Hello everyone. This channel is primarily focused on Strategy games. I love Stellaris, Anno 1800 and Hearts of Iron and plenty more. I have continued on playing right through the many releases up to Hearts of Iron IV, Stellaris, Victoria III, Europe Universalis IV. The two main games I play the most over recent years are Stellaris and Anno 1800. I also enjoy Distant Stars and have played Distant Stars II.

How about a mixed battleship fleet of 50/50 of saturator/plasma & artillery/tachyon. I'm curious to see how fleets would perform with a mixture of ship designs in the same class
Editing goes a very long way. It was about 10 mins in, and i just wanted to turn it off. It's so boring to watch. When you mention that you want to show us something(one example;the tech for habitats), just edit you to the next screen instead of having us wait while you look for it. Also, you kept mentioning habitability and then pointing towards stability, just made me face plam
Been loving the new megastructure origin. Im fairly new to the game, but ive gotten to the point where im producing over 3k energy credits a month by the midgame.
Why do you only use armor? You have no sheilds on your ships
My go to battleship is FAE+hangar core. Its just so versatile and only lacks the raw power vs 25x crisis fleets. Even then it does well enough. I do mix in some artillery battleships with tachyon lances, and fill the rest with missile/hangar cruisers and destroyers.
If I somehow got 100% shield hardness would my ship be immune to missiles and strikecraft?

How do you unlock this ship? the tradition tree only unlocks the swarmer.
personally my go to is all armor plus disruptor corvettes with disruptors and cloak. Once you get psionic shields add those. the cloak is so you can start the fight up close and not lose ships chasing the enemy through missile volleys.
why use all armour on quite a few of the late game ships?
How good are these Interdictor compared to Riddle Escorts (not taking the upkeep and initial cost into account)?

In my play through copying your empire settings, I got two pre-ftl planets nearby and not pre-sapient. Does that matter? When I sent my armies it said it's a hostile act.
The ai produces far to many arc furnaces to make total war empires viable anymore. I had -300 energy after a few wars
So, as we can understand through video, that is better combo is Nanite Carrier and Nanite Torpedo, because Neutron launchers dies like thrash.
I'm curious about a couple of things, in particular about the Riddle escort: 1. Wouldn't a missile+torpedo combo be more effective? Since you're already using shield bypassing torpedos, adding in marauder missiles seems like a pretty good choice as compared to autocannons+plasma. Plus they would make a good distraction for the PD. 2. Bypass weapons+torpedos. Since disruptors are so powerful, adding in four small ones should be very strong vs high evasion ships and in general. My concern is how would that build fare vs other FAs. Since the armor on the Battlecruisers is so thick and since they love running PD on their escorts, does that hard counter the torpedos?

It sounds like you are on 2% volume at the start of the video, can barely make out a voice
Picket corvettes with auto cannons, destroyers running kinetic weapons, hanger cruisers and battleships with plasma works just fine. Might add a missile slot to one or both. Unless the enemy is running lots of PD they cant defeat the strike craft and missiles by numbers alone and whatever shields get chewed through. Take the reduced efficiency on armor at the short range and just wait for them to get chewed through so plasma can do their thing. I like it and it’s simple. Plus a mod gives me access to 2 additional tiers of weapons that make it even better if I tech rush. So my late game extermination campaign against the lag goes off smoothly
Why is it that whenever I have upgraded to some of the weapons and proceeded to upgrade the nanite fleet, all of the ship class (Torpedoes, Corvette, Destroyer, if I'm remembering it correctly) turn into cruiser class? Can anyone explain it to me, I'm very confused.
How do you setup these mock fights?
I use console commands, whole bunch to build things quickly and get the resources, then use attackallfleets and they will attack each other.

No sure on the WW missile battleships, I prefer more alpha strike firepower, that big punch DPS. Giga Cannon is pretty good, even more so against ships with a lot of shields, maybe not so much against human players as we tend to use more armor.
Thanks for the great guide! I recently returned to Stellaris and your guide was very useful. Could you tell me what proportions of ships you use in the late game? Would it be normal to take 35% of corvettes, 15% of cruisers with a computer to rendezvous with missiles with corvettes fleet, 50% with battleships, half of which are artillery and half aircraft carriers and titans with them? Thank you in advance.
Alot of my fleet will be Battleships, I would say 60-70% at least, mix of Artillery and Carriers. You need that X slot firepower. Maybe 15-20% Cruisers, I like to use Torpedo Cruisers to rush in and unleash massive firepower with devastator torps. They also help to tank the damage from enemy fleets as they are much closer to them. The rest is Corvette fleets, disrupters with a mix of Flak/PD to swarm the enemy tank the alpha shots as they have 90% evasion so most miss, leaving your battleships free from too much damage earlier on. This also helps to reduce enemy strike craft, missiles, torps as the corvettes are swarming them shooting many down prior to reaching your Battleships.
Found a neat trick, if you take astro-miners as third civic, it gives you time to instead expand and look for perfect arc systems, while you upgrade every shitty systems with energy starbase, the civic only prevents you from building them, it does not remove them when their already constructed 😏 Did a tactical algoryth, gardian matrix and astro-miners in third, rolled the cybrex and nanotech upgraded, end game was a blast, even with all 25x crisis.
That is a neat trick, I will give that a go in my next multiplayer game.
the game has so many visually-great scenes, especially in your gameplay. why use some haunting generative snot as a thumbnail then?
Oh, I liked the image, but sometimes I use in game images but often I have spent so much time making the videos it is just easier to find an image online then try and go back through countless hours of video footage or wander through random save games trying to find the right image. It is very time consuming of which I only have limited time to devote to making a thumbnail. When I see a good image in game, I take a screen shot, but I get carried away making the videos I often forget.
@@tachyonlance1969 it just doesnt look like a "found" image. and if you did find it, it is sickening how far this low effort generative garbage has invaded every day life. in a few years people will look back at those glowy oversaturated dalle crap and belittle it.
How do i get the new nanotech battleship? I have all dlc...is it a tech? Do i have 2 research it?
You have to get the Nanotech Ascencion. You can pick Synetics as your 4th Ascencion Perk, this unlocks a situation to complete in which you get a number of events, the last one is where you can pick from the 3 new Machine Age Ascensions being Nanotech, Virtuality or Modularity, if you want the new Nanite Battleships (Interdictor) you need to pick Nanotech and then complete the Nanotech Ascencion tree or at least most of it, I forget which one if anyone of them give you the actual tech to research but I'm sure you can find it from here. Make sure you are on the 3.12.5 version which is the latest version of the game which you need to get the Nanite Battleship.
@@tachyonlance1969 Yeah, i have played 2 nanotexch games now. With cosmogenese as last perk. I cant build nanotech battleships. I See the ship in the ship Designer. But there is a Bug. I cant equip energy (reactor.. The first Module on the right sight) so i cant build one...i have All dlc, the latest Patch, no Mods....
Do you think you could make a summary video for the current meta build for each ship class and rank them vs each other? I just got into the game with the sale/free weekend and probably am not alone in being super confused on how to design ships and what to put on them Edit: i see you made one 2 months ago, if we could get another one with the latest dlc, it would be crazy appreciated! But the other is hopefully up to date enough!
That is a pretty good idea to give my opinion of what is the best weapons in each class. Only issue is each class can perform multiple roles which require different weapons. Such as a Cruiser which can be a close in Torpedo boat or it can be a long-range artillery ship or even a Carrier. I can try and get one done just not sure it will be done that soon as it would take some time to work it all out, test it. Certainly, a good idea though.

War exhaustion system needs a rework. Battle isn't even over and yet the war is.
Yes, they need to adjust it to account for Nanite losses which you can end the war in one battle if you lose a lot which is almost impossible not to do.
Did you have the archeotch perk when you did this? I want to know because that perk makes archeotch weapons better.
No I did not. I wanted to see how it goes without these kind of buffs.
@@tachyonlance1969 ok. I loved the vid tho. I can only assume that this info will lead to a new type of archeo weapon rush like the menacing corvette swarms of the Become The Crisis. Just imagine an artillery battery with a full set of driller drones and archeotech nano missiles on the interdictor. That is prob the new meta.
Very likely could be with the plus 33% damage. Plus, I think there is an Astral Plain option that gives another 15% damage to Archeotech weapons from memory.

I’ve begun mixing in carrier interdictor fleets with my FE mixed battlecruiser and escort fleets. The sheer number of strike craft they can dump into an engagement is ridiculous.
Oh yes it would be insane, get the best of both worlds with using nanites with FE fleets, one using nanite resources the other alloys.
Having tested these extensively, I can say that nanite battleships with the Archaeotech ascension perk are god-tier. The Torpedo build is still best, but instead of disruptors you run nanomissile cloud launchers, because in addition to the range (and only costing nanites) they do something VERY well, which is making sure your torpedoes make it through enemy point defense by oversaturating them with missiles. If you have the upgraded Ancient Pulse armor, you have more raw HP than dragonscale, and you're not as vulnerable to specific counters. Armor hardening on the utility slot seals it, closing of the ship's major vulnerability to armor bypass weapons. I run the PD build on the nanite swarmers with tier 4 flak not just because it does decent dps, but because it makes your fleet immune to torpedoes and missiles, of which cloaked frigates are the only counter to a monofleet of them. The torpedo combat computer enhances explosive damage, so that goes for the nanomissiles as well. Keeping your fleets of nanite interdictors and swarmers separate helps, since you can stack admirals that get bonuses to explosive weapon damage to really launch the killing potential of the fleet into the stratosphere. Compliment the interdictor fleet with a titan. Subspace Snare really helps offset Nanomissiles forcing disengages.
Yes, I did not use the Archaeotech ascension for this test as I wanted to see how it went with no big bonuses. But yes, those Strike Craft and Missiles will be 33% more effective in terms of damage with this ascension. Very powerful build. The PD for the Swarmers is great, they don't last that long but long enough to give you a decisive edge in battles, if you even needed. I like the idea of using the nano missiles to saturate enemy PD.

Oh, only a mothership, why not. I guess a Nanite version of a Titan or Juggernaut. Imagine that, giving aurora buffs on Nanites as well, which we can do with normal Titans or FE Titans, the offensive Aurora's apply to all enemy ships. You can always add a Titan to a Nanite fleet to get defensive buffs.
I've not seen any good playthrough of the Nanite ascension. But the Nanite Interdictors are pricey at 7.5k each. Do you have recommended benchmarks for monthly nanite gain by what year ? And at what year would you realistically be able to start pumping out a sizeable number of Interdictors ?
No, I don't, they only been out a few days. Others who have commented have said it is no problem getting a lot of nanites, I know some players get millions. The basics is rushing unity early, forgot tech rush, it is now unity rush to get to your ascension early. Then rush more tech and expand out once you have you ascension as if you expand to much too early you increase tradition costs too much, making it too expensive and too long to get.

Ever since The Machine Age DLC was released, combat seems to be favoring fleet diversity a lot more. It seems to be beneficial to have a mix of artillery & heavy weapons with screening fleets that can tank enemy artillery and fight enemy screening fleets. I find that picket disrupter corvettes are pretty good at countering torpedo cruisers and fulfilling basic screening roles but I've also been mixing carriers into my fleets. Carriers fill the high-evasion anti-large slot role really well like the corvettes do at the end of the final battles and I've been using them 1:1 with my artillery fleets to a surprisingly good result.
Yes, it has, and I will be doing a series of videos on it in the near future when I get some time, got a busy week this week but hope to fit a few videos in. Will focus more on mixed fleets in large battles, see how they go against more mono fleets mixes of battleships and cruisers to see which is truly better.
The 1:1 ratio of carrier to battleships is how I've been playing the game since nearly release. Hasn't ever failed me.
We need the same video without Disruptors since they are banned in every lobby now. And a solid fleet comp tips for early/mid/late in PvP.
Not in my lobby it is not, as disrupters has counters, try going all missiles, artillery destroyers they wipe the floor with them. I think it is just a knee jerk reaction to ban disrupters but up to each group. Hardeners from mid to late game make them near useless. You can have destroyers by 15-20 years in the game, stick missiles on them and they counter disrupters, use StarBase's with strike craft, shred corvettes. Disrupters are strong but certainly not overpowered.

Screw planets have you seen space mining automata stacked up with nanites? Place your arc furnaces good as well and planets are for the weak.

Anyone else got a problem with being unable to equip a power component to the nanite battleship?
Never tried, will have a look when I get time back in the game.
@@tachyonlance1969 I have everything else equipped, just can't equip a power component and thus can't use the battleship at all :(
Are you using a mod of some type. I was able to put power on no problems, change it to what I wanted too, Dark Matter Power. Do an integrity check on your game files, sounds like something not right with your game.

In my most recent game back ive had good returns from kinetic torps and autocannons on torpedo comp cruisers. Of course ive run away on economy compared to the ai so losses and mistakes arent as big an issue but i think ill be using them for a while as i crank up the difficulty. Edit: also armor, 1 regen, reactive armor
Yes, it can be a good combination, Autocannons are very nice at close range, give the nanite auto cannons a try if you go down the Nanotech path, plus check out the New Ship Class, Nanite Battleships, I just did a video on it yesterday, very powerful.
Don't underestimate a swarmer fleet full of point defense. 200 point defense swarmers will prevent basically the entire enemy missile/torpedo volley. They will also have 90% evasion. So your enemy has to chew through 90% evasion point defense ships before they can really harm your battleships
That is a very good idea, Swarmers can use 4 PD or Flak points, so having a few hundred flies at say at medium range would shoot down a lot of the enemies strike craft/missiles/torps for a while. They won't last that long but long enough to make sure you win the battle and very cheap to replace. I would also use them as Carriers, 1 strike craft per swarmer and leave the nanite battleships for pure long-range firepower and close range torpedo barrage.
A lot of people complain they don't have enough nanites. I only have 27 planets about 40 systems, i make so many i literally can't spend them
Yes, if you play it right you will have millions in time.
nanite ascension is just the third crisis now
Hahaha, that is a good way to look at it, 3rd player crisis that is. But hard to beat Virtuality, it gives you such a massive early game lead they would kill you prior to having many nanites.
@@tachyonlance1969 you can curbstomp a virtual player pretty easily with proper planet sniping and tatics, but a wide Empire is harder to topple and stop, even more with free ships every 5 years, even If They work more as Canon fodder
Yes, if you see a player not building any ships, staying very small, hit them early and hit them hard and keep doing it so they can't just snowball into virtuality.
