    Great video. Just please kill the music, it detracts from the video and your music choice is bad in any case.

    Enjoyed the vid! You were really somebody if you were cruising in that car in 1948! It has that Harley Earl elegance. I like the 1948 model over the 1949 because of the cool "command center" instrument pod and the smaller, finer grille. The combination of cream/deep red/black is a really classy combo. I envy that you get to drive it. I love cars from the late '40's-early '50's.

    I would be concerned about that low oil pressure. That is not normal.

  • @michaelbenardo5695
    @michaelbenardo5695 Рік тому

    Some tips on dealing with 6 volts. First, you MUST use 1 gauge battery cables. You CAN'T use chain auto parts store 4 gauge cables. 6 volt starters draw twice the amps as 12 volt starters, hence, the need for thick battery cables. Second, you MUST use a Group 2 or larger battery for the typical American-made car. Trying to use skinny battery cables and an undersized battery will result in slow cranking and no-starts that many today think is normal with 6 volts. Exceptions are small-engined cars like the 4 cylinder Willys, Studebaker Champion, Nash 600, VW. 2 gauge battery cables and a Group 1 battery are adequate for those. Also, on these, and just about any car made before the 2000s, do not try to use 0W 20 or 5W 30 motor oil. You will have low oil pressure.
