Cool stuff! Exciting times in the 2.5-10Gbps world.. and 2 PoE+ ports is a nice touch!

So it's just a different way of representing a group.

Alta doesn't have any Wifi 7, no 5 GbE Ethernet switches, no aggregation switches, no rack mount for the on-prem controller. Still plenty more issues if I go digging for me to consider Alta.

Is this available to anyone large or small? Or just larger corporations? What cell networks is this compatible with?

ETA here in AU seems to be in 1 month (in my cart). Wondering if they will have Auto SITE to Site as well. Also Really wish they would release the AP7Pro or what ever they will call it. We well and install a ton of Unifi gear and was really looking forward to this. Also, if there is a small 8 port 2.5G Switch maybe a S8-POE Pro. Very excited here

Finally an alternative platform that has router, switches and APs. Other than the rather ubiquitous platform, all others only cover some systems or require yearly licensing.

Do we know which chip handling these Ethernet? Perhaps Quad-core just off loading them all?

Without a router, Alta isn't generally relevant. Additionally, including account setup, cloud controller subscription setup, etc. skews results. Also, adoption of a UniFi device typically takes less time than shown here, including the automatic firmware update done as part of the adoption process. Furthermore, wifi network confirguation can be done before or during the adoption and FW update process. Including the physical installation, if an existing controller and network are already previously set up, a UniFi AP can be installed in similar or less than than thr Alta AP.

Alta labs ceiling mount is awkward, very difficult to install. I really like the access point, but because of mount, I’m returning.

Will El Salvador be part of the countries list in the future? The demand for quality and well priced switches and APs is high. Cisco works, but too expensive for most businesses. Planning to start my own MSP over there.

With the screws so far through the rail mount you will damage the ceiling. Why are they so long?

The only thing I don't like is that for the first time setup I have to depend on an internet connection and register the controller. It should be able to be done completely offline without this hard dependency.
