Bernese Mountain Dog Suffering From Bloat
Berner (his name is Packer!) started showing signs of distress. Immediately took him to the vet for emergency surgery. He survived and is doing great; but even this short clip is hard to watch knowing how much he was suffering.

I had this when i was 15 years old. It was 2006. I was in CHEO in Canada, the journey threw this was crazy! My parents took me to CHEO 8 times, and then to the Queensway adult hospital. But by this time i was already dying. It took the doctors several days to figure out what was wrong with me they had to call in a Specialist from Toronto Children's Hospital and helicopter him in. They sat down at a desk with over 40 doctors all trying to figure pout what was wrong with me. I died the 3rd night in ICU ( in a isolation room), Luckily my heart started again and thats when they decided to do the meeting. They basically told my parents they had no idea what was wrong with me. Im so happy that you are educating people about the rare but yet deadly syndrome because it comes on super quick within a few hours i was very sick and then within a 1 week i was basically dying. So thank you for this!

This doesn’t look like Lemierre’s syndrome, as that disease causes swelling in the throat in the vein not in the brain.

Our dog recently had bloat and it was so distressing to witness. Our vet rushed him into surgery and he pulled through ok. Berners are so wonderful and sadly prone to so many medical conditions.

Nice, but 40 to 50 years ago. You guys are on UA-cam and say animals are smart yet never think how easy your life is because of God and the brains and body he gave you. Smart, stop and don't say relative. To send the youtube signal to need a satellite and towers and then the electricity and the phone and so on and so forth. Animals make satellites and cities, please grasp hole of reality. Just 200 years ago (even a 100), especially in rural areas you had to make bread. Do you know, especially if you saw a western how hard it was just to make bread. You get the wheat or raw product and break it up and so on and so forth and maybe after 6 or 7 hours you have a loaf of bread. Now you go to the bakery and buy ten loafs in 5 minutes of need be, that's how smart we are. Help the sick and poor humans being taking advantage over. Sorry, but I love people and own animals. Lastly, the lion didn't hug him with his arms it was his legs you dummy. This is why people that are smart look at these people and say boy, she earns what and Lisa just saved 10 kids lives last month at the hospital and gets pittance. This is the tragedy. But I digress. But it shows you people think smelly animals that poop and pee anywhere they want (and with cats, that spray) are people, pathetic. NOTE: But they don't tell you that boy, the dominant male christian was introduced to attack one of the workers and Adamson heard this and knew it was boy (that speaks volumes of what they knew and let happen) and ran out with his rifle and shot boy "through the heart." He knew that you have to kill then once they attack humans and that human life is better and more important than an animal with out a soul. Thanks for reading, sorry it was a little long, but when she said he hugged you with his arms I had to see if anyone said anything and no one did. James.

We've been taught that animals are different. And it's important to educate. There is a documentary about Christian, and I've shared it with many folks over the years. "They" say that animals don't remember? Come on! And his mate --- she trusted them, too. Explain that, science! Just saying, we've been misled about a lot of things. Give us truth in science, not convenient lies.

I'm so glad I watched this show, because I had my own scenario just like these people had suffered: misdiagnoses, poor communication and unwilling doctors and nurses. That's how I finally checked myself out of one hospital in to St. Josephs Hospital of Atlanta. I had a Meckel's Diverticulum which is an overgrowth of colon along with a pouch that attaches itself to the underside of my belly button. After 24 days in ICU including major surgery, and over 2 months of useless suffering because of the negligence of other doctors, they removed 3 liters of poisonous fluid from my stomach, I was sent home to recover. I knew I had ruptured something, and when I presented my symptoms to a cardiologist, he told me to look up this condition. He was right all along. Thank God I pushed the case, because it definitely was Meckel's Diverticulum. It's only supposed to happen to children? No way.

You can find them on facebook at Justin E Rodgers Foundation for Lemierre's Awareness. Also check Lemierresyndromedotcom. Had to spell the dot out or it wouldn't post.
