I think it's also worth pointing out that in the first fight, when Thor KOed Kratos and it was venly matched, Thor was sober. This second fight isn't quite Thor is top fighting form. He has spent a fair amount of the time since he last fought Kratos drinking and moping, whereas Kratos has spent all of that time fighting and getting better.

Heimdall doesn't strike during those openings in the first round because those are the moments when Kratos is overwhelming his senses. That's what the spear was made for. And since Heimdall isn't a fighter like Bulder or Thor, Kratos was able to basically force him to focus solely on dodging and not be able to strike back.

Thor had round 2 for certain, but I think it's a tad telling that the moment he takes a single punch that wasn't held back he runs away. He learned he actually didn't want that fight after all.

Heimdall reminds me of Hermes form GoW3. Both are faster and able to evade attacks easily but both of them are cocky and lack discipline that Kratos has. And both of them breaks after one slip up, which Kratos can turn into his favor. After that the advantage is gone and the fights are one sided. But it makes sense, neither of them are warriors but have rely on great speed /intuition to get an edge.

Idk if it’ll be possible but it’d be cool if you can do the Ghost of Tsushima duels if you haven’t. The one vs. your best friend and the one at the very end (don’t wanna spoil even though it’s about 4-5 years ago)
