Nice to see a fellow TO based M2 shooter. It’s exactly like driving my 42 year old 911. Both require presence of mind, intention, forethought and a body to machine familiarity that develops over time to get the most out of them. Whether it’s driving or shooting, the journey is as rewarding as the result, without automatic modes, stability control or ABS.

Interesting reflection on photographing people from behind. I like your thoughts. I also liked more the NC500 than the CineStill, the halations look forced and cheap in the CineStill400, looks like a cheap movile app or so. The grain on the NC500 is FIRE!!

going through my late grandma's films and scanning them from early 1960s. this video will help a lot to restore them in davinci!

I think slide film in generally has this incredible ability to recreate the world as it is and its super true to life, but just adds that little bit of je ne sais quois that actually makes it look better than real life.

My last box of 20 sheets of 4x5 Provia was $129. Available from B& H or Sammy’s camera. Processing is $9.50 per sheet. Mistakes take the fun out of it.

Amazing shots! I e-mailed Fuji Canada earlier this year about their reversal film availability and they told me it should be available mid 2025.I hope we don't lose fuji-FILM.. They could of taken advantage of the film boom but they prefer to make and sell instax and digital cameras. This summer I'll buy 2 pro packs in 120 and keep them in the freezer.

The lack of availability is wild. I've had B&H alerts on Provia in 120 for 9+ months now. Every 2 weeks I get an email telling me I'm SOL.

That photo of the red Fiat(?) under the tarp is my favourite 🙏🔥 It’s true what you say about the longevity of slide film. I shot a roll of 120 Ektachrome that expired 40 years ago and the results were surprisingly good.

I’m SO glad I bought a huge amount of film a few years ago for around $2 to $6 per roll. I probably have 40 or more rolls of Provia and Velvia in a freezer. I have Provia 100F loaded in one of my Mamiya RB67s right now.

Dude, Provia 100F gave me my best images I've ever shot, but sometimes it's very difficult to meter, and it doesn't deal very well with high contrast.

Hi there, really great review, i really do enjoy using the AE-1 for fast pace run and gun photography. The AE-1 is actually a shutter priority camera. The AV-1 was the aperture priority camera.. 😊,cheers bro,looking forward to more of your videos

Absolutely love that shot at 10:10. The expired film gives it a hazy, creepy look in my opinion. Sometimes less detail makes something more mysterious, since there is more left to the imagination. Its hard to see between all those tree trunks but thats exactly why I love it.

Can you tell me a bit about why you chose that Fuji camera?

It’s quite challenging finding the right spot and of course a decent weather conditions to shoot film in Ontario. Chasing fog on top of that is just super hard. I shoot B&W exclusively from November until April. Great images!

Nice images sir! I actually shoot expired film almost exclusively. I really enjoy the mystery and surprises that show up, even when adjusting my exposures to compensate for the age of the film. I’m currently into shooting 16mm movies in very vintage cameras on very expired stock.

Wasn't a fan of the 35mm format but 120 looks much better! Definitely need to grab a couple of rolls and give it a go myself. Nice photos man!
