Enjoyed your video...have a Blessed safe week😊
I’m at 13 minutes in to the video and didn’t get any helpful informative info. Good job
Thx bro you helped me decide what company to start with to get my CDL thx again
Yah you do you. Haters will always hate. You keep running and make your money. The real reason they are negative about a company is because they were shitting employees. No drive and no ambition. Drive on bro.
When i drove for crs we had super singles i jack knife my truck volvo. I was empty rain n wind.
I'm with JoyRide Logistics, making $1,635 gross salary company driver pay. Take in bank $1,303.97 net. Drive a dedicated route with dry van easy safe lane from Goodyear AZ to Lamirada, CA. Then, I pick up an Amazon load back to Phoenix AZ. I'm saving $1k a week to buy my own truck. I'm thinking of working at JoyRide for the next 2 years until I get my own truck, then considering Hirsch.
YOU LOOK STRESSED OUT! Instead of chasing the money the money is chasing u with them truck payments smh. Do what u have the do cause in the end its about you.
Appreciate the feedback I wouldn’t say stressed just was tired and a bit irritated waiting so long to be unloaded
I quit prime cause they’re putting inward facing cameras in all the trucks.
I’ve been hearing about cameras since I was at Prime but I quit back in 2023 after my year was up and they’re they finally doing it so it’s no surprise to me really.. Hirschbach has cameras too I’m not a fan but surprisingly I never got any calls about something they’ve since on my in cab camera
Hey bro great video im looking to join the company. Whats the pre employment drug test method they do?
Hair follicle & urinalysis
You are so on point my friend great video Love it I Drive as well , as for your miles or pay that’s your business be safe bro .
Damn do h.b even got freight to keep you moving otr they call me they told me they got a lot of Freight
They got freight they’ll keep you moving just gotta know how to manage the total miles you run each week since they pay off a sliding scale.. how I like to try to do my runs is I don’t do any loads over 1,000 total miles
@@mvpmasterjay Why no loads over 1000?
@CoSlo24 it’s hard to explain in a comment but its basically how i see when payroll ends, you still have a fixed cost that’s deducted every week, and it’s best to have more loads on your settlement.. so if you have a load that’s 1300 miles total and it takes like 3-4 days to deliver that’s already half your week gone depending on what day you pick up that load payroll ends Tuesday midnight every week
Man that camera not really that bad in the truck right
@mauricejones1996 it’s not.. I’ll just say I haven’t gotten any warnings or threats of termination but then again I keep my phone on a mount I’ll just leave it at that
What would you say is the bad thing about OTR in your experience that makes you wanna go dedicated? Missing family from home? Missing Friends? Being alone too long? The money not worth it/not enough? Just curious as a new driver starting out soon.
Little bit of everything you stated but for me mainly the money ain’t worth it. OTR drivers should be making waaayy more especially with the sacrifices we make
@@mvpmasterjay makes sense. As a new driver and coming out of 10 years customer services and 5 years in cubicle type office jobs, I personally can’t wait to be alone, on my own schedule-ish, traveling on the road, and just that whole vibe. Maybe it’ll get old later and I’ll start to miss family n friends eventually but I’m at the point where I’m begging for a career atmosphere like OTR 😅😅😅
@notyouraveragebear9326 oh it’ll be great for you then save that money up as much as you can while being OTR . The freedom is great don’t get me wrong I love how I don’t have somebody breathing down my neck 24/7 watching my computer screen.
@@mvpmasterjay or customers and their holier than thou attitudes just because they don’t know how to turn their desktops off and on and think they’re the only customer in the entire building that needs help. Smh
Damn did the get new quallcomms?
Are you talking about Hirschbach? Hirschbach uses Samsung tablets Prime I know uses Qualcomm. But I have the same tablet in my Hirschbach truck
OTR is garbage too much hell with the shippers and receivers I did it because I had to
Same I just did my 2 years OTR I believe that’s enough and I’ve seen enough time for me to go regional then local
It's always the loads that get you home that gives you the most problems lol. I showed my wife you're video she was laughing because I say the exact line 😂😂😂😂
Dude it’s soo true 😂 it got even worse when I made it to my receiver home ended up having an overage of a pallet and they left it in my trailer 🤦🏾♂️
@mvpmasterjay Yeah man my home load is 234 miles and I can't deliver till tomorrow. I think I'm done with this company. Good luck to you sir.
Ohh I know that feeling I dealt with that due it being a Walmart load of course 🤦🏾♂️ best of luck to you too
You gotta understand otr as a company driver is a growing period. If you ever decide to go full owner operator and control your own loads etc. the best thing to do is go through the struggle learn being out here. It’s a hard growing pain but man once you buy a truck you’ll luck back and say “this was worth it” local guys or guys doing local for years are committed to working for someone forever Notice how nobody in the comments owns a truck lol. Who ever goes full independent waits this time out will be on top when the market booms again. People don’t see the real process the struggle, the grind to dream. I was this guy now I laugh at local people
I understand and respect that but you also gotta consider not everyone wants to own a truck myself included . I don’t look down on folks who work local because I understand and I also don’t look down on folks who work OTR because I understand that too. Different strokes for different folks.
@@mvpmasterjay my advice to you nobody will take of you better than yourself. At this time and year it takes more then being an employee to retire. In this industry relying on a company to retire you is not being optimistic, give it 4-5 years and you will understand what I’m saying. Takes time to see the picture.
@@mvpmasterjay looking down on people and seeing people complain and do nothing is 2 totally different things… don’t take my word for it. Go ask any local/otr vets how it’s been see what they have to say. 8/10 say “I wish I went and got my own truck when I could of and gave it a shot” just because you own a truck doesn’t mean you are otr lol. You are not getting the big picture. It’s like real estate or the stock market. You either struggle or succeed there is no in between
@pimpy_og9128 that’s true A.I going to take over soon even in trucking I should go learn a skill in A.I. that’s where the country going
@@mvpmasterjay be ready for AI is the key. Build a company now to invest in the future or get left behind brother. I see in the videos you wanna be successful I’m telling you start a business. It might not be trucking fine that nitch and run with it much love
Get away from otr man. If you divide out the hours your away from home by your pay it's less then minimum wage. I'm lucky I'm in the Midwest currently doing short regional runs out of Wisconsin to Indiana/Ohio and back hauling non hazardous tankers. Idk if you have a family but if you do your not making enough to be away from them that much. If you got at least a year of experience find a local job. OTR for 20 years will literally shorten your life span
Appreciate the feedback I’m looking for regional for now then local within next 2-3 years I’ve been doing OTR for 2 years now I believe that’s enough being away from home btw I do have a child definitely need to be more involved
@@mvpmasterjay when kids are young those are the most precious years man. U never get them back. Otr is not a healthy way to live. Good luck to you on your journey put yourself and your family before anything else
@bencross5332 very true I appreciate your words
💯💯💯💯💯
@bencross5332 💯
Got out of OTR 3 years ago....don't miss it one bit
First & foremost congratulations on the transition out of OTR I will be in the same boat very soon
@@mvpmasterjay good luck with whatever you decide to do
@allenleavell2847 much appreciate brotha
If you are from the south Florida Davis express
I looked them up I’m not sure yet I really want to haul fuel eventually
Was considering Hirschbach until you mentioned front facing camera. Hell no would I ever work for a company that has that sh*t 😅 that’s straight up invading someone’s privacy
Lol can’t blame you it seems like of companies are trying to add it to their fleets
@@mvpmasterjay that’ll be the day I’ll be getting my own truck if it comes down to that 😅
Alot of companies are doing that. I'm at Roehl phase 2. They have cameras as well. But drove year n six months 14 yrs ago.
Do they do hair test?
Yes they do
love your attitude , but damn you cant say 50 k , 60 , 75k, 80k,
About $1500/week average
Thanks. Love you man. Stay Positive! Let your light shine for the Most High
What day does the pay period end
@rickyfarley1230 Midnight every Tuesday
Don’t they give you a fuel surcharge?!?
All you clouds, call yourself truck drivers and you can't even drive a manual transmission. What a fucking joke
What was the name of that sonic song?
ua-cam.com/video/tFESwU-qNBQ/v-deo.htmlsi=ucPirO1MhsD-prxq
Can we see your pay checks then
I appreciate your comment but I don’t show my paychecks on the internet sorry
Chez got fired from swift as they thought he touched his cell phone in one of his videos.
I want to go there, but honestly, these bills at home wont allow me to start over right now. Im at 65k with overtime. Idk if i can take a cut down to 35-45k
I’m coming over to Hirschbach bro. And most of the ones that are bitter like that are just steering wheel holders not truck drivers. Prob solar powered too
I’m not too worried about trolls lol most of them don’t anything better to do anyway 😂
Do you choose the area u want to deliver to or u just go wherever
I’m OTR so I drive wherever they send me we usually stay East of Colorado unless you ok with going out West
can i offer you some advice ? save your money . dont eat out , buy a breakfast cooker and a foreman and buy your food and cook it everyday . will save you hundreds of dollars weekly and have a plan . dont just go with the flow ..time is the 1 thing money cant buy , if you plan on trucking for a full life career i would advised against it due to you will lose your whole lif e, your basically selling your soul to sit behind the wheel for half the day , its terrible for your mind and body . i would suggest being OTR for 6 months to a year tops and in that time save 40-50k and work from ya laptop getting some sort of certification for a different career or some sort of college online getting degree on your free time so when you quit you will have around 40-50k in the bank and a new career where your life wont be wasted and or go local and find a good local job etc , but trucking as a full life career is not a good idea man , its a waste of life . spend your time wisely while your in the truck or before you know it months will pass you by and you would notice that you accomplished nothing but waste time and money while making somebody else richer , so if you gona be a truck driver then make sure your not just a truck driver ,, make sure your doing something on the side and taking care of your mind and body .
I definitely hear that I appreciate the advice
I love this advice
How do u do ur driver recap?
I only drive about 8 1/2 - 9 hours each day to gain good recaps
I am coming on board in April. Like to get any help u can give me!
your volume is sometimes way to low
Yo bro can we chat? I’m interested in joining lease OTR I’m a runner at the company I’m at now but I’ve been negative with my checks for two weeks now
Instagram name is the same
All they have is night driving and then switching you to daytime driving and then night time driving after a while you will turn into nut case
I am at prime and I am thinking about going lease, but I am not taking any holiday or home time for a year. I will document my journey. Maybe I go company first 😂
I say go for it ! When you go lease an emergency fund is a must! Best of luck to you bro. Stick with Prime as long as you can there’s going to be days that’ll frustrate you but just stay the course
@@mvpmasterjay thank you bro 💪🏾
I am about to start tnt now, I am documenting my progress 😊
Just be safe with documenting your journey because Prime is watching everybody on UA-cam lol
@@mvpmasterjay thanks for the warning bro , I will be careful 😊💪🏾
Young man please don’t allow negativity from others disturb your inner peace. I’m speaking from experience from dealing with people like that in the trucking industry when I use to have a trucking channel years ago. Don’t let them disturb your inner peace. As long as you’re creating content that you enjoy, that’s all that matters.
I appreciate your energy and comment 🫶🏾
Are you lease purchase driver
So since you’re doing lease. You can decline loads?
Yes you can
How much can you take home ofter expenses
The average
@@marvinrobinson9289 recruiter said average is 15-2k
Does Swift listen to you on the camera? Did you sign some kind of release form when you started working there?
Swift doesn’t have cameras in their trucks
Better to be an employee than lease with Swift. When you lease...you get all of the problems and none of the money.
You boring just drive your truck
But you watching my video f**k outta here
@@mvpmasterjayand you know how to communicate.
