Rapture goes hand-in-hand with zionism, and I would love to read or listen to an Orthodox perspective on that, as well. I am a catechumen. When I read Romans, Jesus’s parable of the servants of the vineyard, or so many verses throughout the prophets, it just seems abundantly clear that the Church is Israel. Thank you for this, simply thinking of Christ’s return gives me return to repentance ☦️

Indeed, in this last age when the intellects of men have become triumphant and proud, few are left who comprehend the Father will never reveal Himself to a Proud Heart, but only to those who submit their inner Being to His care Only, and find No Satisfactions in anything but Christ, the Light of His Knowledge.

I cannot stress enough how true this is. I am currently out of work and have been for a few years, and I feel perpetually tired. It doesn't take long to get to a state where you can't be bothered to put even a finger to the plow, or even raise your hand towards it. I am trying to do that now under the guidance of my Spiritual Father and my family, and others in my life, and I am endlessly frustrated how hard it is amongst light daily chores that shouldn't exhaust me nearly as much as they do
