What can I say that hasen't been said, perhaps the most important motorcycle of the 20th century. All colors of the USA models (and 1 euro) from 1969 to 1978. Plus the F model variations. I did leave out the "automatic" models as I consider these to be ugly, low performace, poor selling abortions.Other than that I really like them. 1969/1970 - K0 53,000 made. The first 7414 were sandcast models 1...

All colors and models of the Suzuki T500 series motorcycles. A 500cc two stroke twin built between 1968 and 1977. The first model was called the 1968 500/5 and had a very short wheelbase that produced handling that Suzuki concluded was too, shall we say, abrupt.Only somewhere between 100 and 250 of these were produced before they lengthened the swingarm and renamed it the 1968 Suzuki T500 Cobra...

My first big bike when l was 20. Black and silver 650E. I put Yammy RD 400 bars on as they were higher than the UK ones. Girling rear shocks and a 2 into 1 sidewinder exhaust. Loved that bike, alas most have been bastardised these days.

I RELUCTANTLY SOLD MY 1970 (MANUFACTURED 12/69) HONDA CB750 K0 MOTORCYCLE WITH 45,191 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, Vin #: CB7501016269, ENGINE #: CB750E-1016228 FOR US$ 11,000 TO A CUSTOMER IN DENMARK MORE THAN 12-YEARS AGO. THIS AMAZING MOTORCYCLE CHANGED THE PATH OF MY LIFE, AND OWNED ME FOR MORE THAN 35 WONDERFUL YEARS! IT WAS PURCHASED IT IN THE SUMMER OF 1972 WITH LESS THAN 4,000 MILES ON IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER FOR $935.00 (PLUS "USE TAX" AND "TRANSFER FEES", THOSE STATE BASTARDS!). BECAUSE OF A DESIRE TO PRECISELY MAINTAIN THIS MOTORCYCLE, I WENT TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER (KOLBE HONDA) AND ORDERED THE FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL. I LOOKED AT THE REQUIRED TOOL LIST AND SAW THIS "VACUUM CARBURETOR SYNCHRONIZER" AND WENT TO THE KOLBE PARTS MANAGER WHO TOLD ME THE PRICE WAS $387.00! SINCE THIS WAS MORE THAN THREE TIMES WHAT I PAID FOR THE ENTIRE BIKE, I RODE TO THE LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE AND PURCHASED FOUR VACUUM GAUGES, 3-16" RUBBER VACUUM LINE, "BUNDY" BRAKE LINE TUBING, AND FOUR METRIC SCREWS THAT MATCHED THE PORTS ON THE CARBURETORS. LOOKING AT THE SMALL PHOTO IN THE MANUAL OF THE SYNCHRONIZER, I REALIZED I NEEDED TO PURCHASE FOUR "NEEDLE VALVES" AT THE AQUARIUM STORE TO DAMPEN THE INTAKE PULSATIONS. I BUILT A COPPER MANIFOLD AND ATTACHED THE FOUR DISASSEMBLED GAUGES TO A VACUUM PUMP (AN OLD REFRIGERATOR COMPRESSOR) A LEARNED TO CALIBRATE THE ANDROID GAUGES SO THAT THEY ALL TRACKED EACH OTHER, THEY DIDN'T COM THAT WAY FROM THE FACTORY! I CUT THE BUNDY TUBING INTO LENGTHS, AND BRAZED IT TO THE METRIC SCREWS THAT I HAD DRILLED AND ADDED RUBBER O-RINGS. AFTER COMPLETING AND TESTING THE PROTOTYPE, I WENT BACK TO THE PARTS MANAGER AND SHOWED IT TO HIM AND HE SAID HOW MUCH FOR A QUANTITY OF TEN? AFTER NEGOTIATING A PRICE WITH HIM, ON MAY-15-1972 (MY 20TH BIRTHDAY) I FORMED MY FIRST COMPANY, THE "FOUR DESIGNS COMPANY" TO MANUFACTURE MY FIRST COMMERCIAL PRODUCT: THE "VACU-TUNE" CARBURETOR SYNCHRONIZATION GAUGE SET FOR HONDA FOUR MOTORCYCLES (I SOLD MORE THAN 3,000 OF THE GAUGE SETS). I SOLD THE COMPANY TO MY JR. HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND AND IT IS STILL IN BUSINESS, NOW RE-MANUFACTURING ELECTRONIC TEST AND MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENTS, SEE: WWW.FOURDESIGNS.COM). I KNOW THAT THERE IS A LOT OF INTEREST IN THE ORIGINAL PRODUCTION RUN OF THESE MOTORCYCLES WITH THE "SAND-CAST" MAIN ENGINE CASES, BUT AESTHETICALLY, I ALWAYS PREFERRED THE FINISHED LOOK OF THE PAINTED DIE-CAST CASES. I DEFINITELY PREFER THE LOOK OF THE K0 MODEL WITH IT'S MATCHING PAINTED SIDE COVERS, AIR-BOX, AND HEADLIGHT BUCKET. THE K1 MODEL JUST DIDN'T HAVE THAT UNIQUE LOOK THAT THIS ORIGINAL MOTORCYCLE IS FAMOUS FOR.

The most beautiful bike I ever had was a Brilliant Red XS2. I rebuilt the engine, shaved the head and put 920 Virago valves and a Megacycle Shell Thuet cam and braced many things and it would pull the ton in 4 th and 5 th you could feel the wind blowing through. Man that 256 engine was a beast. It wheel dynoed at 67 hp. Sounds lame but it had so much out of the corners and the band was like stock 6000-7500 was just as strong as the midrange, I T wanted to throw you off. I loved that bike. It was the last of its kind.

Not showing all models/colours... The first cobras I ever saw in australia were white. Also, none of the 1968 or 1969 bikes had a tank rack - oem nos 46510-15100. Some came with these racks. I'm not dreaming, apart from seeing them myself, careful google hunting will show some with racks.
