are you able to send this to my email? I can’t see it on here
Hey! So you can't open it on UA-cam? I can share it on my FB page if you would like to join it: facebook.com/groups/1175696225953409 and please drop a message you're here for the Affinity video! Thanks
Great video. Thank you 😊
I’m not able to right click on my image to copy or paste. I can click on the copy button on the screen but there’s no way to paste. I’m on a Windows 10 HP laptop. Any help would be appreciated. Thx....I tried on my iPad also and no way to paste .....
Hi Crystal! I also have a Windows 10 HP laptop and tried it, it works. I'm sorry I cannot attach a screenshot to explain it better, but if you don't have the right-click menu with the Copy & Paste option, then a workaround would be the following: select the design and click on the Duplicate button (it's located on the top menu bar on the right, the last button before the Recycle bin/Delete btn). For further support please join my Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/1175696225953409/ so I can provide screenshots as well. Thanks, Olga
After multiple tries, when I get to the end and do "bring to the front", my image disappears and the mock up is the only thing showing. Any suggestions. Great video, just what I was looking for. Now to just figure out this one step...lol
Hey! Thanks, Olga
if you are using a PC then you have to "lock" the tumbler image for it to show through. The commands are actually all a little different on a pc.
I followed the video and its not working for me! :(
