Should you buy this $220 wireless sax mic? Xvive U7
I do a thorough comparison and range test of the Xvive U7 wireless sax microphone. This product was sent to me to review for free, but no money exchanged hands and Xvive had no influence on my review.

Ahhhh this is so good, and yet I know I will not manage to make it a habit 😭

Is there a way for me to connect the receiver to my pc? I am a total newbie.
I just found this xlr to usb and xlr to 3.5mm connectors. Which one is better? Or is there a better way?
I recommend getting a regular audio interface like the Motu M2
@@julianbrezon nice! I just saw a couple of vids why the xlr to usb or 3.5 is bad. The motu m2 is a bit expensive for me. Is there a cheaper one that you can recommend?
cant escape the lick
I've made hundreds of these lead sheets and I am in the process of making collections of songs. I figured out how to change the page numbers by going to Format and then Page Settings. Then, I convert to PDF. I am still trying out different programs for combining the PDF's into a single document. Has anyone else done this? In other words, I'm trying to make a printed Fake Fake Book.

U7 but it's also depends on what we are listening. I think best is to record it on pro software and see "waves".

Hi Julian, congratulations on your video review. I am writing to you because I would like to buy an electronic wind instrument, but I can't figure out which one would be the best choice for me and I am asking for your advice. I will just tell you that for 7 years I studied and played the flute and sometimes I enjoyed playing the alto sax that was at home. I would like an instrument that is flexible in use and that has realistic sounds inside (the ones on the nes1 seem a bit basic to me). Thank you and congratulations again
None that I know of has realistic sounds, but the Aerophone and the EWI 4000/5000 are generally regarded as the best options. Also the very pricey Nurad
Im a bassoon player, and there's 7 buttons for my left thumb alone and 4 for my right thumb.😢
Count bubbas revenge sax soli
What an awesome sound! So full and warm. Ergonomics are probably a nightmare compared to Selmer but the sound is so worth it!
Your sax looks like it's on life support
shirtless Hisoka 😂
Any thing played on a Buescher sounds good!
That ai photo of Mr.Sax is scary lol
Oh man, I’m usually pretty careful about not using ai photos but that came up on Google images and I failed to notice. Good eye!
@@julianbrezon It looks incredibly real except for the "bari". I wouldn't have noticed either
You forgot the octave keyy
I was waiting for someone to notice

One of my favorite solos and tune: ua-cam.com/video/iEYFVWqG0ak/v-deo.html
Very jazzy I love it
Thanks for this OFC I FOUND IT AFTER I GAVE UP ON SAX
It very similar on clairnet, we have around 20-26 buttons.
Off the top of my head we have 24, 7 tone holes including the thumb, 4 pinky keys each hand, 1 sliver key each hand, 4 side keys, 3 throat tone keys.
Lovely subtones👍🎷
Thanks, been working on my Hawkins sound
Dolphin shoals 100%
I can’t name many sax solos, but my favorite one was in one of my school’s marching band show.
Cool!
finally something useful on this app. thanks choef
You're welcome! Let me know what other music theory things you'd like to see explained!
So is the brass just chipping off or is a design you got on you sax? 🎷
It’s a 1955 Selmer Mark VI. You’ll see a lot of them with the lacquer coming off like this. The brass itself is fine! One this age with 100% lacquer intact might cost $20,000+
Saxophone seems like one of those instruments there's no chance of learning on your own, I wanna learn trumpet as my first non percussion instrument since it seems the most straightforward, I can tell where to grab it lmao
Saxophone is only hard for the first week or so and then gets easier!
Nice
Thanks!
This is a weird question to ask. A piano has 88 keys. How do we push them with only 10 fingers? Move your hands....
Feel free to not watch!
@julianbrezon Nah, I'll keep watching. I enjoy your videos. I'll probably just stop commenting on them since you clearly have a sensitive trigger.
I appreciate that! Anyway, everyone knows what a piano looks like. I made this video for the layperson who has never seen a sax up close and might not know how it works.
@@julianbrezon And i appreciate that ! I've never seen a Saxaphone up close before. But its super cool!! 💓💓
Man. To much shilling in this video 😅
Sorry I’ll tone it down next time 🤣
Thought you said said sex tip at first😭😭 I was like cuh wtf
There’s a lot of fingering and tonguing either way, tbf 😂😂
I love this video. Someone I knew said the same thing about photography. It's not the equipment it's the artist.
I absolutely hate the whole 3d printed mouthpiece thing……and people focusing on that….
I know some very good players who sound good on them but it was definitely a marketing blitz
@ like people buying all the “Better Sax” merch…..I can’t stand how that guy shills his stuff all the time….
You're gonna think I'm nuts, but I've never seen that etude book before. Is it any good?
Solid intermediate etudes, yeah!
What etude book?
Rossari
Be honest! You do not need a cat to being a good sax player?
Everybody wants to be a cat…
The only complete tutorial for musescore that shows how to create good real book style lead sheet. Thank you. Learnt a lot
Is this mic suitable for a violin?
It won’t mount properly. Check out the Xvive U9 for a similar mic for violin
I like using this app called ‘the Clave’ instead of a metronome sometimes, or when I’m working on specific Brazilian or Cuban music. I also like one called ‘Shruti Box’ which plays a drone for working on intonation and intervals. I often use it with ‘the Clave’ or a metronome to accelerate my descent into madness.
Yeah man! I love the clave settings in drum genius’ metronome. I’ll check that app out. I also like practice drones like Shruti
Pocket composer is a good reference for scales and cords. Have a great day.
I wish drum genius would allow a further reduction of tempos. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
That’s fair. A lot of the grooves wouldn’t sound right so sometimes its better to find one with a lower default tempo
Just say it…it’s snake oil
do you know if it works for Bb clarinet?
It might not clamp on easily but the mic would probably sound fine
Does the battery die after long time no use ?
So far it holds a charge with a few weeks between uses but lithium batteries should be stored around half charged for long term
That was a perfect example of how a really skilled person makes a professional looking sheet. Thanks, very useful!
Thanks! Please watch the new version for musescore 4 if you have updated to the new version!
Excellent video. Great intro to Jazz lead sheets, just what I was looking for. Liked and subbed
Glad you liked it.
Would this mic be suitable for trumpet?
I've seen other people say it works well on trumpet!
Did you plug this directly into your interface with no processing or is there some audio processing compression or anything
Direct
This NUX NES-1 is quite interesting in term of latest technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, speaker, color screens and text display), which make approaching to Roland AE-30. But I am not sure about sound quality comparing to AE-30, AKAI EWI Solo or EWI5000,... and are 50 sounds enough? Can we wirelessly play MIDI sounds on computer [DAW] from NES-1? Also, we still hear too much the fingering noise, do we? Thanks for all info sharing!
No the wireless is only audio. And I think the sounds are not great
@@julianbrezon Thanks for the info :)
All Star by Smash Mouth?.. Never heard of it till you mentioned it, seriously - and I listen to music a lot! I guess we don't all listen to pop radio ;-) Besides that; good video, thanks!
That's the same way color theory works, not prescriptive but to understand what was done.
