Chainsaw Man has over 150 chapters in the manga, but the anime only covers the first 40 or so. I do believe that a movie is coming out soon that will cover the next story arc, so if you're not a fan of reading manga then you'll definitely want to check that out when it releases.

You should check out Magical Destroyer by Aimi. It’s the opening from Magical Destroyers. Crazy opening, but highly recommend listening to the full version instead of the short version used in the show.

I heard a little bit about this; a friend of mine lived in Japan (later the drummer of a band I was in! :D) and was into the night life a little bit, and I learned from him that, in Japan, there's a lot of stigma around dance clubs and music venues, like Nijika said in this scene. Some bad things happened in some dance clubs apparently, and that was enough to make the government come down HARD against these places, which sucks because they're an important gathering place for the youth. But society just assumed that they were places for yakuza to do bad business or for the youth to become endangered somehow, I guess. Up until as recently as 2015, it was actually illegal to dance (like, dancing in clubs - traditional o-bon festival dancing and the like was seen as OK, of course :P) in Japan. Basically, Japan had/has a "War on Dance" like we have the "war on drugs" in the US, you could say. Totally misguided and concern-trolling laws and regulation that ruined lives.

Anime will tend to have 1 opening per 12/13 episodes. And a new one per season. So if there is 1 season and its only 12 episodes long it will just have one opening. If it has 24 episodes in 1 season, it will usually have 2 openings. If there is 2 seasons with 24 episodes per season, that woulf make usually 4 openings if that makes sense

i also started a band in school recently, i plays the rythem guitar found a bass player, lead guitar, drummer and a singer. it was fun ngl and our first performance is coming up this december in our school. Yeah, fun

Fun fact, T.M. Revolution, the "band" that did Soul Eater's op is just this ONE DUDE, ALONE. He's been active since 89, doing a bunch of insane electronic rock, synthpop, alternative rock and related genre's productions and in some bands as well. He is actually a beast on the japanese music scenario. But yeah, Resonance is not my favorite piece by him either, very ok-ish.

So, a bit of info on Bleach: It's a looooooong running anime, and after many many years, it came back to finish the latest manga arc that was never made into an anime. So, logically, as almost all long running anime do, it has a bunch of openings and endings for every 20-something episodes, if I recall correctly. Some are good, some ain't my cup of tea, very few are hard enough to be remotely considered metal, I can actually only remember "Ichirin no Hana", which I think is opening number 3. But most of Bleach's openings and endings fall into j-pop, modern j-rock and stuff. Some are really cool though, Asterisk being one of the good ones! D-Tecnolife is also a very good one, so maybe you could do both openings number 2 and 3 as well? And yeah Orange Range, the band that did Asterisk is a rap rock japanese band, really dig them! And they do a bunch of anime songs, so you could also maybe check that out!

I'm beyond psyched that you took the Detroit Metal City recommendation, niiiice! And yeah, you didn't use the show intro version of the song to react, you took a full version, which, btw, is nice. I think reacting to just the cut, anime sized versions may take some of the experience away from the song as it was intended to be listened to. Anyways, AWESOME show, you should watch it and maybe do some videos on it, it's short and completely insane, hilarious, at times kinda offensive, I'd say? It makes you incredulous at some of the stuff they put in it lol

The Bleach intros keep a 90s - early 2000s vibe even in the season that is still coming out.

The Berserk opening had a cover done by Polyphia which I though was pretty cool. I do like the original version of the song better because it has a raw sound that matches the show. Sadly that opening was for the 2016 show which ended up being animated terribly.

I recommend openings 3 and 14 for Bleach if you want the metal ones. The rest are still very good but mostly jrock, a little on the indie or punk side.
