Did the slide not lock back?
It did not. Not in this short at least.
Happens on mine as well, thumb riding the slide lock. Much like my Sig 229 🤷♂️
Why didn't it lock back? I better not purchase it if it doesn't do what it's supposed to do.
@@ProudChicanoHappened to me but it was because I was riding the slide release and causing it to not slide back, user error. The gun is overall reliable and should work as it’s supposed to.

Could the stock tube be replaced to use an ar style adjustble buffer tube?
Unfortunately not for this set up. The buffer tube is more longer compared to the AR buffer tube
You'd have to get an a5 buffer tube and shorten a regular buffer while running a flat buffer spring. I believe that would work but haven't got around to trying it.

It definitely would be. With how smooth it shoots right out of the box, it would be ideal or any of the canik firearms are great too.
I finally picked this one up and took it to range right out of the box. I shoot 200 rounds without a single hiccup! Very accurate pistol.

does yours shoot low? I aim for the head and use combat hold but it keeps hitting neck area

I’m hoping someone is able to help me out! I’m looking at getting this firearm but naturally I find it severely difficult to find a good left handed iwb holster for the caniks, and even more difficult to find one to compensate for a flashlight or optic. If anyone is able to help me out I would greatly appreciate it😊
So this one is pretty versatile for either a left handed or right handed shooter. There’s a good amount of videos of how to swap the mag release to make it fully capable for a left handed shooter. This one here doesn’t have an optic mount, but the sights are still solid. The other newer one is the mete which comes with a optic cut out as well as a ambidextrous slide release
And its optics cut!
Make a leatherholster yourself. Fits like a glove, doesnt scratch the finish and you can set it up for your specific build. For me still the best thing to give to your gun. Wetwelded leather will never let you down and wont break because it got too much sun, its too cold or any other circumstances. May be oldscool but old is not always bad.
Mine is the M12AR B1, based on the M16A2, has the front iron sight. But it's exactly the same as this model. Here is the deal after 500 shell break in. It's a solid rifle. Just don't be like some on UA-cam trying to run all the cheapest loads, and complain the rifle sucks. Be a professional shooter and purchase/ stock quality shells... higher than 1325 for your defense tool . Then you won't need to worry about reviews by some tweaker in backwoods feral human land. Your kinetic projectile tool will operate just fine when you break it in... And use quality ammo.

We’ll eventually get our hands on one. We’ve seen pretty good results with the TTI and also seen people have issues

You may have to contact JTS directly to see if they sell the parts
@@Pewsociety I did speak with Charles at JTS and he was very helpful. They don't list parts on their site but some parts are available if you contact them. The reason for this is they had a problem with some people buying all the parts to try to resell them so they no longer list them.

id rather go with the METE sf cuz it has the optic cut, basically the same pistol.

I have one. It’s 100% reliable and has a perfect trigger. I put a light/laser on mine and keep it for home defense. Much much better than the Canik TTI Combat which fails to fire 20% of the time. The TTI isn’t good for defense, range, or anything else. It’s s POS.

@@CadeShimek because it sticks out there is no indent for it you have to search for the red dot if there would be an indent you could easily line it up with the iron sight

You want to melt it? Try putting some 2.75" - 1oz - Rifled Slug - 1600fps through it. I was just messing around and ran about 60-70 rounds of Troy ammo through it and I had a hell of a time getting the gas regulator out and all day I mean all day trying to get it clean. The barrel still has some marks in it. I'm going to try some chore boy if not O'well.
