Got to love the consistency….
Consistently in work or posting ? Lol
Both, most people dont post how they solved the issue they just post the car driving.
Thanks ! I agree, never can find how something was solved . I try to show the good and bad in my channel cause that’s real life. Never happens like the tv shows. In this case it was 2 things . 1 the jdm 2jz gte VVTI uses a different TPS sensor then the is300 one I had so I had to buy a new sensor. 2nd part of the problem was it just wasn’t adjusted right . Made a few adjustments and now she’s happier
Wow👍🏼 Congratulations, you’re very talented and knowledgeable about all this ! Great great sounds!
Thanks !!
You probably should have just bought a Mustang. 😂
Doc brown doesn’t drive a f@n mustang!
😂
Can I like this video like 50 times?
@@imseandunne man I hope so lol
I've briefly considered some shenanigans involving a V6 new edge mustang and a 3.5l ecoboost V6 out of a ford truck, I'll have to look and see if UPR make a catch can kit for that engine. Since the 3.5 is a twin turbo and the 2.3 is a single turbo, I doubt this exact kit would work, but it seems like these guys make good stuff.
100% they cover the full Ecoboost range . They make a great dual can kit for the 3.5. . I am going to put one on my 2024 3.5 raptor f150
No whammies!! Bwahahaha
At least someone gets my sense of humor lol
Congrats Jimmy. That’s a great place to be with the build. Finally, fire in the holes!
@@johnhickman106 hell yeah brother nothing replaces that feeling of building a motor from scratch and watching it come alive . It’s the car version of having a kid lol
@@timelesssteelgarage And almost as much fun as making a kid!
@johnhickman106 almost lol
@johnhickman106 maybe even cheaper lol
@@timelesssteelgarage That's not "maybe", that's a fact! As much as I've dumped into both Foxbodies, they are pennies compared to kids!
Really enjoyed the video Jimmy! I have an old 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer 360, and my old 2bbl carb needs an upgrade. I would really like installing the Holley Sniper II, intake and distributor as well. The video convinced me that it's absolutely doable! I'm sure this mod will make my old Jeep as reliable as it used to be!
@@edmundgutierrez1308 glad to here it thank you!

You were right . Started right up lol
You didn’t blow it up! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Success!!! Lol
Your exhaust came out sick!
@@mysterygarageCA thanks brother pretty cool for something made from scratch to sound that good !!!!
It’s alive! I can’t stand those fabric dash covers. They attract all the dirt and look so bad. Leather would be nicer! 😋
They make them in leather ? Lol
@@timelesssteelgarage I do believe I have seen them!
May have to look into that lol
Broooo that thing sounds nasty. I can’t wait to see you rip it for the first time!!
@@DonnieHuffman hahah thanks bro ! You will get to hear it in person !
Yes I love to see it…. I want to do a similar build…. Been watching since you started, but I’m doing it more on the budget side. I remember you saying it’s more of a peace of mind to spend the extra money especially when you decided to change the headers.
@@hustletomotivate8466 haha thanks . This started as a budget build but then I forgot about the budget lol . If you watch the playlist for the 2jz Merc I have documented the entire build as a template for someone else in the future Sounds like you have ! I hope it helps! Get to building
@@timelesssteelgarage yes, greatly appreciated, I have watched the videos more than once. I’m currently in college. But I will be taking a break in my spring semester so I’m hoping during those 4 months I can at least have the engine assembled. (I just have the oem rings and bearings left to order) Love the videos. Keep them coming they are inspirational Ps your organization and explanation of things are the best I have seen throughout all the 2jz videos on UA-cam.
@@hustletomotivate8466 I really appreciate it thank you ! I’ll keep going .
Congrats brother, hard to match that feeling!!
@@stacetriebwasser6425 thank you . Yeah it’s unreal . When it goes from a thought to an idea to 2 years of hard work. It’s literally like a kid being born .
🎉🎉
Hell yea 🫡 Can’t wait to see this thing run 🤌🏼
😂😂😂
Can’t fkn wait 🎉
Mine don’t have a center hole to screw into. I bought the kit, but I don’t have a center hole to screw into.
Finally…. Been waiting for this moment since you started
Just waiting on some power steering lines to come in. Hopefully be firing it within a week
Oddly you have a youtube channel you spends months of calls and emails with noluck like everyone else. Then when you post a youtube video then youget a responce. Now you think your buddys with them. What about everyone else here saying they got screws ? Do they need to post video's of it to get help ? Will they have to tear out thier efi and wait months for a refund or exchange too ? Win one for you at least.
Apparently with the research I’ve done people have had problems with the ECM’s being mounted in the EFI unit and over heating. The only reason they done you right was because your first video had a lot of views which changed a lot of peoples minds about sinking money into a Holley EFI. All that stuff they sent you would cost me a heck of a lot of money only to gamble on getting the results you got in your first experience.
Was contemplating buying the Holly Sniper but this changed my mind. I’ll stay with my carb.
It's time to go back to the future mate
@@userssline 100%
gorgeous indeed 😊
Dude excellent video as always. I have been looking at these guys for the chevelle for a few years and read the install documents several times. Your video answered a few muddy questions I had from there instructions. Hey American powertrain Jimmy needs to be your product support guy!!!!!
Haha thanks Donnie ! That Chevelle is gonna be bad ass. Also they are local to us in cookeville which is awesome ! You can save in shipping and just drive out there. I have been using them for my tremec kits exclusively forever
@@timelesssteelgarage I’m trying to get on your level brother!! One day I need to have timeless Steele over to my shop and get your bearings on my project!

Best of luck with the TKX, but you won't need it. All three of us that have Foxbodies on our channel do as well. It feels and shifts like a T5 (better, actually), but with so much more strength. I haven't missed a 2d to 3rd gear shift yet. It's that easy.
I don’t doubt it John , I was a huge fan of the tko 500/600 series Had one in my 70c10 . I absolutely abused that transmission. Whent through 3 engines and several clutches . Never had an issue with the trans lol
@@johnhickman106 you remember that truck. I was a real idiot for selling it . Called the guy I sold it to. Course he had already sold it on.
@timelesssteelgarage That was a great truck. I remember you buying that thing in like late 2008 when we were at Taji. Then Steve bent up the front bumper! 😀 We talked for hours about what motor combination, etc you wanted to do. You settled on the aluminum-headed SBC with the manual; Great truck. The TKX is another animal altogether. Unlike the TKO, which is like a Top Loader with an overdrive, you can rev this one and shift way up high with no complaints from it. I have regularly shifted at 7K with no issues.
@johnhickman106 damn that’s bad ass ! Guess this cars gonna need a sikki drift brake lol
@@timelesssteelgarage You’ll be happy with the TKX. So…. Time to start fabbing that brake…
Maybe Holley also invented the no spill gas can spout?
Beautiful ! Plus you can unbolt the door skins .. i had one in the past 👍
I’ve always loved these cars all the way up until the 1990s My first car was a 1966 Buick wildcat convertible that car was awesome red with a white top and white interior. I really liked looking at yours
Absolutely gorgeous in red ! Buick's answer to the Thunderbird. First gen thru Boat tail, you cant go wrong...👍🏁
I still love the boat tail always wanted one but when I could afford one along came the little ones and there went that dream. 😢😢
@@miketavernier4887 Yup, when I allow myself to think about the cars I let go of for family 's sake it definitely brings a tear to my eye, (a 63 Ford Unibody pick up comes to mind) but we're Dads & that's what Dads do ...👍🏁
Thanks for sharing your experience. A lot of companies outsource their customer support to specialized companies that don’t understand the product they support. Very frustrating, especially when the in-house techs can’t issue RMA’s at the end of a debug process. That said, kudos to the Holley CEO for recognizing that they failed you, and making it right.
All the same junk. Get rid of them rubbers and tig some good shit on it ready to go. I made 1153whp at 18psi with a blown hg with China junk on a Windsor. People line up pipes back purge them and all that when in the end it's going to make just as much power just ain't going to set records
The problem with that sniper unit is the computers are in the throttle body and the heat and vibration of the motor Cooks the electronics , and then things start going bad
My dad bought my mom a 66 Riviera custom ... Big block caddy engine, heavy duty tranny and 4 wheel disc brakes. That was in 1968
Bad ass car
When I was junking cars back in the seventies and making a living with I junk cars for a living 65 beautiful just like that inside and outside it just had a bad transmission in the old man parked a white body with blue interior if I only knew what they would be worth in the future
@@RobertLowery-l3w ah hate to hear it lol
Long story short you wasted a video to tell me nothing what was the point of
Guess I need to do a video cause my sniper 1 has been a nightmare and Holley says I need to fix my RF wiring
Great short
@@heavyleather thanks !
Yeah im happy they looked out for you but what about everyone else that bought there faulty junk? I have to have a UA-cam channel to get an honest shake?
Man im having no spark issues again, last year just out of warranty. So i paid 250 plus shipping for the throttle body, but i paid an holley authorized mechanic to fix, i was 2400 after said and done and now im having yhe same issue a year later. I want to go carb, can you help me with what i will need to switch over. I have the hyperspark ignition, holley distributor. I was going to send it back and sell the whole system to pay for the switch. I just dont know what i will need
But you didn't pre-fill the new filter!?
😂😂😂😂😂
you cant, its upside down if you prefill it it just spills out again when you screw it in
@@morechessmorecex Was just a joke as prefilling the new filter has sparked massive debates on the interwebs. Many for reasons such as you mentioned along with filters being mounted sideways. Others argue that the oil in the new filter is "unfiltered", contaminates yadda yadda yadda. Fun times.
@@bryongliege8090 lol joke flew right over my head 😂
I have one in a 00’ jeep xj. Borg 372 4x4
Bad ass!

EFI suxs… if it has a micro chip it suxs… if it takes a computer to make it work… it suxs. How many yrs using mechanical fuel delivery vs how many w a computer? And now we learn that our government wants to be able to control any new vehicle by the flip of a phone call plus want it to report you as the owner to law enforcement. Look it up for yourself and laws passed and what manufacturers are doing TODAY! So I’ll just enjoy my banger with a POS 2 barrel that can’t be controlled or talked to by anything but my screwdriver
