2003 Ford Lightning WRECKED by Yellow Truck Rubbish TOTALED!?
You may have noticed an absence of the Ford Lightning on the channel, no car shows, no cruises, no burnouts. Here is the story of why. This video was inspired by Rob Pitts the ultimate story teller. The BuiltMikesWay household was deeply saddened by his passing. F^@$ CANCER.

I do the best I can and then go back and fix the mistakes I made along the way. I can't wait to keep going on this build and see it all come together. Testing coming soon! Thanks for watching!

When you're dealing with such an expensive intricate part, you want to be sure you've done it correctly. I think I've succeeded.... I really hope that's true. After spilling the gas all over the place (10 times) I was pretty happy that I didn't have the same issue with the oil.... lol. That was a quick oil change. Alot of things came together (finally) to get this thing running. I was amazed it fired right up; I must be doing something right (despite so many things going awry). I love the 4l60's, 4l80's, and the 700r4. The vehicles I've ridden/driven in has had those transmissions along with others but those are the ones I the name of I've had experience with. My mother had an 98 Chevy Astro AWD with a 4.3 Vortec and 4l60. I don't how many times as a kid when we'd be traveling the numerous times on the highway and we'd be tipping the scales of 100-110+ mph in it. My stepdad had an 88 C2500 with a 350 TBI and 700r4. It had a million miles on it when he sold it only rebuilt once and ran like it had only a quarter of the miles at best. My stepdad now has a C1500 with a 350 Vortec and a 4l60. Has around 150,000 miles. Runs like nobody's business and is pretty quick. It'll hit 60 from a dead stop in les than 5 seconds if you don't spin the tires the whole way to 50mph first. My dad had an 96 C2500 with the 6.5 Detroit diesel and 4l80. Only issues it had was the torque converter. At least until 6 months after getting it the crank decided it no longer liked being free and locked up going down the road. Interestingly enough the underneath of the truck was splattered with oil which wasn't like it was before but there was no splatter on the road.
I’m gonna add a trans cooler soon too. That’s an interesting location. What about the plastic splash guard?
@@wouldntyouliketoknow1477 I'm going to cut my a little where the vertical indentions are, I've seen lots of ppl do it like that. It will probably be in my next video or two. Thanks for asking, good luck with your project.
