U should of put a couple drops of gas not either and if either way way less
Well it wouldn’t have stayed running either way because the carbs needed cleaning
4:52 that was nice of them to come pre dented too 😂
Yea top quality parts supposedly 🤔
@tjvalleygarage we both know those come with about half the gage steal as the oem quarters too
Unbelievable amount of time. Why not just buy a rust free bed from down south and save yourself 50 hours of work
It was the customer’s choice to do it at our shop and he was an old guy who didn’t care
@tjvalleygarage obviously didnt care when you quoted $6500 😂 id feel like a criminal charging an elderly person that amount but hey i guess he signed the paperwork for it right?
What color did you use to paint this celica, I really like it and wanna find the match to paint mine.
Whatever was the original paint code, we just changed all the metallics to be as course as we had to make it super sparkly and have a nice effect.
Amazing car
Bent Ski. Rotted Fuel lines.. Seat needing some work Little sticky clutch... What esle could be more fun. haha Beater Sled at it's bed. imagine if you could bring it back to new.. :D I have a few too.
@@otahu26 you bet! Don’t forget all the purple paint that flaked off the hood from the sun 😂 It’s been well used for sure 👍
What size are those tires/wheels? 15’s & 16’s are for Go … 17’s & 18’s are for show. My 2000 GT 386,000+ miles 5-speed still gets up and goes.
Hell yeah, somebody’s gonna pay big money for that
You sure got your boots pretty dirty doing this project.
@@robertaikema3241 yep it was quite the experience to say the least!
@@tjvalleygarageyour winter boots I meant and did you manage to get them clean again.
@ oh you meant literally 😂
@@tjvalleygarageyes I did.
Bro, a few weeks ago we’ve sent emails to look for a collab with you. Please let me know if you’re interested 🙌🏻 Thank you

Just found your channel and have been scrolling backwards to see all of your previous posts. What a great channel, the content is awesome and you do great work. Looking forward to all of your future posts. Too bad you're so far away from me, I've got a car I'd like restored. Love the MG!
@@footdctrable thanks man, I really appreciate the kind words it means a lot!
Eine wirklich sehr gute Arbeit und das Resultat ist bestens! A really good job and the result is great!
I would rebuild the fuel pump, it is easy and cheap.
@@davidbrennan5 yea probably a good idea. For now it’s running good though 👍
@@tjvalleygarage Those 600's were good engines, very reliable. Check the carb boots and make sure they are not cracked.
You have to squirt mixed gas down the spark plug holes. Probably have to do that a few times before it goes...
Yea I was gonna do that but I don’t think we had any fuel left in the Jerry can lol
Impressive work. It's wonderful to see a father and son working together.
@@Philipfougere thanks appreciate it!
Size of the rims
Son I’d lucky to have a dad like you…
Yea he’s the best! Learning lots from my dad
All ok except the awful music
Sweet video bud makes me miss my old wedge chassis definitely gonna have to get another 🤘🏻
@@Thatclappedwegdechassis thanks man 💪
Nice repair. What is the indicative cost of this sort of job?
This one was around $1500 CAD in the end
I have a t sport 2004 done 235000 still drives like new. Lots of good things to say about it. Love it 👍💪
it's still got lots of life left
Yea absolutely 👍
Nice

A lot of work and a lot of steps to make the finished project. Excellent job and great video!
@@captnkarl4401 thanks appreciate it!
Big thumb down for the filming, editing, talking, but mostly for the loud annoying noise (music i guess)
Wouldn't it be easier to just spend a few minutes removing the headlights?😂
Probably haha but we didn’t really need to. Was easier to mask off the car and do it all on it
Oh god! That music is grim. Had to mute it.
I would have removed that whole panel to give better access to the inside to strengthen it before tackling the outer repair. Decent job in the end.
@@philstevens9914 yea that would have been nice to do but it would have costed the customer more for labour. They just wanted it to cosmetically look better 👍
@@tjvalleygarage Different story when it's on the clock and your dealing with some tight arsed freemason that wants to do it on the cheap! 🙂
Nice two tone paint job
6:29 i have a 2004 celica gt. (Absolutely love everything about it btw, you just drive it wrong) mines auto too) i have the action package, and i have plenty of visibility because the wing doesnt block my view, i see right through the bottom. Really nice car. I love her. I have the spectra blue mica color and i named her sapphire.
Stop with the stupid music.
I wish I learned how to do body work when I was younger 😢
Please spare us from the insanely annoying music
take the stupid mouse ladder/ full width mud flap off. they don't prevent rock damage to tow/trailers
is this a 1zz or 2zz?
@@Kaizagade pretty sure it’s the 1zz 👍
What is with the music? Annoying to say the least. Just stop with the music. PLEASE!
It looks interesting, but the music is killing it. Sorry I cannot watch anynmore.
Great to see this standard of work and attention to detail ~ pity that the interior of the panel was not masked off to prevent overspray to the wiring loom.
It's pretty cool that you work as a father and son team. Excellent repair!
@@johngassmann9581 appreciate the support!
Why aren’t you doing the work and your dad doing the filming?
Mainly because this was a pretty specialized repair and my dad has more experience in doing it. Plus it was for a customer and we were on a time crunch
The music is interfering with the subtitles and that is annoying as I want to know about the repair and not have to put up with music.
Great work
Running a vehicle with no battery is a quick and easy way to destroy the diodes in the alternator. A major no no.
@@dmcnamara9859 honestly I’ve never heard of that but after looking it up myself that makes sense. Ya learn something new everyday!
Is that an MGB on the ramp behind you guys?
Indeed it is! You’re the first person to notice haha
Great job looks amazing 👍
Nice repair on an old tub of an RV. It needs all new graphics as the sun has chewed up what's there. Not many shops would even play around with this as it can be a can of worms.
My pal that works with glass uses a small specific metal roller for repairs. When acetone can't clean it enough,he just sticks in a metal can and sets on fire so the roller continues to roll again. For fill in patches, he uses a brown premix fiberglass-muck which he nicknamed " monkey snot" years ago. He's used that on Corvettes,PWC,boats and yachts, etc for decades.
That’s hilarious 😂 we use “kitty hair filler” which is probably similar to “monkey snot”. We also use rollers especially when fabricating fibreglass parts in a mold
Rollers for sure. He has a fleet of Waverunners as Rentals. He actually makes more money on them when customers damage them quite often. Plastic wrap to pop molds off good hulls and for the area PWC/Boat New outlets that he does jobber repairs for. When new/evolved hulls come out,he is always making new molds. He's been doing Glass work before/after he graduated from a University in 1970s; originally as a way to finance his social life then.
