Ding Yuan Musou - Battle of Chang Shan (DW4)
I got a little sloppier with this one - I forget to edit some messages in-game so had to do it in my video editor. I didn't wanna re-do the level since it'd take more time, so tell me in the comments if you'd prefer a longer wait in the event I need to do extra after-effects.
- BACKSTORY -
After helping to defeat the Yellow Turbans, Ding Yuan makes his way back to Bing province - only to find out a ragtag group of bandits have taken control of the north! Yuan gathers his army to crush them, and their leader Zhang Yan sends a plea to Gongsun Zan for aid. Zan decides to send his cousin Gongsun Yue to push back Ding Yuan, worrying for his own safety if all of Bing province is secured under Yuan. Ding Yuan isn't aware of this, and he will surely come to consider Gongsun Zan his future enemy once he gets word of the impeding army...

Many generics share the same voice actor, I believe the one for He Jin (or rather this generic class) is actually the same one for Zhang He too!
These voice lines can be founded in HxD. You can type the words and there's a lot of hidden lines there.
But how would you go about finding it in HxD? Like converting the actual words to hex and searching that?
Are these actual lines for He Jin in DW4?
@@RedLegion56 yes, they'll play if your allied officers start dying, but from my experience it's usually very hard to get them killed 😭 I suppose you could use the boulders or fire geysers to try to get them legitimately

It’s amazing how this game has been out for a little over 20 years now and we’re still discovering new stuff. The attention to detail in the old DW games was superb, especially in DW4. Koei taking the effort to record unique voice lines for almost any scenario in Free mode gave us gems like Sima Yi taunting Sima Yi, and Dong Zhuo defeating Hua Xiong. Regarding these He Jin voice lines, it’s actually very impressive that any player could genuinely discover this because I think the Yellow Turban Rebellion stage is very difficult to lose, at least in this manner. I feel if any part of this stage gives a player trouble it would be the hazards like the fire geysers or the boulders, or even Zhang Jiao himself. Basically, all things that would kill the player directly, your forces move too slow to be in any kind of jeopardy. It’s almost like Koei rewards you with these voice lines for playing so poorly lol. Also one Lu Bu is more than enough to deal with, we don’t need 10 of em running around! Lmao great video man, thanks for sharing this!
