A review of some of my trichos and some random questions and ideas. Any help you guys can lend would be appreciated!
That one that is very blue and very fat looks a bit like a Scolopicola
Probably a long spine Peruvian Torch
*Bridge-Jess-Eye :)
Very nice collection! do you use a shade cloth how many hours of sun do they get?
Bridgesii of sorts.
What soil should I use? I heard just 3/4 regular potting soil and 1/4 perlite ist that good for San pedros? 🙂
7 yr old video i know, but still impressive collection. You are about like me, i got alot of cacti, but dont really know all the scientific names. Blue mytrle, san pedro, trichocereus.. thats about as in depth as i get. I like cacti, but dont really care what specific one it is. If its cool looking, then i like it haha
T. scopicola is the name your not sure of 10:28
Pack A Noi
You got a bunch of hybrids, they're all mutants
Nice one. How much time have the Cactis you show at 1.27?
Nice! I just sent out a big Sacred Succulents order to get my collection started!
Very jelly bro
Don't you plant them in the ground? The ones I plant in the ground grow much bigger and thicker then in any pot
Thank you, great taste in cacti choice.
what kind of pots are these?
The yellow spikes or leafs . Are almost always a indication that it’s a Peruvian Variety type,
Peruvian torch
Cool
Lindos😍
The color of most fo these cacti is somewhat off...is this due the video settings? or do they really look pale olive green-ish? I guess they get way to much heat and sun. They look like malnourished laboratory animals.
Hello are you willing to sell any of the fatter ones with short spines?
so instead of calling it pc like everyone else you call it pp
Great collection there! Do you, or can you recommend a site, ever help people determine the ID of a cactus and what its ailment would be? We are renting a place with some awesome cactus around but one in particular - looks like a San Pedro - is drying badly from the tops. Like dead wood dried. Should the dead part get cut off, long enough to cut off dead part and replant remainder? Or what do I do to save this cactus? I have searched internet and when I saw your video, I hope you might help. Thanks!
Nice collection. Hopefully they are still doing well.
I'm sure they are. Once they start growing they can be left alone like in the wild. No need for watering or anything else
Looks like a bad arse bridgesioid / bridgesii cross, the spinetion bundled togerth in new growth and just in general looks like something u would get from a open pollinated bridgesii. Good stuff.
6:55 that's a Bridg...
That's a Trichocerus Peruvianus. It has the brown/orange mature thorns that yellow at the base and turn brown at the tip when they're prmature; it displays very prominent bluing on the skin, it has psychoactivity, those are all trademarks of a peruvianus. Plus, It's not fat enough to be a macrogonus, and cuzcoensis don't turn blue like that unless they are hybrids with macrogonus or peruvianus.
Looks Macrogonus
Vote Pedro!
Bridg jeesi eye
Killer garden
By the way bridgesii is pronounced bridges-e-i, and the ch in pachanoi is a k sound not a ch like chalk.
Very accurate identification
مساء الخير أنا من بغداد لدي صبار سان بيدرة واحدة عمرها ٢٥ وحملت زهرة واحدة خلال هذا الوقت كيف اجعلها تزهر
Looks like you like radiation
Where did you get these??
Can you cut the babies off and plant? Thanks
Why were all of them terminating at the tips?
would a cacti like this live thru a Virginia winter? i occasionally see a person's house who has a cacti garden and its seems to live thru the winter...what i see tend to be prickly pear cacti....maybe they can live but some others cant.....
They won’t make it through a freeze unfortunately.
I obtained pachanoii from two completely different sources but both are identical AND I think indistinguishable from your juules giant ...yes including color. But I can't presume they are anything but "PC clone"
Before I die ima have a garden just like yours! Very Nice!!!
Very nice plants. Thanks for sharing and educating!
Cuzco peruv hybrid
Night blooming Cereus Peruvianas need water! They are not like regular cacti. One UA-cam channel took cuttings, hardened them off for 3 days, dipped in hormone then watered every 3 days. These cacti also do better in dabbled shade. They will turn yellow in too much sun same as my tricocereus cacti.
How can you tell all that! I have San pedro and sure of that but I just received a cutting that I'm struggling to identify. I think it's either bridgassi or Peruvian torch. .
Is there a roof over them / do you worry about rain?
Of all the vids I've watched no1 seems to say how old it's gotta be till it can be consumed??
Always wait for mine to get 3 ft tall and then cut two feet off
Echinopsis peruvianus
Damned nice collection. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up and subscribed!
