Yes,Batt should be sealed from both sides
Does the intumescent mastic break down the resistance of the insulation of the cables?
It's a water based acrylic mastic,I highly doubt so mate.
How long would it last un butterd
maybe around 30 mins, but idk if there's still smoke protection. actually I dont think there's any unbuttered batt in use anymore.
